It's been awhile since we ate at Masfajitas. I chose the traditional beef enchiladas . The food was very bland. The best part of my meal was the borracho beans and the queso with ground beef. However the thing I was most surprised about is the à la carte pricing on plate meals. For example, it cost an extra $2 to get salsa with our chips. Extra onions cost $1 and corn tortillas and extra $1.50. That is an addition to the price we played for our platters. I've never had to pay extra for salsa to go with the chips. I ordered queso to go with ground beef and when I got home realized they didn't add the ground beef even though we were charged for it. We stumbled upon this spot and it was pretty good!! The service was friendly and fast! The Margarita was alright but that was the only sub par item. We started with the queso dip with ground beef and it was amazing!! The cheese was a little spicy and the meat had so much flavor. I got the chicken fajitas and they were huge! I should have stuck to the lunch portion lol. My boyfriend got the roadkill platter and loved it! It came with chicken smothered in queso, an enchilada, and some zucchini. Masfajitas has relocated to a new location and has definitely stepped up their quality of food compared to the AW Grimes location which has since closed down. It's a brand new building, so it's nice and clean and off to a fresh new start. When we arrived, we were sat immediately which was a nice surprise. However, it took over 10 minutes for our server to come and greet us. I ordered the Dennis Burrito Grande Platter and my wife ordered the Shrimp Diablo Platter. It took about 15 minutes for our food to come out. Not a wonderful start to our visit, but didn't bother us too much. We just munched away on the free chips and salsa. Our food finally came out and my burrito was solid. Nothing that blew my tastebuds away, but good and large enough to keep me happy. The Shrimp Diablo Platter that my wife ordered was definitely the star of the meal. The Shrimp was cooked well, the flavors were nice, and it was actually really spicy, which my wife was a huge fan of. All in all, we'd definitely come back for a visit sometime in the future to try some of their other dishes out. read more

I redeemed the Yelp check in offer for sopapillas. I forgot that during COVID they give you honey packets. They were hard to open, but not an issue since the sopapillas were good. I think Mas Fajitas just helped me overcome my vaccine side-effects. I popped in here post vaccine shot at Dell Diamond. It's their new location and it is big, bright and open. I was greeted at the door and offered seating but I just wanted some queso and a drink so I steered myself toward the comfortable bar area. I was quickly waited on and served. Now, I'm new to this COVID vaccine thing and I understand there are some side-effects. Apparently, my side-effects were cravings for a good margarita, hot sauce and queso compuesto. Mas Fajitas took care of my cravings...but it took some help. Michelle was behind the bar and was working hard but still attentive. She made a GREAT top shelf marg. I got my queso quickly and it was delish. But when I want salsa I tend to want spicy salsa. The regular salsa is very mild. I asked Michelle if they had anything hotter. She was off like a shot and returned with another dish of salsa which was SO flavorful and spicy. Ask for the habanero salsa. GOOD! After my second shot I'm going to roll out and catch a game at Dell Diamond and make Mas Fajitas part of the night's plan. I'll leave a four star review for now since I haven't been deeper into the menu and service. But I'm VERY tempted to give them FIVE stars based on what I've seen so far!! The restauranis a newer building just off Hwy 79 in Round Rock. It was not too busy and we were seated promptly. I had beef enchiladas and my buddy had chicken enchiladas. Was in town visiting family and they said this was a great place to eat Mexican food. They didn't lie! Service was super friendly and the queso and guacamole was really good to dip chips into! I want to start by saying I have been a fan of this location for years, so I was shocked when I went a few days ago for dinner and was so disappointed. My server was not an issue, she was perfect but the food was lacking. My daughter ordered her usual Birria Tacos, not a problem. I ordered street corn because that was new. I expected roasted, somewhat chard or toasted corn with the fixings. What I received was canned corned, briefly sauteed. I tried to keep an open mind about it but infact could not. I ordered the Tacos Al Pastor and the first time it came out the food was cold and the plate was warm. I asked the server if she can reheat it for me, she had them make me a new plate. It was hot. Perfect! The food was dry and rice lacked seasoning. I was truly disappointed because I have always been a fan of this location to the point we celebrate birthdays here. My 1st eating experience wasn't the greatest. Out waitress was more worried about another table and only that table. First time at Mas Fajitas. Food was good. Fajitas Caldwell were very yummy. Served sizzling on the grill. My only complaint was the service. We sat for close to 10 minutes and finally had to ask the the hostess to please send our waitress. The manager came over and apologized and sent someone over. That waiter (Freddy) started out attentive but then we hardly saw him. We ordered an appetizer (queso blanco) and that didn't come until after our dinner was served. I had a free sopapilla dessert offer with Yelp check in (yay!) and I told the waiter about it but was still charged for it. I had to reiterate the info. for it to be taken off once he talked to the manager. I understand restaurants are understaffed however the restaurant emptied out considerably while we were there and the service was still below par. I still tipped 20% but definitely won't be back. read more

