Great family experience. My guys kept ordering spicy Bulgogi! Japchae was the best! The customer service and waitress were very friendly and helpful and understanding the order and how things worked here! Definitely coming back on a day when we're extra hungry!

Came here for the first time on a Friday night to celebrate a special occasion with a few friends. I always wanted to try this spot since it opened but I'm finally to be able to go here. They were very busy this night and the parking lot had a couple spots open, but we were able to go park. I like that we got seated right away, and it was around 10:30PM. I didn't realize the layout was pretty open-aired a little, there's tables directly out in the patio. It was a heatwave type of week so the nights were hot, but overall I had a nice time here. I don't usually have any stomach issues eating Kbbq, but for some reason my stomach was hurting probably 10-15 minutes after eating and it happened the entire meal. No one else felt the same way though so maybe my body was off on this night. I think the meat quality wasn't too bad, but I've had better. We almost got the supreme AYCE menu because we wanted a specific thing on the menu, for example the steamed egg but we were able to get it for a la carte. It's $3.99 when ordered separately outside the standard options. Staff were ontop of changing our grills and asking us for what meat we'd like to order next. Props to them!

    Thats what we ordered

Food and service was excellent- best go to for korean bbq A must try but we enjoyed our lunch

Reasonably priced and great quality kbbq!! The side dishes were as expected, except for the potato salad which was pretty watery. Besides that, everything was delish. Never had been to a kbbq spot that offered beef tallow to prime your grill with!! Loved it and all of the meat options. Plus there were a wide variety of appetizers to choose from. My personal faves were the tofu soup and the soy garlic Korean fried chicken. Honestly would come back and bring my family. Great service and your typical kbbq ambiance.

My kids have been here with their Dad but it was my first time - my younger son wanted to go here because of the meat selection. He tried the tongue before and wanted to order it again so we have to do the premium as that includes beef tongue. We went here on a Saturday after 3pm so it's in between the rush period so there were a lot of seats available. Our favorites were the prime beef belly (melts in your mouth) and of course we got all the meat that came with the premium. Also got the prime brisket, for seafood we got lobster and squid. They have the cheese melted on corn, chapchae and steamed egg in the apps which we ordered. Other k bbq places don't give you fat - they have fat for the stove so you melt that fat before you put the meat in. I just had to ask them to replace the stove too 2x . I think the exhaust is decent, compared to other places. Overall good choice for the k bbq in the valley.

this is a super solid ayce korean bbq place in the san fernando valley!! the servers were very kind and helpful. they have a big parking lot and a good amount of seating! they said usually you can order 4 meats per round meats we ordered: brisket spicy pork belly thinly sliced ponzu pork belly sides: soy garlic chicken 5/5: SO GOOD I LOVED THE SAUCE kimchi fried rice 4.5/5: comes with egg too!! which adds good flavor honey butter fries 5/5: it literally tastes like the honey butter calbee chips i've never seen this flavoring on fries it's def worth a try a great spot to grub and catch up with friends!! the ambiance was lively there at 6pm ish on a sunday

    Parking situation

Parking: We came at around 7-8 pm and there is a small lot on the backside of the restaurant. The parking was super limited and spots were extremely compact. I almost witnessed several accidents lol! Despite how busy it was on a Friday night, we came without a reservation and were added to the waitlist for a booth for two, the hostess gave us an estimated wait time upfront, and we ended up waiting about 40 minutes with the specification of not wanting to sit outside or on high chairs in the communal center of the restaurant. We put our names down and got a virtual timer/estimator which was helpful and we were notified to check in once ready. Ambiance: The dining area was large and open with a mix of booth seating along the walls, standard tables, and higher countertop seating options in the middle of the restaurant. The ambiance matched what you'd expect from a busy KBBQ spot, lively, bustling, and a little loud. Since we went on a Friday night, the atmosphere was expected and did not negatively impact the experience. Even while cooking at the table, conversations were still easy to have throughout the dinner. Despite the grills heating the air, the temperature felt nice and regulated which is rare with KBBQ and was honestly impressive. Food: We recommend upgrading to the supreme. I think the price was steep for the fact that you are limited to one order per person with certain items on the supreme menu, also for the lack of service. Additionally, I feel as though items such as galbi shouldn't be held behind the paywall of the supreme upgrade...But that's the food landscape of the valley for ya! We got several orders of the brisket, a couple of galbi, beef bulgogi, the prime steak, the giant short rib, radish paper, prime MGD steak and most importantly, only one order of rice between two people. Service: Our server was good and attentive, but the restaurant felt understaffed for a busy Friday and the host was not much help. Our server came once to replace our grill top but we would've wished for more opportunities to order more since you are limited to 3 items at a time. All things considered the true and final review is a 3.5 stars for MGD

Went to MGD today with friends and had such a great time. The food was amazing! Our server, David, helped us decide between dishes. Will definitely be coming back to this beautiful place.

