What a pleasant surprise. I flew in from California to visit family and they kept saying they wanted to take me to MasFajitas. I resisted because really good Mexican food is next to non-existent in Texas. Tex-Mex is not the same. Anyway, I digress, I finally gave in and we all went for dinner. Due to my stubborness, I was determined not to order anything on the menu that was Tex or Mex. I ordered the mushroom bacon cheeseburger. Was I surprised and overjoyed when the burger came. It was one of the best damn burgers I have ever eaten, anywhere in the world! My brother-in-law got the catfish. Seriously? Catfish (in a not Mex plate)? Again, the best catfish I have had in a very long time. I can still taste the deliciousness. Mmmmm. Catfish Parlour, forget it....this is the place to get really good catfish! Mom got the chile rellano, it was also good. :) Sis got some kind of nachos combo thing that was pretty damn good too. Yes, I taste everyone's food. My wife and I went here expecting nothing more than your typical Tex-Mex, but I was pleasantly surprised. The menu had more choices than I expected and the prices were extremely reasonable - bordering on cheap! I had a dish that consisted of grilled chicken, shrimp, onions, and bell peppers. Now let me tell you: Most places you order a shrimp dish you'll be lucky to get a few in there, but this one was positively loaded with them! Not only that, but it tasted really good! My wife's dish was also very tasty. There are a ton of run-of-the-mill Tex-Mex places, but this one definitely stands out. Even though I live in Pflugerville, I think we will occasionally make the trip to Gtown to hit up Masfajitas. I give it 5 stars not because it's gourmet food necessarily, but because it was good and the value was simply outstanding. read more

Why Does Yelp say you can place an order through this site if the restaurant doesn't except orders through yelp? The manger was extremely rude when I went to pick up my food that I ordered through this site. I was placing my order AGAIN with the bartender who was very helpful when the manager came out saying "it wasn't there fault, they have NOTHING to do with yelp or grub hub" in a rude tone I told him that I wasnt upset or blaming them, I just wanted to place my order but because of His RUDE tone I decided to leave. I like that there's still room between tables but the food was also great today! Roadkill, stuffed avocado, great salsa with plenty of chips and corn tortillas. But our waitress Elizabeth was on top of everything, including making those lefties in the family room to spread, the gentleman helping serve our plates with the wonderful sense of humor and the attendant making sure the bathroom was well stocked. Really fast seating and good food. We had the Pollo and Shrimp Loco and the Monterrey Chicken, both were flavored well and huge portions! Monterrey Chicken has WAY too much green bell pepper, but other than that, was delicious. Service was good and we will be back. read more

It's probably counter-intuitive to start a good review with a complaint, but we ordered a mixed order of fajitas for pickup during the COVID19 lockdown. Generally, we're very accommodating of businesses trying to stay afloat during this time, but what we ordered versus what we received was shameful. We ordered mixed fajitas to go with two extra orders of tortillas. When we got the order home, we had four strips of beef, eight strips of chicken and an huge pile of onions, and prepaid nearly $40 for that. I immediately called, ready for bear so to speak. The manager, Gus, took my call and not only immediately apologized, he asked how he could make it right. It was very refreshing to not have someone try to argue or rationalize poor service or an honest mistake. I asked for the missing parts of the order to be fulfilled, and he readily agreed, and also to my surprise, he added a slice of tres leches cake to make up for the inconvenience. The food was very good, and Gus handled my concerns extremely well. Not everything will always go correctly, but as long as Gus is overseeing the operation, I'm happy to be a returning customer. read more

Amazing food. We are new to the area and have been searching for our go to Mexican restaurant. We have found it!! Margaritas were strong and delicious. We started with queso blanco which was stellar. We then had the chimichanga and the steak enchiladas. Both were amazing! The chimichanga was probably the best I've ever had, which is saying a lot because I order that everywhere I go. The atmosphere was also great. Very cool bar area with multiple televisions. Our waiter was extremely prompt, friendly and answered all the questions we had! Highly recommend this place!!! read more

I would not recommend Masfajitas for catering services. They do not have any menu or other information about their service that they can give you. They want you to come up with everything you want done without any indication of what is available or the prices. They lost a possible contract for catering an event with 100 guests. read more

