Marufuku Ramen took over the old Skinny Fats location in Summerlin, and it's wonderful! This branch has some new appetizers compared to others (namely the otu-sagari bbq beef, which I recommend). The food comes out really quick, service is prompt and friendly. The tonkotsu broth is rich and creamy! Be warned that means there's lard in it, if that's not your thing. Food was very tasty. The tonkatsu broth is very strong and comes with a good amount of yummy homemade noodles. Great place to relax and eat after a long shopping session. Unfortunately, the service was not as good as the food. We were greeted by "are you ready to order" and not even a hi. So this was my first time at downtown summerlin. Strangely there are not many restaurants here that appealed to us. I was in Vegas to visit a friend who moved here a year ago. Now I won't called myself a ramen connoisseur, but I supposed I have eaten enough ramen, esp Tonkotsu to be exact, to know what's good and what's not. Most of us will know Tonkotsu ramen was a noodle soup dish originally hailed from Fukuoka (Hakata) and featured a creamy pork bone broth. Usual toppings would be marinated soft-boiled egg, chashu (braised pork belly) and black wood ear mushrooms. SERVICE 5/5 Staff were friendly and helpful. Our server asked if we liked him to explain the menu, we like sure, why not? AMBIANCE 5/5 We were here around 5-ish so it was not too packed. I do like the ambiance here. FOOD 4/5 We both ordered the same: Hakata Tonkotsu. When the bowls of tonkotsu came, my friend just dived into it. Hahahha.. I took my time and tried the broth first (5/5), then noodles (cooked perfectly 5/5) and the chashu (pork belly 4/5). Broth was rich, creamy and savory. Noodles were cooked perfectly. Yummy food with wonderful service! We were surprised at how easy it was to get a table close to noon on a Saturday. We were seated immediately and they offered to give our daughter a coloring activity. We got a whole set of kid's utensils, plate, bowl and water cup to use. If you buy a kid's menu item, there's a coin you can use to get a capsule toy at the front. The noodles had great texture and mouth feel, so fresh. The broth were so comforting and felt good. The marufuku buns were soft and delicious. We got only the scallop skewers and they were cooked just right. I would love to try more skewers next time. Servers were attentive and courteous. This restaurant is located on FY Summerlin it is relatively new. The establishment is roomy with indoor and outdoor seating it also has a bar area which makes it nice if you go there solo. The staff is friendly and gives you prompt and courteous attention. I opted for the special Ramen which has a daily limited amount (15) of servings. It was noodles with an egg and a chicken leg and thigh on the side. The Ramen was flavorful and abundant considering the size of the side dish. After movie late lunch. Closest ramen shop by the cinema at Summerlin Town center. Quite busy even at around 2pm. Service was quick. Interesting menu at reasonable prices. They also have rice bowls. Place is nice and clean. We were greeted and ushered to our seats right as we entered the doors. We both ordered the Hakata Tonkotsu ramen spicy and a side of tofu chasu. You have a choice of spice level upon ordering. Never heard of chasu tofu so we ordered one. Also takoyaki as appetizer. They have quite a selection of alcoholic beverages for a ramen shop. Serving was just right and ramen was flavorful tho served with a whole egg (unsliced) instead of a sliced half. So you end up chasing the egg in the bowl trying to slice it with chopsticks. The chasu tofu was a marinated firm tofu. It was ok. The takoyaki was served piping hot so be careful biting into it. Delicious! It was an ok ramen shop. We recently tried Marafuku in Summerlin and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm usually a miso ramen girl and pretty picky when it comes to ramen, so I wasn't sure how I'd feel about their tonkotsu. But after trying the Hakata tonkotsu ramen, it was surprisingly good. The broth was rich and flavorful without being too heavy, and the bowl was well-balanced overall. I also ordered edamame to start, which was a nice simple appetizer before the ramen. One thing I really enjoyed was the drink selection. This isn't just a ramen spot, they also offer cocktails, beer, and wine, which makes it feel a little more like a full dining experience. I ordered the strawberry yuzu lemonade cocktail, and it was so refreshing. Definitely a very girly drink light, citrusy, and easy to enjoy. The only thing I noticed is that it's a bit pricier compared to other ramen spots in Vegas. My edamame, Hakata tonkotsu ramen, and cocktail came out to about $40 before tip, which is on the higher side for ramen. We stopped by after the Lunar New Year parade. We were told that it would be a twenty minute wait time. (which is no issue). What happened was we got a message to seat four of us at the bar despite saying we prefer a table. It was then another twenty minute wait. When we did get in we enjoyed the dim lit dining area. They have sliding doors that open up to their outside section. We were sat inside. What saved it, was the food and service. Honestly it is some of the best ramen I have had so far in Las Vegas. Their karaage chicken and takoyaki were delicious too. Everyone enjoyed everything they got. I got the Spicy Hakata Tonkatsu DX. You can choose your spice level. Thankfully they had a crushed chili powder on the table, I had to add a couple spoonfuls. Chana made it worth it, and was on top of it. She was prompt and got our beverages squared away. We went to Marufuku Ramen, a new spot in Downtown Summerlin that took over Skinny Fats. On a Saturday afternoon we came in and it was pretty busy. We definitely had to check in first and got seated maybe 15 minutes later. The hostess at the front was nice and you could tell she was busy but handling things well. Once we got seated, the food came relatively quickly. We ordered a bowl of ramen and a chasu rice bowl. I love the indoor outdoor vibes, which is not too common in Las Vegas. We sat outside because it was such a nice, refreshing brisk day. I would definitely go back if I needed a different option in the Downtown Summerlin area. I did order it no spice because I did not want it spicy hot. Maybe the spice was a blend that included cayenne. Maybe mild level would have kicked up the broth flavor, but I did not want to take my chances that it would be too spicy hot for me. Spice levels are subjective. The karaage bowl was okay, but there