Came here for lunch with my daughter on a Sunday. The environment is quiet and staff is friendly. She ordered a Philadelphia roll that she loved the combination of cream cheese and salmon. I ordered a Maru combination with salmon, chicken, and a crunch roll. The combination came with a salad and miso soup like most places. The service was excellent, the restaurant was very clean, the food was delicious, it is a little pricey, but it is definitely worth it especially if you are getting all you can eat. This place was not good. They are trying to cut corners on stuff. The Wasabi wasn't hot at all. We were there for an hour and hadn't even got all of our first round of sushi. Very disappointed with Maru. Waited 45min for table when there were empty tables that I was told were for reservations. When finaly seated service was very slow, 10 min for drink order and another 10 min more before they took our order sheet. We were seated for 45min before first roll was recieved then 15 more for our next small 2 5pc rolls. We had to ask multiple times for our order sheet to try to order second round. We fianly had to stand up and ask for check because or son was falling asleep and at 1:30 in service was not getting better and place was empty so it wasnt due to being busy. When they finaly brought check they did give a discount or just charge for rolls recived not the ayce price but then refused to take my Groupon because they discounted my bill. So now im stuck with a $30 groupon coupon for a place I will not return to. read more

It was ok. The service was not too good. I did not like that I couldn't order the crawfish or popcorn unless it was dinner. She told me I had to pay for dinner price for those rolls. This was my first time here and it was just alright. Our server was great and service was great. The food was okay. We got AYCE lunch for 1 adult and 1 child and it come up to around $40 which is pretty good. Now for the food part. The rolls are big and filled with a lot of imitation crab which I wasn't a fan of. Also, I've never had a big chunk of bone whenever I eat eel until today, and I don't know if that's normal or not. And they only offer the baked crawfish roll at dinner which was a huge upset to my brother and I. This place is good but it's literally the small details they're lacking on which bummers me because there's so much potential! Hence why I had to give 3 stars. Perhaps I shall return soon in the future, give it another shot, and update this review. read more

Mediocre food. Horrible service. They rushed us to order because they were getting ready to close an hour before closing. The servers came only at the beginning to take our order. Never again. Too much rice in each roll. Not worth AYCE. At the end, they charged us super extra for some left overs when they didn't even warn us how big each one was because of the amount of rice. At the end, we waited a while just to get boxes and they never came back. We had to get up to pay for our check and also they never gave us to go bags. I am a regular to maru sushi and I can say that it is very yummy place to eat at. The environment is clean and modern, the sushi is fresh and the sushi chefs are fun to talk to. Mike and Mike are great conversationalists and both make sushi very well. The wait staff is always friendly and tries their best to work to help the clients. I sit in my normal bar 5 seat and get a jug of water. The team there is very generous with my water. The sushi is made fresh with a smile. My favorite is the yellowtail roll with green onion and the scallop roll. I appreciate what the manager has done with both an AYCE and a regular menu. I can't wait to see what new things Maru has in sore for us. read more

Been there before , never had a problem. Waitresses been nice and friendly, went in today took my daughter for lunch and our waitress Courney gave us poor service. Ask for extra napkins never came back and never refill our drinks. Before we finish our meal, she clocked out and left without a word. We had the AYCE and we only got thru one round because it was taking them about 15 to 30 mins between plates (we timed it) the waitress tried to make up for it but she was even bad at filling our drinks, when I ordered a second drink it never came. When we asked how much longer she went to ask and returned with "we are really busy sorry" that did not help my hunger after two hours there we left with a 120$ bill and we only did one round! Me and my daughter come here at least once a week. We have been to many sushi places in the area but this is my daughters favorite. The staff is very friendly I've never been treated better than any place I've eaten sushi. If there's a way they will address you and let you know the time that it will take for you to get your food or drinks. The food is amazing the fish is always fresh and I've never had a bad experience ever. You have your choices of many sushi restaurants in the area but this is our favorite and we hope that many more people will come here to keep it running it's very good and we give them five stars read more
