We go to here a lot, probably the best breakfast/lunch place in town. We got seated really quickly, and we ordered a bacon cheeseburger and a veggie wrap. The wait time is kind of random, some times we get food in 15 mins, other times 45 mins. The food tastes amazing and I will definitely come back soon. It's weird how different two restaurants can be despite being owned and run by the same people. It's the same 50's style diner and decor as the Derry location, but is immeasurably better in terms of wait time, service and most of all, food quality, The Derry location has failed so many times in the past that I stopped going years ago and despite being a minute drive away from it, I'd skip Derry and head here anytime. read more

Maryann's in Windham is at a great location, plenty of parking. The staff is always friendly. Kid-friendly atmosphere. It does get very busy on the weekends but we tend to go between 7 and 8am which is perfect for the 2 kids! Oh and the food is awesome, always order the same thing and tastes the same every time. Came with a friend on a Friday around 1p. We have eaten here before for breakfast and wanted to try lunch this time. Service was very slow today because it was a half-day school with lots of kids in the restaurant. We decided to share an order of onion rings, the chicken quesadilla special and a spinach and strawberry salad with marinated steak tips. It took a while for order to arrive and the chicken quesadilla with a side of cole slaw and spinach salad came out first followed by the onion rings. The onion rings were heavily battered and very salty, the chicken quesadilla came in 4 wedges and there was only a slither of chicken in each of the wedges. The marinated steak tips were tender and cooked perfectly, no complaints about the salad. Total bill including tip: $37 but we had a $25 groupon. We had a better experience last time with breakfast vs lunch. Would come again for breakfast but probably not lunch. read more

Tried Maryann's for the first time today. We had heard to get there early to avoid the wait but even at 8:30 am on a Sunday morning there was a 20-minute wait for a table. Good news is that our waiter was personable and efficient , no problem getting waters and extra napkins when we requested them. The food came quick and our kids didn't have to have a meltdown waiting for their chocolate chip pancakes. So while the food came quickly it really wasn't anything to write home about, sadly. I had asked for well-done bacon and it wasn't and the coffee was pretty undrinkable, but a waitress came around offering refills frequently. The kids enjoyed their pancakes and the check came without delay, so all in all a decent neighborhood breakfast option. Just don't plan on going there if you're in a hurry, because long wait times are the norm here. read more

MaryAnn's Part Deux is just as good as the Derry location. The menu is the same, and some of the great staff now work in the Windham location. To the reviewer who was negative about the hollandaise sauce, all I can say is you must be used to the nasty package stuff that everyone else around serves and haven't got a clue when it comes to good, "real" hollandaise sauce. The real hollandaise sauce is the primary reason I go to MaryAnn's as they are the only one around who makes it from scratch--not a jar and not a package. The food was a little slow in coming, but I am giving that a pass as it was only day two of the opening, the restaurant was jam-packed, and I am sure that the staff was still getting up to speed with the traffic flow. All in all it was the same, consistent great experience that is expected from the Derry location. read more

First let me tell you i am one picky bit....um, i mean...chick...when it comes to breakfast. i want good, hearty, unhealthy and unique. Had no idea this place was here in the middle of no where. Went early on a sat morn and it was on the slow side. by the time we left there was a line forming. I was glad to see that and hope they do well. so... about the food. I am currently trying to stick to a routine with my morning nosh and asked if they could put some avocados on my egg whites. This usually cant be done but I was pleasantly surprised when my " high maintenance customer" order came out. I was also happy when I saw the bill and it was only $5.75. Now, I must say, my mouth was drooling over everyone elses breakfast.(and I sooooo ate off the fams plates) , cinnamon raisin texas french toast etc. the home fries were ok no onions but great seasoning ( I like onions with it, adds more depth) food wise I was happy. The décor and cleanliness was phenomenal, no sticky greasy patches anywhere and the bathroom was ok. not good nor bad. cute 50's hand painted artwork in there 2 stalls. oh, lol, the toilet paper was really good too! not that 1 ply see though stuff. Came here with wife on a saturday. My family and I have been to the Derry one many times. Made the ride over to check out the place. I have to say our food was excellent!! I got a Ham and cheese omelet and my wife a florentine Benedict. Wish I could give this place a better rating. The service was terrible. Just to get extra napkins was a process. The waitresses were to busy talking amongst themseleves and huddling around each other to notice me. Too bad. Wonderful hot and delicious food. Slow and carless waitstaff. read more

I hate writing mediocre reviews but in this case, mediocre it was. The wait for seating wasn't too bad...10-15 minutes and the host was on top of it. We were seated and asked if we wanted coffee..a definite yes. Well, a full 10 minutes later the coffee came and I must say it was quite weak. After another full 5 minutes our order was taken. I happened to look at the clock at that time and it was 10:30. I ordered a Monte Cristo which has French toast for the bread and my partner had 1 egg and hash and toast. At 11:05 our breakfast appeared without its lateness being acknowledged at any point. The Monte Cristo bread looked barely toasted and certainly didn't taste as if it had been at all soaked in egg which a Monte Cristo is (and fried in its entirety.) It took us 15 minutes to eat and then more waiting for the check. We didn't want to wait again for her to come back for the money so we asked about paying up front which we were not allowed to do. So, wait again. All in all, we came a little after 10 and by the time we were in the car it was 11:40. Needless to say, I accomplished very little that morning. read more

Dined there on Wednesday the 13th. Ordered a hash and cheese omelet. Received a ham and cheese omelet. I like that too so I began to eat it. Our waitress promptly realized I did not receive what I had ordered. I told her no worries I like this just as much. She replied that I should get what I ordered, proceeded to have the kitchen make my original order and returned with a to go box for the uneaten portion of the incorrect order. We live in Windham and go to MaryAnn's about every two weeks. The food is ok but it's convenient. However, within the last 6 months, the quality of service, food and cleanliness has really gone way downhill. Yesterday we were there at 11:30, and ordered scrambled eggs and a patty melt. It took the server 10 minutes to come and give us menus and another 5 minutes to get coffee and hot tea. Then it took us another 25 minutes to receive our meal; our server never came over to check on us, and finally when I gestured for her to come over , she said the kitchen was "slammed" and our order would be a few more minutes. The restaurant wasn't even half full. The food came out cold, the server never came back to apologize or offer us anything else, the place was filthy, and never any offer to adjust our bill because of the wait. It's been like this for the last 6 months or more. Warning: don't go there and if you do, prepare to wait and look at the cleanliness of the floors and tables while you wait. read more

My family and I have gone to Maryann's for years, it's always been the number one breakfast choice and we've never had any disappointments. My review is actually about the new location in Salem, and before I rant off I understand they did just open and it takes some time for a business to kick off and get in the gist of things. Wait staff was polite for the most part, but my friend and I decided to grab a late breakfast before starting our errands. We arrived at Maryann's at 1230 the wait for a table was no trouble but the wait on the food was unbelievable. The food was cold the butter on our carbs wasn't even melted, it sat there cold thick and heavy. My friends order was wrong and the server who started off our service made it a point to return to the table to clarify with her what the combo she order had after my friend explained to her a few times what exactly she did want when she ordered her meal. I didn't finish my food and it was clear something was wrong with it the server mention twice she would let he manager know and being a new open a manager never stopped by the table. My friend and I left at 2:00, it took an hour and a half for breakfast, one of the quickest meals, overall service was slow and food was cold it wasn't the best experience which was a big disappointment read more