wasn't much to it and a rather boring flavor profile. We were expecting a sauce, but it consisted mostly of fried chicken and rice. We've been fans of Marufuku since they opened at the Bend and became somewhat regular there. We came to the DTS location opening weekend since we live near by. OF course giving grace in getting their services ironed out. During our first visit, our ramen took a little while to come out which was expected. The chicken kaarage and rice took almost our entire meal for it to finally come out and be served. Ended up getting most of it to go. Now I'm here for our second visit and this time we ordered ahead through Uber eats for pick up around 6:15 PM came around 6:50 and it's not ready. I'm standing here and it's now 713 and there's another party ahead of me who is also still waiting for their food. I would've expected the turnaround to have been figured out by now, but I'm not sure what's going on. I guess the kitchen is backed up... due to 2 call outs last minute. I get that times are hard and good staff is hard to come by.. In the meantime the manager who we recognize from the Bend spoke to us and will speak with their GM about the situation. Received some beverages while we wait. We might have to just stick to their Bend location because I'm sure by now I would've driven there, been seated and served by now. *shrug* read more

I came here for the second time today with my son and niece because they were craving ramen. We ordered two tonkotsu ramen with thick noodles and one spicy miso ramen with thick noodles and shiitake mushrooms. Only two bowls came out, and the third ramen was completely missing. We waited a long time before anything else arrived. When the shiitake mushrooms were finally brought to our table, they were cold and had clearly been sitting on the counter for a while. We didn't touch them and returned them. When the third ramen finally arrived, the soup had spilled all over the plate. No one offered to clean it up or bring napkins. This was not only messy but also unsafe--if my son hadn't been careful, the hot soup could have easily spilled on him. The manager, who took our order, had already messed up our order earlier in the day, which made the situation even more frustrating. Our waiter, Brent, a tall Asian staff member, provided extremely poor service. He repeatedly ignored our requests for water and a fork. I asked multiple times, and although he kept saying "okay," he never brought them. He continued assisting other tables while we were left waiting, even when I tried to get his attention directly. With two hungry kids at the table, this was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable. The manager also stated that a discount would be provided due to the long wait and service issues, but no discount was applied. Overall, this experience was unprofessional and unacceptable. Between the missing food, long wait, cold items, unsafe presentation, and poor service, we will not be returning. read more

Today we came here after church service, beautiful decor, spacious table, great ambience. We have been wanting to try this place and we've always seen this place busy especially during winter time. We finally got to try today. Let's talk about the staff from our first walk-in until we were seated all the staff are very friendly, attentive, and very kind most especially our server. He is very known of the menu and would answer every question we've had since it was our first time so we ordered a Kids meal that consisted of a chicken Ramen and a plate with chicken, karaage, corn and edamame french fries and the lychee jelly. I thought that was a great deal. We ordered us an adult two separate Ramen one is pork cashi and one is chicken. They both were delicious. The noodles the thin noodles were so delicious and the bowl is packed with a full boiled egg, green onions, corn, and my order DX came with a leg of a chicken. The leg of a chicken reminded me of a pecking duck of the sauce and it was deliciously cooked. We enjoyed every bite of it. We also tried an order of their bowel. You should try that, and a Wagyu skewer perfectly marinated and cooked. We ended our meal with some good Mikan juice which was recommended by our server. Our food arrived in order in time and every food that came to our table was perfectly satisfying. We told ourselves it's our new spot, affordable, lots of parking, good service, perfect location, and most of all amazing delicious food, and the variety in the menu. Visited this place today because a friend of mine posted a Ramen bowl that looked absolutely amazing! Unfortunately, my bowl looked nothing like hers. Was nothing like. Upside, they make their own noodles and those were amazing! Downside, their gyoza. Seems like nobody in this entire city makes their gyozas in house and this place was not an exception to that. Ordered some chicken skewers, which coincidentally with every other place in town, were made with dark meat. But OK. The atmosphere and restaurant vibe, made me feel like I was out of Las Vegas so I was thankful for that. Kind of a San Diego Beach vibe, so kudos. Go experience it for yourself! I only wish I had thought to have chashu pork added to my dish so I could know if it was as good as the broth! My husband has the Chicken Paitan and I had the Spicy Tantan Men-both broths were delicious, though I preferred the noodles in my dish best. We also ordered a couple of chicken skewers and takoyaki. The chicken skewers were delicious, takoyaki was just ok-but it was our first time to try it so I have nothing else to judge it by/often dislike seafood. I've first discovered Marufuku in Oakland, regularly ate at the South Summerlin location, and now frequent the DTS location as it's close to home. The Chicken Paitan DX is a great value, the chicken leg/thigh delicious every time. My mother's Japanese and grew up in Hakata, the purveyors of tonkotsu ramen and hakata-style thin noodles. They now have bento boxes as well, which is a great deal that comes with a mini-tonkotsu ramen. It's a ritual for me to have a masu (wooden box) pour of their sake selection, which is a good deal at $9-15 each. This is my wife and daughters' favorite spot nearby as well. First time dining in on a mid afternoon Monday. We found our new favorite ramen spot. Everything was so flavorful. We started with the tempura Brussel Sprouts with matcha salt. The server brought out his favorite sauce with it and it was YUMMY! Our ramen was amazing, when I bit into the egg, I wasn't expecting a jammy runny egg , so that was such a delightful surprise.
