Been to this place a few times and have always been happy with the friendly staff, the avocado chicken enchiladas are my favorite and the portion sizes are good so I always have enough to take home. Today two friends of mine and I came for a late lunch and was served by Chris who absolutely blew us away. My friend wanted to modify his order a bit and Chris breezed through it no problem. He was also very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and then some. He chatted with us a bit and made some good conversation which is always appreciated! Not sure what has happened to this place. It seems to be going downhill. The queso was so thick we couldn't eat and the sopapillas were basically small pieces of gummy tortilla fried. Wife and I took some visiting family to Mas Fajitas on Williams, based on the reviews and the number of cars normally seen in the parking lot. For us, on this particular night at least, this was a big mistake. Mas Fajitas is running a fajita promotion celebrating their 20th anniversary. We ordered two 'fajitas for 2' platters. Considering the name of the restaurant, and the fact that they are promoting fajitas, it took an long time for the food to show up at the table. What did show up was not good at all. The chicken was quite rubbery, and the beef was underseasoned with only the slightest hint of a beef fajita typical of central Texas. (In fairness, the beef was tender.) For some reason cheese is an extra dollar. We ordered charro beans but half of the beans that were actually delivered were refried. No matter about the beans, though, because they too were not very good. When I expressed my lack of enthusiasm for the meal, the staff was shocked. After a couple levels of management showed up at the table, my bill was reduced by about half. But I would have much preferred a good meal, delivered correctly, and enjoyed with my family. Several excuses were offered along with the apologies - the 'busy' excuse was belied by the fact that only about half the tables were occupied (7 PM). Note to management - offer a sincere apology for a botched job, but don't play the blame game. Instead, trust that most folks understand that things happen. The salsa was ok. First time here and with all the hype we really expected more. Greeted at door. And service was adequate. Now for the food. Our food was served warm not hot. Chips were out of a bag and rice and beans were not homemade. Noticed from other tables that tortillas are not made in house either. Probably will give them one more visit as we realize it might have been a off day read more

Nothing special. The house margarita was good and relatively cheap but got very sweet as I drank it more. We ordered queso and I'm pretty sure they just put the bowl in the microwave and gave it to us with a spoon in it. Love the Grilled Catfish! I love this Mexican eatery in Georgetown. Close to home and do not have to worry about having a delicious refreshing Top Shelf Margarita and then driving a long way on I35. I am typically a Steak Fajitas lover but on my last couple of trips I discovered the grilled Catfish. It is delicious! Love this place. We eat here at least once a week. The food is always fresh, and tasty. We have tried many things on the menu and never been disappointed. Even at the busiest of times the wait staff are always attentive and pleasant. When you bring guests you always want to make sure it measures up. I had this at one star, and after going again I changed to 2, if only because my wife really likes the chips and salsa and therefore I gave it a second chance.. My second visit, at the request of my wife for to go mexican, again had the bartender overcharge me for takeout and short change me on the food I got. The portions here are large but the food is bland. This would be best for people who like Mexican food but don't like a lot of spice. Our breakfast skillet came with sliced white bread that was barely even toasted- we should have asked for tortillas instead. We eat here fairly often because the restaurant game in Georgetown is so weak. The thing that is the most annoying is how long it takes to get drinks! It can take up to 15 minutes to get drinks. This is a consistent problem. You may have eaten your way through an entire basket of chips and salsa without anything to drink. They NEVER bring water while waiting on bar drinks, it all comes at the same time...late. The service is unpredictable and the food is average. About what you can expect around here. read more

We live in Georgetown and enjoy eating here. Their chips are hot and crisp, and the hot sauce is the best I've ever eaten, spicy but not so hot that you can't enjoy it. You must try the charro beans, you will come back for these alone. The service is always exceptional and the drinks are tasty too. Try their $2.99 margaritas on Wed., and $1.00 tacos w fresh tomatoes and lettuce on them on Taco Tuesday. So happy to have a great Mexican food place on Williams so close to us. read more

just now Went in to Masfajitas for the fifth time, food is good and the bar is always clean with attentive staff (that's where the two stars are coming from). This review is actually negative due to the manager, I was later told his name was Michael, who I watched berate a young waitress who appeared to be learning. He loudly continued to refer to her as an "amateur", a description I heard him say about a dozen times while I tried to eat quickly and escape. Even when he wasn't speaking to the young lady, he would still loudly talk about how stupid she was, what an idiot she was and how terrible at her job she was. When she would ask questions, he would continue to berate her publicly. She left to the kitchen, presumably to cry, and I watched Michael go to the two young men working at the bar. He began to taunt their English, said their Spanish was just a "crappier form or Portuguese" and that "Spanish and Portuguese were really the same language". Michael- you are the amateur. read more

Definitely a chain restaurant. Appears that older people are the customers, since we were the youngest in the place (minus any workers). They have senior discounts, and the food tastes something your grandmother might like. The pounded chicken part was semi ok. Playing early 90s pop music is not so the Mexican theme we were hoping for. Sliverware had spots on it, and just not a great Mexican themed place to eat. Got shoved in a corner though no one was here, noticed anyone with kids got pushed back here. Fajitas were a chunk of meat and onion with no peppers and no seasoning. They might have put some black pepper on it at most. Kids menu had 2 Spanish things, then frozen chicken strips. Tortillas were store bought, and taco shells as well. I would have to pay a dollar for shredded cheese for my fajita, and the tomato/lettuce scoop was tiny. Rice was warmish at best. Waiter was timely I guess, but that was about it. read more

I would give it zero if I could. Probably the worst service I have ever received. After being seated we waited about 10 minutes to be addressed. My husband order queso.... it never came. Not once, but twice I was served the incorrect order. Our waitress picked up my plate and proceeded to take additional orders while carrying my plate. She then carried my incorrect order back to the POS system before taking it back to the kitchen. I finally received my order. I watched as other patrons around us were neglected as well. read more