A friend recommended this spot and I was excited to try. We went for Father's Day and it was pretty busy but we were able to get a seat fairly quickly. Plenty of parking in the plaza. The service was top notch. We had an amazing and attentive server, but I didn't catch his name! That was on me. But overall it was a great experience. We got the standard AYCE menu which was $38.95 for adults. There were plenty of selections- pork, beef, chicken, seafood, appetizers, you name it! We ordered a bit of everything and was incredibly satisfied with it all. They also have a fun drink menu of soju cocktails. I would definitely come back. The price is SO good for what you get. Love it here!

Had an amazing experience at MGD! Our waiter, Paul, was incredibly attentive, polite, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. Even other staff members came by and helped with our orders without us having to ask, hard to find good service at kbbq and they deliver here! 1. Amazing food 2. Great drinks 3. Always good music Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service. Definitely one of our go-to Korean BBQ spots!

There were several employees that saw us just standing there, but we still waited there for 5 mins before someone told the girl from outside to take us to our table. We were finally seated. Then guy who told the girl to seat us was just standing around d chit chatting with another employees for about 15 minutes before he even came to our table. He never even introduce himself. He just took our order. Another 20 mins came by before our food was served. OUR FOOD WAS ROOM TEMPERATURE. Short Rib was ok. The macaroni was stale and OLD! It was dry and not fresh! We asked for extra BBQ sauce and that didn't arrive for another 15 mins. We had to wave down another employee to try to get the sauce to us. I wouldn't recommend this place! Horrible service. Didn't even come around to see if we needed anything or if everything was good or not. We came here around 1:30pm on 3/16. The restroom was also out of paper towels and soap from the soda dispenser. Poor quality food! Glad I tried it, so I know to not come back again!

Wednesday worker plate Pork ribs…read moreBrisket Cornbread To preface this review, I ordered takeout and ate the food roughly 1 hour after and was slightly cold. The Wednesday worker plate had an assortment of meats and a chunk of cornbread, which I thought was a good way to try some of their various offerings. The barbecue chicken consisted of a leg and a wing piece, which i thought was overall fine. The shredded pork was well seasoned and moist, and the hot link pieces were very flavorful. The beef adobo was my favorite as it had a very deep and rich coconut flavor that complimented the meat. The pork ribs were very tender and juicy and had a good meaty pork flavor. The brisket was also good too. Both these meats reheated well later in the day and was still tasty! The cornbread was also exceptional and eating it, I felt it was more like a dessert but also worked well between bites. The cornbread was moist more cakey, and had a very deep sweet coconut flavor. This is the standout. Overall delicious and recommend!

We ordered four of the most ordered and highly revered items: tri tip, coconut beef adobo, smoked gouda mac, and the cornbread bibingka. * Tri tip: Ours was cold and not tender.. wasn't very flavorful either. Kinda tasted like the forgotten order that's been left drying on the counter for some time. The price is decent for an entree of tri tip though. Comes with a horseradish sauce + vinegar and bbq sauce on the side, but I didn't think any of these accompaniments were strong on their own. Made the tri tip better but not by much. * Coconut beef adobo: One of the better items. Beef chunks were melt in your mouth and the sauce was a good middle between savory and vinegary - balanced out by sweetness from the coconut. * Smoked gouda mac: Would not order again. The big shell macaroni noodles were soggy; the cheese sauce was mild in flavor, clumpy and not satisfying melty; lastly, the panko crust was just there and didn't add anything imo. * Cornbread bibingka: The other better dish of the night - very moist, muffin like crumb, and not too sweet or heavy. Portion is on the smaller side though. My bf who normally isn't a fan of cornbread enjoyed this!

I usually go with the Angus beef rib (soy tare) and toro beef (soy tare), and the combo comes with rice, salad, and miso soup. At $15.95 (before tax), it's a great value for two meat options. Another thing I like -- though it might not be for everyone -- is that you get to cook your own meat. I prefer my meat done a certain way, so it's nice having that control, and everyone can cook it to their own preference. I do wish they let us know about the included miso soup wasn't vegetarian at first because I had to switch it for the seaweed salad later but at least the staff were very accommodating. I guess the negative would be is it felt like a "rushed" experience and the food didn't blow me away.
