Let me start by saying we were a group of 8 staying at Wildwood Crest. We went to Marcus Diner for an early dinner and were seated immediately upon entry. The tables were set up perfectly following CDC regulations. Everyone was socially distanced and wearing masks. We all ordered separate meals and everyone stated how fresh and delicious everything tasted! I ordered a Greek salad and it was probably the best Greek salad I've had with gyro meat! It was served with a thick slice of feta cheese! Yums, so delicious!!!! I can't remember our waitress's name but she was very kind and patient taking all the girls orders! A solid breakfast option when you're down the beach. The food is standard diner fare - think pancakes, bacon, eggs, etc. - in huge portions and with incredibly quick service. We had a large group dine here and without exception, everyone had a bad meal. Well, maybe except the salad. Most were edible but bland and lacking flavor. A few were inedible. Great little diner, we came for dinner during a trip to the Jersey Shore. The meatloaf was about the best we'd ever tasted. Husband said the chicken parm was just okay, not the best dish on their menu, but it tasted fine and was a big portion. I had the crab cake and it was delicious. Daughter got the chocolate chip pancake which arrived Mickey Mouse shaped. Great service. Our kids liked the claw machines that they could play on while we waited to be seated. Great spot in Wildwood. Most of the restaurants close early because this is a smaller town but this place had good hours. During our vacation here (last year) we came to Marvis TWICE (for breakfast and lunch) their food was as delicious as it looks (and sounds)! Staff was friendly and welcoming. And the restaurant in general had a really relaxing vibe to it. Made me feel like I was in a 90's summer vacation with the family... the type we're you don't check your phone but enjoy the food and the people around you. If we're ever back here we'll definitely stop here to eat again. read more

Great diner with wonderful quick service. The breakfast here was delicious and will keep you full all day long! We were a large party and arrived around 9am and did not have to wait too long but the later morning crowd had a wait so be sure to arrive early! Expect to wait if you're going for breakfast, especially on the weekends. But man, is it worth it! They have indoor and outdoor seating and have a huge selection on their menu. Breakfast is served all day. Not to mention, their dinner options sounded pretty darn good. We went for breakfast though. I ordered the Marvis Heaven which came out in an actual frying pan - it was the BEST breakfast skillet I've ever had. It was an amazing blend of flavors, fresh ingredients and their delicious hollandaise sauce. In spite of the wait to get in, our food came out very quickly and we had a great server. It was Labor Day weekend and everywhere else was super packed. So we came across this place. The inside was a little chilly so we decided to sit outside. For an app we got the volcano shrimp which was a good size for the two of us. For the main. I got the creamed chipped beef - ugh amazing. I'd been craving it so I'm glad the had that on the menu. Went here one of the first nights of my wildwood trip! is a small place, so an suggestion would be to get there early, especially if there is a large party of people. Got there on time just as the place got busy. Is a cute old fashioned diner where you can see the kitchen! it's cool! Service was great. I ordered their large chocolate milkshake and it was so good! For food, they have lots of options: of course breakfast all day, they also have wraps, salads and dinners. i went with a dinner, which was the roast turkey. So many times people write bad reviews. I usually only take to yelp when something was very wrong or really awesome!!! In this case I want to comment on something I witnessed yesterday 7/8/24 at the Marvis Diner on Rio Grande and Pacific. While we were dining we saw man making balloon art. He was kind and went around to the tables near us. Families were entertained and he was a hit with the kids. The table next to us had an older teen who was deaf. When he realized she was he walked over to her and started conversing in sign language! Her family was so happy. She immediately perked up and had a smile that lit up the room. He was so sweet to her. We love the diner, the food and service is always great, I wanted to share this in hopes someone at the diner sees this. Again, sometimes these little things go un-noticed. Went to Wildwood for our 4th annual shore vacation! We stayed in a condo right down the block and we were excited to try Marvis. We went for dinner (5 of us), and ordered meatloaf, turkey dinner, and chicken parm. The food was AWFUL. The chicken parm was burnt and the noodles were soggy (my baby sister didn't eat, and the waitress offered her French fries), the sauce was canned for sure and the chicken was gross. The meatloaf was a bad version of a banquet meal, the veggies were canned, the turkey dinner was cold cuts with premade disgusting stuffing and gravy, and each entree was around $20. I have been a waitress my entire life and I love to spend money on going out and having fun on vacation! I never complain or expect perfection/free food. But the customer service and service were atrocious. I told the manager about the chicken parm situation to which she said, "well we gave you free fries" She made a huge scene and finally removed the dinner from the check. Please avoid this place at all costs. I paid $98 for horrible, canned, frozen food. It is a tourist trap, unprofessional, and overpriced. Go to WaWa or Mcdonalds. Also, notice they don't respond to these reviews... says something huh? read more

Very nice diner in the center of town-where at first i thought was expensive until i got my meal. TURKEY DINNER. ALL HOME MADE. Real turkey. Real mashed potatoes. Real soup. The summer veggies were stir fried in quality garlic and olive oil. Very good meal that i had to box up. Got 2 small additional meals out of these huge portions Michaela was my excellent,pleasant server . Plan on return visits. September 11 2014. Outdoors totally empty and she wants to seat me out in the walkway where everyone walks by. ( see my pics if empty patio) When i ask why she Tells me they never know when a bus might come in. 2 separate couples come in 1 minute after me and shes asks them " would you like to sit here or near the shade tree?" We went to this diner twice during our stay in the area. One on a very hot day for lunch because the Chinese place we checked our had take out only and other for breakfast on a rainy morning. They had open yet protective seating in the rain. The meals tasted better than an average diner and they had many options. As you can see in the photos, the portions were big. Overall, nice place if you like diner style food, but personally I'd prefer more specialty food. read more

This was my first time hear on a Saturday morning for breakfast!!! It was packed from the inside out. But was seated with in 5 min. Service was great, the food was good. I got waffle with bananas and strawberries enjoyed every bit of it. The coffee is you're every day Diner coffee. I sat outside and was so nice. The only thing that botherd me was they do not have a kids menu. How could you have a business and not have a kids menu for breakfast. Everyone or most bring there kids down for vacation. They make u pay full price for menu item. And we all know kids don't have big stomachs to eat that all. So to throw Money away for adult Size meal because the Diner can't have kids menu is kind da crazy. Will I ever come back. Probably not. The food was good. This diner has been a staple during our vacations down in Wildwood. The food was delicious and served quickly. The numerous meals have been substantial, in particular their Breakfast Skillets can easily serve 3 persons. We also look forward to hearing their specials and the one the rings the loudest was their Pork Belly Sandwich. Which you'll need perfect timing for.
