I manage a building at Centrelake in Ontario and MarWest Commercial is the property management company for the Owners Association. I've worked with Nicole Ertel for years. With today's staffing issues, I assume MarWest must be doing something right to keep such a consistently responsive and effective real estate professional on their team. Communication is key, and Nicole communicates proactively any time events will affect owners and tenants, such as tree-trimming or parking lot repair. She also responds promptly when we have a common area issue, like a valve leak or even just a question. I don't remember a single instance where I've had to send her a follow up email, although I confess she's had to send me a few. And when I say she responds promptly, I don't just mean with words. I remember when I first started working with Nicole, being shocked to see a contractor come to fix a drain issue within hours of my email to her. I'm used to that sort of miracle now. :) In a time where customer service seems to have fallen by the wayside and we all know the pain of having to hound service providers to do what they say they will do, Nicole Ertel is a standout. One of the best property management companies around. Their team of property managers are responsive. A unit had flooded due to fire sprinklers going off, and it didn't take long before one of the managers came out, and helped remove the water from the unit. I don't know of any other company that would come out and take off their shoes and help take out the water with the owner. read more
