    Attagirl Mediterranean Breakfast

Cute space - small menu. Small portions but filling and tasty. Service was great. Price point is decent. Parking is street if you are lucky - typical Hermosa Beach issues. If you are craving Mediterranean food and are in the area - check this place out.

A colorful lineup of bold, creamy sauces: herby, tangy, spicy, and savory, perfect for mixing and matching. #YUM

We hit AttaGirl LA during Dine LA, but decided to pass on the $55-per-person prix-fixe menu and instead lean on the expertise of our dinner companions, who are somewhat regulars. You nailed it, Jennifer. We were greeted with a friendly smile by the hostess and seated in a back corner, a wise move, as our group tends to get a little loud...and we did. LOL. AttaGirl describes itself as Coastal Mediterranean, which is right up my alley. The décor fits the concept beautifully: stylish but relaxed, with blush, sea-green and earthy tones, woven pendant lighting and a polished beachy-Mediterranean feel. It has a definite energy to it without feeling like your typical Hermosa beach-bar scene. We started with some scratch cocktails. They didn't have blue-cheese olives, a minor tragedy for my filthy Ketel One martini, but the martini itself was delicious, and everyone seemed very happy with round one. From there we transitioned to a bottle of vino, compliments of Italy, and the night appropriately skyrocketed. The real highlight, though, was the food. We started with the Chef's Plate, a spread of four house dips accompanied by fresh bread. Everything arrived warm and fresh, and the different spreads and accompaniments were fantastic. Other diners consistently single out the spreads, hummus and house breads as some of AttaGirl's strongest dishes, and I can see why. For our entrées, we essentially attacked the skewer section of the menu (see my picture) mushroom, wild Mexican white shrimp, beef tenderloin and fish, served on a bed of green couscous, and an assortment of flavorful sauces. The live white-oak grill gives the skewers a terrific char and smokiness, particularly the mushrooms and beef. Food across the board: EXCELLENT. Solid 'A' grade. Our evening was overseen by Savannah P., who was on the spot throughout the night and made sure we were well taken care of. All in all, a very fun Tuesday night out, great food, great drinks, great company and exactly the kind of lively atmosphere that works for a group. Parking is the usual Hermosa situation: depending on the day and time, you'll find metered street parking and nearby public lots, but I'd allow yourself a few extra minutes, particularly on a busier night. Definitely a return visit for us.

Came here on a Friday evening for a girls' night dinner I definitely recommend making reservations, especially on the weekend! For parking, there's street parking and a parking structure right across the street. The ambiance and aesthetic are so nice! There are lots of green plants throughout the restaurant, but it still has a moody, vibey feel We were seated pretty quickly. Our table was a little small, but it was fine. There was also a cute pink wall right next to us that was perfect for pictures Service was great, everyone was in a great mood happy and helpful We ordered a bunch of dishes to share: Spicy Whipped Feta -So creamy and delicious! It had a nice kick to it and came with fresh, warm pita. Peruvian Scallop Crudo - My absolute FAVORITE! It came with a pomegranate sauce that was so refreshing and delicious. I seriously could have eaten 20 of these! Spiced Lamb Meatballs - Surprisingly so good! The meatballs were hearty, tender, and had so much flavor. Scallop Skewer -The scallops tasted super fresh and were cooked perfectly with lots of flavor. They were served over a bed of quinoa tabouli, which paired really well with them. Marinated Chicken Skewer - So juicy, flavorful, and delicious! We had both skewers with the mango yogurt amba and spicy herb zhoug sauces. They also gave us a garlic sauce and another sauce that reminded me of tzatziki. I loved being able to try the different sauces with everything! Overall, such a cute spot for a girls' night out! The food was flavorful, the atmosphere was beautiful, and we really enjoyed everything we ordered.

A longtime friend and colleague was in town, and my wife and I always make a point of getting together over a good dinner. This time we decided to try Atta Girl, and it was a great call. The place has a fun, energetic vibe without feeling over the top. Service was outstanding from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaging. You can tell they enjoy what they're doing. We shared several dishes, and everything was excellent. The Spicy Whipped Feta with rosemary smoked salt focaccia is an absolute must order. The focaccia alone is worth coming back for. The Crispy Brussels Sprouts with date purée, brown butter, fennel vinaigrette, and parmesan were outstanding, and even the Atta Girl Fries with dill vinegar and mustard aioli disappeared quickly. We also ordered the shrimp, scallop, and beef skewers, all served over a bed of quinoa tabbouleh. Every skewer was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and complemented beautifully by the fresh, herbaceous tabbouleh. Great cocktails, delicious food, and a staff that made the evening even more enjoyable. We had a fantastic night and will definitely be back. Atta Girl has earned a spot on our South Bay favorites list. 5 stars.

