I wore them so much that the rubber soles began peeling away only a few years into owning them, and I've kept them in my shoe closet for maybe about 9 years since. I finally decided to look into getting them repaired. Michael had done such a wonderful job with replacing my worn-out nomasei moccasin soles, that I came back to see if he could revive my sandals. The new soles he put on have more traction and are much better quality than the original soles, and I'm thrilled to that my shoes that I'm quite sentimental about can be worn again. Thanks Michael!

I brought clogs in to be re-soled. thought it was a straightforward job. He did not attempt to…read morematch the color of the original soles at all, made them 1/2 inch thicker which completely changed the look of the shoe, cut the edges of the new soles so poorly so that there are still loose pieces of rubber coming out AND to top it off whatever he did to remove the old soles and attach new ones has left cuts, scrapes and scuffs on the wood, as well as glue residue on the grommets. Additionally, he opted to polish the shoe (didn't ask for that) and did such a sloppy job that there is polish all over the wood. All I wanted was new soles for my shoes and he managed to ruin them. Highly advise you go elsewhere, terrible craftsmanship and cost me $50

He fixed the straps on both sides but the stitching looks like shit. "No one" is going to examine my shoes closely, but I still paid money for a shoe "expert" to repair them. The leather soles were cracked on both shoes, cracked beyond repair. I thought he should just toss them (or chuck them - see what I did there). But...Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, so.... $45 bucks later and the chukka boots were brought back from the dead! This little wonder of a shop reconstructed them and they now have a whole new life. They are basically rebuilt! More Notes: -Do NOT loose your ticket (take a photo of it the second you get it). -Don't be in a hurry to get your shoes back. -Give it a couple weeks.

So. He was stand offish at first, but I was friendly and polite and he cracked a smile quickly. My boots were ready on time, and the repair was very well done, for $40.
