Let me start by saying--Mas Fajita's has always been our go-to for Mexican. We've been loyal fans since the Taylor days, and now we frequent the RR/Hutto location off 79. BUT let me just say... I am SO glad we came in today. Joseph? An absolute standout. From the moment we walked in--welcoming smile, amazing attitude, and just that energy you don't see often enough anymore. He didn't just serve us, he made the whole experience. And when I kept asking for extras (because... obviously ), his response? "That's what I'm here for." YES. That's how you do it. Stopped in for the first time last Wednesday. Hubby ordered the Tilapia and shrimp. My son and I normally split the fajitas at Mexican restaurants. This one is pretty much the same price as other places but gives you much less meat. The meat was great though. The beef was very tender and the chicken was good. We added on the shrimp and I got a side salad instead of rice and beans. Next time I'll probably order a full sized salad and not share. We ordered a happy hour queso which was good too! Waitress was very helpful and kept our drinks full. Looking forward to trying taco Tuesday with 99cent tacos. We will definitely be back for the beef fajitas! read more

Today's experience with Mas Fajitas was so much better than in the past. Food was spot on and service was exceptional. I had the Bacon Chicken Jalapeño Ranch Fajitas which was tasty. The ranch was creamy but not over powering and the chicken was cooked exactly right. The flour tortillas were also piping hot. So the first time that I ate here, it really was not good.My burrito had overcooked rice that was super dry and the meat was dry. But the second time around it was amazing, the birria tacos are amazing. I usually don't leave reviews, but this experience was frustrating. The lady manager spent more time flirting with guests at the bar than actually helping her employees while the staff was clearly overwhelmed. You could tell the employees needed support, but instead they were left struggling on their own. On top of that, the place was extremely hot and uncomfortable the entire time. Between the poor management and the uncomfortable atmosphere, it made the experience unenjoyable. A manager should be focused on running the place professionally and supporting the team, not socializing while everything around them falls apart. read more

Decided to set up a car club social recently at this MasFajitas. It was also Cinco de Mayo! They don't take reservations but I called ahead to alert them of our large party. Friends arrived before me and got the ball rolling on the table. Seated within minutes our server was prompt with drink orders, chips and salsa, and ordering. It kinda went downhill from there. The combination Fajitas (Beef, Chicken, Shrimp) AKA known as the Caldwell Special was good food. Nicely seasoned and Poblanos instead of Bell Pepper which I consider a huge flavor upgrade. I do wish the beef could be cooked to order. Ample portions of Guacamole, Sour Cream, and Cheese so there's that. My ceviche appetizer arrived with my entree so I sent it back and asked for it to be removed from the bill GF liked her Shrimp "bowl" which is basically everything on a traditional Tex-Mex plate in bowl form. I guess there's no giant fried Tortilla so it's healthier LOL? Didn't hear alot of complaints from the group until we all started to pay our tabs. The ceviche was still present on my bill so that took some time to remove (see rant below). What I didn't notice AFTER I paid the bill was the extra $5 CdM Margaritas that weren't ours. Anybody remember when POS wasn't hand held? Seems it was way easier to divide up a bill on a 15 inch touch screen versus an overgrown cell phone with a card slider. We went for Nachos and Margaritas last night. The nachos were outstanding (mixed fajitas as opposed to ground beef), and a Lot of them. Very good. The service was great, they got everything right there and quickly. The margaritas lacked something though. I'm not sure what it was exactly, but I think it needed a bit more tequila. Hard to tell though cuz I can always use a bit more tequila (but not driving). This time though, they didn't taste quite right. As I say I can't put my finger on it. we come to this location often but this last time we went here will be out very last time going. luis and jeremy were our bartenders and they were NOT attentive at all. they got my wife's drink order and than completely ignored me. we were ready to order and we were trying to get their attention and when we finally got it, jeremy looked annoyed. the fastest service we got was when we said we were ready to pay. we live closer to the pflugerville location and that location is ALWAYS on point! good food and great service. but not the round rock location! don't go here! read more

