Probably 3.5 but it was just ok. A little pricey compared to house of chicken and al hamra but its close to work so ill probably be back at some point. The chicken kebab was good. Got the hummus and fries as sides, which were nothing to write home about. I would've gotten the garlic fries but I had to go back to work and after getting the regular fries its doubtful that ill ever order the garlic ones. The hummus actually tasted a little sour to me. Not sure what it was that threw me off. I appreciate the made to order aspect but it doesn't take 20 min to cook 2 kebabs when I was the only one in there. I've been craving a schwarma wrap for weeks, so I decided to check this place out. Went with some friends to grab take-out, and couldn't be happier. Service was good, the fellow who greeted us was friendly and helpful. Food was brought out in about 10 minutes, and the guy even gave us a few falafel while we waited. The hummus here is great! Just okay. If you want better kabobs, head down the street a few blocks to Chicken Maison which is by far a 5 star. If In and Out is too lined up, this is an okay alternative. $7 Chicken Shawarma and by far the worst I ever had. Chicken pieces full of bones, fat and burnt pieces. Wrap was a limp flatbread and nowhere like a real thin, pita bread. Small amount of sauce, no lettuce or pickles like a real middle eastern style shawarma. First time visit will be the last. read more

Falafel is one of my wife's favorite foods. She tried it there a few days ago and she liked their Tahini sauce. She asked me to try their meat dishes and so I went with her. I like Gyros but all they had was shawarma. I ordered a combination beef and chicken shawarma plate with rice pilaf and baba ganoush as sides. The quantities were OK but both the beef and chicken shawarma were completely tasteless. The rice pilaf was kind of dry and has no flavor. Baba ganoush was very stringy (eggplant), barely acceptable. Very disappointed. My experience suggests only two stars but my wife was happy with her falafel, so I am giving it 3 stars. In my opinion the gyros, pilaf rice are much better at chicken maison or Daphne's and will stick to those places from now on whenever I feel like having Mediterranean food. read more

I came here primarily because the adjacent In-N-Out was a zoo. I got a chicken plate which was very fresh and tasty. The hummus which accompanied the plate was really good too. The $11.95 entree portion with 2 sides and pita bread is a great value and usually leaves me with plenty of food for lunc the next day. The food was just OK. I drive by here every week on my way to see one of my clients, so finally yesterday I stopped by. I ordered the combo shawarma plate with rice pilaf and French fries. The meat got dry really quickly. The French fries had zero flavor, and neither did the rice pilaf. Luckily the side of garlic paste helped give the food some flavor and moisture. For the lack of flavor, I felt the food was way too overpriced. $13 for bland food, not that cool. The woman (who I assume was the owner) that took my order was really sweet, though. I've been waiting months for this place to open. It's always dark when I drive by but today I noticed the neon open sign was shining brightly, so I invited myself in. I was the first customer in for the day but the place started to fill up quickly. The restaurant is brand spankin new so everything is spotless. There was a mature middle eastern woman hovering about, looking very concerned, who I assumed was the owner. I guess there is plenty to be worry about because right next door is an In & Out Burger. How are you suppose to compete with that? The good looking cashier was showing me the ropes of haute Mediterranean cuisine. I decided on the Combo which included steak and chicken Shwarma with a side of rice pilaf, hummus and just one stinkin piece of pita bread. It would be better if they gave you two pitas because one just ain't going to cut it. However the Combo contained a sizable amount of food for $11, not bad. The only complaint I have was there was very little chicken in the Combo, the order contained just several pieces. The steak was a little dry but had Jasmine or Saffron spice, it was subtle but you can taste the spices long after finishing the meal, it wasn't unpleasant, just different. If you paste everything with the garlic butter, hummus, pilaf and tahini stuffed in the pita bread it was pretty tasty, sort of like a middle eastern taco. This place is a definite Plan B if the In & Out is too busy. I would comment on the Chicken Shwarma but there was so little of it, it would be difficult to make a judgement. Maybe next time. The overall menu looks like it's based on the Shwarma, they should develop more food items to keep things more interesting. But it's Mediterranean fast food so I guess they're limited. They do have Shish Kabob but maybe they can add Sandwiches and other items. For them to complete at this location, their food is going to have to be outstanding and my personal opinion is that it's just OK. It's also too bad they don't have the Shwarma cooking in the front window, like those delicious looking places in the Latin Quarter of Paris. It would add so much to the temptation factor. Instead they have them cooking in the back on modern rotisseries rather than on a skewer over a fire spit. I think this place needs to be in a mall with a lot of foot traffic cooking huge slabs of beef on the vertical rotisseries. Personally I dropped by because I was curious and probably will not return. Note. The last scene of the Avengers is a great advertisement for Shwarma. Update: I returned to try Falafel, the good looking waitress was still there but has acquired a testy attitude. This place is fabulous. Its fast, its healthy, its reasonably priced. I love this place. We go here for their beef and chicken schwarma combo, and its a good portion to share between two people. Their garlic fries are crispy and delicious. And the garlic and yogurt sauce is outstanding as well. Next time I will try their salads or wraps, but can't help but enjoy their combo plate. Its the good meal to share when I'm on a budget, but still trying to eat something good. I love Mediterranean food, and this place knocks the ball out of the park. And the service is always great. We went for early lunch, so when we got there was not that crowded. The place was clean but it felt like tables were packed together within the restaurant. Felt little cramped.
