FINALLY!!! I have been searching for good local Indian cuisine since I moved to Richardson and have tried nearly everyone. This place has completely met the mark. Everything pictured was only $38!!!! That is the cheapest I have found, with the best flavor as well. I'd highly recommend giving masala twist a try.

I ordered from DoorDash and everything was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious! The Arcot (lamb) Biryani was so flavorful and had plenty of huge hunks of tender lamb throughout. The Onion Kulcha was delicious and a large portion. Will order again very soon!

Awesome service! We went for dinner on a Friday night, loved it! Nikitha, their wonderful staff (look her up)mentioned that they have an awesome Sunday buffet and so we did! This place is a gem bu itself, authentic, halala and vegetarian friendly. We got to talk to the friendly owner, Sabu and asked us how we found the place. #yelpgoodfind Let's support this place and dont forget their chai

Takeout Queen here again! So I'll start by saying I only chose this place because my typical Indian food spot is closed on Wednesday. I walked and no one was standing at the host stand. But there's a sign to press a button if unattended. I did and someone almost immediately came out with my order. Awesome! Ok but the food. I could immediately tell the difference in quality. I ordered the Saag Paneer (I'm borderline vegetarian so take that as you will however you define it) with Rice and heated up naan I had at home. The saag was fine but the paneer was overcooked I suppose. It was rubbery and unpleasant to chew. The rice was actually pretty delicious. Overall I wouldn't go back because paneer is pretty much the only thing I eat.

I ordered vegetable samosas this time with paneer butter masala again. The samosas were pretty good. I requested one of the butter masalas to be extra spicy and this either only comes mild or they missed the request. Both were the same and not spicy. Still tasty, though.

Fresh made samosas. Crispy and warm on the inside.

It was raining today so I decided Indian was going to be the perfect choice! :) I had not been here before but it will not be the last. 5 star all the way from welcoming, service, made to order food and cleanliness. Emma was so nice and helpful. I really appreciated her suggestions and service. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala with Rice and Samosas. All delicious. Must try!!!

Butter Masala (Chicken), Rice, Mix Veg Pakora

Masala Twist comes to my job every week to sell food. Since I've been working from home, I had a craving and decided to make a trip to the restaurant. I got the Mix Veg Pakora and Butter Masala Chicken. I was a little disappointed by the Pakora. That's my fault though. I thought it was going to be vegetable fritter held together with ground chickpeas. Either way, it was pretty good. There was fried onions and green peppers. It had a great flavor but I was definitely looking for a tamarind or green sauce to help cleanse my palate and make it feel a little lighter. It wasn't spicy at all in case you were wondering. I ordered it Medium. The real reason I came was for the Butter Chicken. I got a pretty decent sized portion. Their butter chicken is different though, in a good way. They use different cuts of chicken. Other restaurants use cubes of maybe chicken breast and I don't really like the texture. Prices are comparable to other places but it was worth the drive to Richardson. Give it a try :)

Super place for a weekend buffet. Extensive menu options available both for veg and non vegetarian food items. Affords price. Waited for few minutes to be seated but that is because it was crowded and looked quite popular among the local Indian folks. Loved their appam! Mendhu vada, malai chicken, veg navratan korma, hyderabadi chicken gravy, veg fried rice were few of the items I loved. The chhole bhature, fried fish, paneer and okra dishes could have been better. The desserts were too sweet for my preference. Overall I will recommend this place.

Disappointing. The Masala dosa was quite soggy, the chutneys were not great and the taste was bland. The saag curry with paneer was very watery and had no flavor. Won't be returning unfortunately

    Chicken Vindaloo

Had a great dinner tonight at Masala Twist. The Garlic Naan was out of this world. The Vindaloo had the perfect amount of spice and tasted amazing. Overall was a great dinner and the best part was the friendly waitress Emma who helped with decisions on what to try.

Kerala King fish curry (bottom left), mango custard, paneer butter masala (top right), and parotta (top left).

First of all I like a new experience. So, I am glad we tried…read moreit out. I am going to start with the service. We sat in the bar area at a booth. The bartender has such a sunny and sweet demeanor. I am giving her a 6 out of five. My drink was the painkiller, I am giving that a five out of five. So wherever I go I order fried green tomatoes. Now I am conflicted. The green tomatoes were almost ripe. However, the seasoning, the breading, and the shrimp on top were seasoned to perfection. So altogether I will give a 2.5.I didn't order red fried tomatoes. I had the Haddock and Linguine. I don't have to have it again. The Haddock tasted burnt on the bottom. Now I know it could have been delicious because when I put it in the sauce with capers it tasted much better. I am giving the dish a 2. My partner had the oysters they said they have had better broiled oysters and gave them a 3. However, their main dish they give a 4.5. Total experience is an honest for me 3.8. I will round up and give them a four. Try it for yourself you may like it.