Was first time here. Had heard mixed reviews but wanted to give it a shot. Started out with plain queso. Was ok but was lacking a lot. The home made salsa was excellent. The chips were rather thick but fresh. Service was quick. Had the pork enchiladas with house gravy, rice and refried beans with cheese on them. Would not recommend the house gravy, rather bland. But there are other options to choose from. The chicken and avocado enchiladas were nice and tasty. Sauce had a great flavor. Avocados were firm and had to cut. Should have been more on the ripe side. The black beans were flavored well. The atmosphere-very very loud. Got the impression lots of families come and the kids run wild and scream, which did not make for a good date night. I could not hear my husband very well which was disappointing. I'm giving 4 stars because despite my food being delicious I was missing some items. I ordered the Albert's special for takeout with fajita beef. I also ordered 5 flour tortillas because they give alot of food on the plate and I was going to save some for lunch tomorrow but unfortunately they only gave me 3 tortillas which honestly were pretty dried up and hard when they got to me. We have eaten there many times and loved it ! Last night 9/9/25 was no bueno. Wasn't that busy at 5 pm for a taco Tuesday. We placed our order. He ordered a CA burrito and two 99 cent tacos. I ordered the Burria carnita tacos with charo beans. We also ordered a side of guacamole. Took a while but she brought out our order. She came out with carnitas fajitas. His order was correct but cold ! Rice was very cold and his burrito barely warm to the touch ! He ate it anyway. She took the wrong plate away. Didn't get my correct order for about 20 minutes and the rice was very cold. We both noticed the charo beans were not as good as all the other times we had them. The Burria consume was weak in taste and almost clear. Did they change things up ?? We saw two managers just chatting it up by the bar. She never brought the guacamole either. Usually it's really good, but the last time my boyfriend and I went our server kept bringing us limes when we asked for lemons. The burrito we ordered also did not come with queso blanco (even though the menu says it does), but our server insisted it didn't (he just asked someone else passing by, he didn't actually look at the menu). Our food was also room-temperature and the cheese inside was only partially melted. it was clearly shredded cheese from a bag. We had ordered steamed broccoli as a substitute for rice, and i assume our burrito was done way before the broccoli was and so it got cold. I'd maybe go again on a less busier day, and with a different server. He was either new or self-conscious (which is fine), but his avoidant demeanor was incredibly off-putting. This was my 1st time to try MasFajitas. I had a Dos Equis Michelada . Great tasting mix. They have good tortillas chips and fresh made salsa. Both were excellent and fresh. The Tortilla soup with added chicken has great flavor and perfect for a chilly Saturday evening. My wife had the chicken fajitas quesadillas. She said they were very good and full of the tasty chicken fajitas meat. The service was excellent, very friendly and our food was out very fast. We had a party of 10 and we got stuck with bad service so hurray for us! I think patrons would appreciate that up front. Just FYI, ask for everything like condiments and bags for your to go food. She will not give that as one might expect. I got 4 free sopapillas for checking in on Yelp. We asked for a military discount at the end but was told that if you redeem the free sopapillas from Yelp, you forfeit your mil discount. WTH? LOL! What a joke! Our previous server was inattentive--we had to repeatedly ask for things, wait far too long for basic service, and when we were ready to check out, he stood behind our table talking to another guest for over 15 minutes. If you're like me, that's an eternity when you're ready to pay and leave. This time, the experience was night and day compared to before. The atmosphere felt more welcoming, the service was spot-on, and the food--as always--didn't disappoint. We usually go for the Caldwell Special, and it hit the spot again. What really made the difference this time was our server, Roman. He was attentive, friendly, and just all-around excellent. Honestly, I looked for something to criticize and came up empty. I went there to see if it would be somewhere I would want to take people to eat. I give it a three out of 10. To start out, the chips were good but the salsa was flavorless. It needed lime juice, garlic and some cilantro blended into it. The guacamole was good. I ordered beef fajitas. The fajitas were pre-cooked and held in a hotline along with the bell peppers and onions. The peppers and onions were completely mushy and not fresh at all. The beef was dry but had an okay flavor. The beans came out like room temperature so I sent those back to get heated. The tortillas and the rest of the stuff we're just average. The server however was really a nice person and I would recommend him as a server. Other than that, I've had much better Mexican food at other places so probably not bringing people to this location. read more