Extremely unhappy with our experience today. We have been here countless times and have had great experiences each time but haven't been since recently having our baby several months ago. We decided to get out of the house and go out to eat where we could bring the kids along. We always order the same thing. I ordered a regular bean and cheese burrito that they've always been able to do before, and the waitress (Daniella) asked if I've had the enchiladas before instead. Um no...I already know what I wanted. She seemed confused about just being a beans, cheese, and rice burrito and asked me multiple times if that was all i wanted on it. I figured she was just being thorough and said yes. She asked if i wanted it a la carte or with beans and rice on the side to which i said I wanted beans and rice. My boyfriend wanted a grande burrito and was never asked about what sauce he wanted on top so just assumed there wasn't any (which he preferred) and asked if it was just the meat, beans, cheese, and lettuce to which she said yes. Our daughter wanted a kids hamburger with cheese, the waitress even repeated our order back to us and said a normal hamburger and we had to correct her that it was a cheeseburger so it was double checked. Our food comes out completely wrong. Both burritos are smothered in sauce that we never asked for and her kids burger has no cheese. He cut open his burrito and it had a bunch of tomatoes in it which was not in the ingredient he listed for his burrito... We told the food runner and he and the waitress tried to say it was the tomato that was mixed in with the rice. I'm sitting there was rice in MY burrito was tiny shreds of tomato in it which was obviously not what we were talking about. They kept asking if they needed to take it back and remake it, like why wouldn't you just do that anyways when the order you took was wrong and it was made incorrectly and try to make us feel bad when we are the ones paying money for it? They remade our food and my burrito came out missing rice and beans on the side even though she asked me previously if I wanted them and I said yes. My cheese on my burrito wasn't even melted. I didn't even care enough anymore to say anything because there were already so many issues with our orders I was getting highly annoyed and just wanted to eat our food and leave. Our check comes and I'm noticing my burrito with just beans cheese and rice is being charged $13, the same amount as my boyfriends burrito that's filled with meat and other ingredients and smothered with sauce? Seriously? $13 for a bean cheese and rice burrito? Why wouldn't you tell me that when I initially made the order? We would have just gone somewhere else. When asked about this, she just kept asking me if I wanted a manager. Honestly she should have gotten one way sooner when all of our food was coming out wrong and we were very obviously frustrated with our visit. This whole experience was just a giant frustration and an annoyance especially for a family with an infant who doesn't get to go out much anymore. We used to love coming here all the time and now I don't think we will ever be back. We just felt disrespected and not listened to by Daniela, especially when we had to repeat our orders multiple times and they still came out wrong. Not to mention, another customer was super mad and up and left her table and left the restaurant because she was seated and received chips and salsa and no one ever came to check on her or take her food/drink order the entire time she was there to the point that she got up and left. If you want good Mexican food and good service, go somewhere else. This place just isn't what it used to be. read more

My family and I absolutely love this place! The food is simply amazing. Full of good spices and flavor. I had the Steak Fajitas and the meat just melted in my mouth. My husband had the Dennis Burrito, it was huge.. bursting with yummy ingredients and lots of cheese, Other family all ordered Enchiladas and Chimichanga's. Needless to say very delicious and plenty big portions of food. But I will say the queso' was a little thin and runny. A little surprised. Overall the experience was wonderful. We got the queso flameado with chorizo... it was way salty... felt like I was gonna have a heart attack and yes I know chorizo is salty but it didn't look like what I've seen other queso flameados.. the tortillas were not really warm for this dish but still good. The chips were a little stale. Salsa was ok. Not as spicy. Partner got the fried avocado with chicken - it was good. I got the spinach mushroom enchiladas which was the best part of our meal (as well as the grilled jalepenos). Charro beans were ok and rice was good. Moving locations has not helped the service here. While we were sat very quickly, getting someone to come to our table to even greet us and take drink orders took about 10 minutes. Then it took another 10 to get those drinks. Our waiter tried his best though, but it is a young staff. While the salsa tasted fresh, the queso was just meh. Chips were hit or miss with being crispy or having a sheen of oil still on them which made them soggy. Expectations for anything coming out on a skillet where you expect the "wow factor" and fajita smell did not come. Plate after plate of fajitas came out of the kitchen with no sizzle. So sure of the disconnect because the skillet remained hot at our table. I'm sure MasFajitas will do fine in its new location getting the tourists from Kalahari, but locals know of better places to go. read more

Rice tasted good , but was cold both plates , refried beans were cold also, chips were stale , and the flour tortillas cold and rubbery . The pico de gallo salsa - tomatoes tasted sour ,not fresh .