This was a huge disappointment in 3 ways ways. #1 - I can't understand why every Tex-Mex restaurant paints their walls with the multicolor clearance bin from Home Depot. Grab one can of red one of yellow one of blue and paint every wall randomly. #2 - Service can make or break a restaurant and when the person taking your order doesn't want to be at work it's hard to feel good about how the meal will progress. #3 - Most importantly the food. Chewy fajitas (and this is what the restaurant is named after?!) bland salsa and gummy tortillas. The service at this restaurant is hit or miss. There are times when we come and we are blown away. Other times, we would be better off going elsewhere. The food is (mostly) delicious, but again hit or miss. It's never the same. The location is great, so PLEASE GET CONSISTENTLY BETTER!!! Updated: We were contacted by the management team after a very bad experience, so we went in again. The entire experience (including the food) was night and day difference. If my experiences were like that every time, I would probably go there multiple times a week. The management truly cared about our concerns, and I am looking forward to going back now. We've eaten here several times since they opened - hoping it will improve. Sadly it just hasn't. We like to support local. The spinach/mushroom enchiladas weren't edible. The tortilla was gummy and the filling was tepid (food not hot continues to be a problem). I had to send the plate back. They made it "right" and took it off our ticket - but basically I didn't have lunch (except for some chips and cold salsa -- and I had a few of the black beans & rice). If I could give this place zero star's I would. The food was so bland and the salsa was horrible, runny and the chips were god awful, burnt and stale. Service here is a joke. I had to get up and look for our waiter and I didn't find him instead I found an older gentleman too help me out and the table next too us. While waiting our waiter forgot about the table next to us and giving them there chips and salsa that he had left on a tray next to us so I gave them their chips and salsa since all of our tables were being forgotten. I contacted Mas Fajitas on their Facebook page to plan my daughters graduation luncheon. I received a quick and informative response from Gus about the options available as far as pricing and seating availability. I then spoke with Gus on the phone and in person when we visited ourselves for the 1st time a few days later. Fast forward to day of event... Service was excellent. We had 2 different waitresses and another gentleman who popped in periodically to make sure everything was going well. The food was ready and warm when we arrived. We went with the chicken and beef taco catering option. Would strongly recommend it! We were able to decorate the tables to accommodate our theme too!! Overall excellent experience. I had an awesome experience with MasFajitas over the weekend. I placed a large order for a Birthday party. Mitch called me Saturday afternoon to confirm. I picked up my order as planned on Saturday evening. Everything was ready to go, packed nicely, and piping hot. They quickly checked me out and carried the food to my car. The fajitas were excellent, and all of the sides and toppings were great too! My guests really enjoyed the food. I will definitely think of ordering again for my next get together. read more

Probably my favorite Mexican food in Georgetown! (Yes- even over the famous Dos Salsas). Service is friendly, management is amazing, and prices are on point. I'm rather shocked to see some of the reviews! Although to be fair, I will admit that I do believe they had trouble with waitstaff several months ago. But let's be honest folks, every restaurant has good and bad waitstaff from time to time. Sometimes you have to go through the bad to get to the best! I believe we had one issue with the queso being a little too runny ONE time. We immediately brought it to the attention of our waitress, who then turned it over to management. It was handled immediately. (If people would simply bring issues to the attention of their waiter or waitress or even management, it would get handled promptly. And yes, I'm quite sure of that because no manager or owner in their right minds would want the business to go downhill) Back to review: if you have been and had a bad experience, I urge you to go back and give it another chance!! This time, try out the fajita fried steak or chicken dinner. Wash it down with their amazing Mexican painkiller (YUM) or even a margarita. Then top it off with the tres leche cake!(even if you have to box it up and take it home- that cake is well worth it!!) You will go home with a full and happy belly, guaranteed! If you're looking for some great entertainment- check out their karaoke! Let loose, dance a little, sing a lot, and also be in awe with a little girl that sings there with a set of lungs like Selena! I tried to overlook that and the food came out and we noticed the glass had cheese down one side that had not be cleaned. I suspect their dishwasher is malfunctioning. I've been in Georgetown a little over 16 years and seen a few different restaurants try and make a go at this location. I think Mas Fajitas might be sticking around! The waters stayed full, chips and salsa kept coming, they accommodated my "no meat and dairy" order with a smile, and everything came out hot and yummy. The cherry on top: my son left his wallet full of cash on the table, and the manager came to return it right as I was backing out of my parking spot. Very impressed all the way around! read more
