They did a good job at replacing a broken hard drive on my Macbook Pro. So far so good. The reason why I'm not giving them 5 stars is because they are pricier than others and their turnaround time isn't the best. It took like 4 business days (plus the weekend) for them to diagnose what was even wrong with the computer. Then when it came time to fix it, they quoted me a certain price for the hard drive, which I was able to find for almost half the price at Fry's (Although I suppose all shops have this markup). All in all, I went to them because they had high reviews and they were close to my job and they really did do a good job. If you're in a time & money crunch, however, I would suggest researching other places. read more

I'd been having problems with the "Home" button on my poor old iPhone 4. Went in to Tech Center and they explained that it could be something simple or it could involve replacing the button and that would cost up to $79. For the kind of work they do that didn't seem unreasonable to me at all. BUT then they explained that there was a native app that allowed me to place a home button on the touch screen. THAT was free advice that presented me with a perfect workaround making my phone more functional and totally solved my problem. These guys are the best. read more

They fucked up my laptop! The only thing that was wrong with it was a small piece of my charger. All they did that was semi right was plug it into their generic charger to see that the battery worked. But before they did that, they took the back of the computer off, and put it back wrong, so that the only thing holding the monitor onto the laptop was a thin wire and left it like that. They completely disconnected the hinges that connected the monitor to the laptop base. Even worse, they stripped the screws so I couldn't reattach it myself. Before bringing jt in, the case was a little creaky but completely functional. And in the end they still charged me 40 bucks! read more

Dan. Such a good guy. I have this incredible urge to feed him, I know he works so hard. I know this from experience! Idiot, idiot, idiot that I am, did a hard shut down during updates on my Surface because I, was too impatient to wait which left me with an inoperable computer. Couldn't get past to a boot up/repair as instructed. Anyway, Dan saved it. But he did more that that. He searched the problem thoroughly including links to such in my emailed bill to both learn more and contact Microsoft cuz its an existing problem on their end. He called Microsoft and spoke with tech. You know that was a long wait time. He just did everything one could possibly do in an effort to make sure he got back my computer in working order. Which, hello compassion., We all freak out when our digital lives are wiped. I did. He even asked what was most important to me in recovery (it had to be wiped) and dropped my desktop files back on at no extra charge even though data recovery was a separate service. Seth was super friendly and had time for me to explain what the issue was with my Mac laptop on the phone, and after he called me back after a couple of days of having it in the shop and had fixed my corrupt file issue simply and easily rolling the diagnosis time fee of $50 into the final cost which wasn't much more than that. Quick, friendly and effective! So far so good. When I returned to pick it up I realised I had forgotten to point him toward another repair that needed doing on the same computer and so asked him about my track pad which was I little wonky. He spent 15 minutes looking at it while I was there, but not being able to get it exactly right he then kept it over night to open it up and fix it properly. Not only did he fix it but he found and added missing screws to the chassis and put on a missing rubber foot pad too.... and charged me only $6.00 more!!!! But sometimes it's the things that have nothing to do with you or your purchase or repair that really make the difference. While waiting I watched Seth deal with a salty old computer geek insisting Seth was wrong on a hypothetical repair with no proof. Seth was nothing but kind and accommodating - never flustered or rude for a moment. A real pro! Needless to say I HIGHLY recommend him and will be going back if I need help with my computer again.