I wanted to try this place out with a girlfriend. She made reservations for first thing in the AM when they opened. It doesn't look like much from the outside. It doesn't even look like a restaurant, just a building. We both arrived late, due to the parking situation, but she called and let the restaurant know we were going to be late. We both walked in a little after 10AM on Saturday. The gentleman asked us where we wanted to sit. He walked us to the main dining area, and I chose the first booth on the right. Perfect table. We ordered cocktails first. I ordered the Surfside. Pretty, delicious, and refreshing! The sliver of cucumber and yellow flower strategically placed. We ordered the spicy hummus and rosemary focaccia to start. Our waiter, Samson, also brought us an appetizer. Both were absolutely scrumptious. All the bread is homemade in the restaurant. The focaccia bread was soft and moist. Perfectly paired with the hummus. The appetizer was a light, flaky crust around cheese. My girlfriend had to order another one to go. For brunch, I ordered the Atta Girl Breakfast, which includes eggs, potatoes, 2 pieces of fried cheese, a pita, and small side of yogurt, sliced cucumber, grape tomatoes, and dill. So good. It's a modern take on Mediterranean food. Afterwards, we ordered the donut (holes) for dessert, which was also delicious. Fresh. Samson added a lighted candle in it for the birthday girl. Service was exceptional. He is well versed in the cocktail list and menu. Great recommendations. Parking: Good luck! That was why both of us were late to our reservation. We both had to drive around multiple times before we found parking. There are many metered parking spaces down the street and small parking lots on the side streets, but the weekends get busy in Hermosa Beach.

I've been wanting to try AttaGirl ever since my wife raved about it! Serving great Mediterranean food in Hermosa. The food, wine and service, were all fantastic. I can't wait to go back! As for parking there are nearby lots, street parking, or valet parking next door.

Atta Girl is really cool brunch spot located in Hermosa Beach. There wasn't a super long wait time and we sat pretty quickly. The waitress was super nice and attentive. I got the Atta Girl breakfast with sausage and it was pretty delicious. The Eggs were nice soft flavorful great consistency. The sausage was nice and juicy a lot bigger than i thought and was always good. But the highlight of all highlights was the potatoes. The were seasoned so well nice and crispy really enjoyed them.

Wow wow wow Came here with my girlfriend last week and it was amazing! Our first bite of the skewers had us both saying "wowwwww" couldn't stop saying that! I'm definitely coming back and bringing my husband.

An amazing dining experience over three courses. My dining companion and I had dinner at this restaurant, that I found on tik tok. We were in for a pleasant surprise. The food - incredible, with the exception of the octopus. Great flavor, but too salty. We could pick up on the flavor notes, but like I said, the salt was the pronounced flavor. 1st course - lamb meatballs, octopus and harissa shrimp. 2 out of three were delicious. 2nd course- THE SKEWERS!!!!!! We ordered the beef, mushroom, scallops and shrimp! And the accompanying sauces !!!! Side note - before we received our check, we made reservations to go back in two weeks because of these skewers. That's how good they were. A ten out of ten experience. 3rd course- the main - short rib. The best way to describe it? Delectable. So tender. So flavorful, on a bed of the most perfectly cooked potatoes.

Been here a few times and tried several items and everything has been excellent. Favorites are the focaccia, hummus, whipped feta, and all the skewers. It's very cute inside with nice decor and good service.

Visited Attagirl with my boyfriend and had an absolute blast! The decor is super cute and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. We ordered the chef plate with focaccia bread, which was phenomenal. The spicy feta was seriously delicious and my fave! The other dips were pretty good too. The grilled squid was beautifully tender, and both the shrimp and tenderloin were perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend for a fun night out with great food and good vibes!

My bf was picking me up from LAX and right before I landed, I texted him that I had made a reservation for dinner here. The place was packed for a Monday night! Savannah was our server and she was very sweet and took great care of our table. We ordered the following: General Sesame - I'm super into gin lately and I love sesame, so this was a no-brainer. It had a slightly nutty, toasted character balanced with bright citrus and just a touch of sweetness. I really enjoyed this cocktail. Negroni - My bf ordered this and I tried a sip. It was well made. Rosemary Smoked Salt Focaccia w/ Roasted Spiced Eggplant - This combo was perfection. My bf said the baba ghanoush wasn't "traditional," but seriously tho I wasn't looking for traditional here. I thought it was phenomenal. It was soft, creamy, and packed with warm spices. Roasting gave it a slightly smoky sweetness that made the dip rich and flavorful. Roasted Golden Beets - I'm usually not a fan of red beets, but golden beets are typically my go-to. These were colorful and beautifully plated. The roasting brought out their natural sweetness and they had a tender texture with bright flavors that made the dish both visually appealing and delicious. Wild Mexican White Shrimp Skewer - Perfectly grilled with a light char that brought out their natural sweetness. They were served over a bed of quinoa tabouli, which added a bright, herby freshness with notes of parsley and citrus that paired really well with the shrimp. The dish also came with two dipping sauces on the side. RR Ranch Beef Tenderloin Skewer - My bf ordered this and said it was tender, juicy, and nicely charred from the grill. Basque Cheesecake - We're currently on a Basque cheesecake kick since we're getting ready for our Spain trip and San Sebastian is on our itinerary. Savannah hyped it up so much that we ended up ordering it. It really was the perfect way to end the meal. It had that signature caramelized top with lightly burnt edges that give Basque cheesecake its depth of flavor. The inside was creamy and custardy rich but not overly sweet with a smooth, melt in your mouth texture. We thanked Savannah for recommending it and she told us that one of her regulars is from San Sebastian and even gave their cheesecake an 8/10 rating, saying it tastes pretty close to the real thing! Overall, our first experience here was delightful. We'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

Made a reservation and still waited. Food is good though. Service is good. Ambiance is cozy and very loud. It's hard to have a conversation with a big group without yelling. Most plates are for sharing, though you can order individual dishes. But sharing is more fun so you can try them all! Highly recommend the beef and scallop skewers. The brussel spouts are good too. The carbonara is good. Would not recommend the loaded Greek fries though. Would not recommend velvet hoof alcohol drink ... not refreshing and way too expensive for the price.

What are parking options? Is there valet?

Hi there! Valet is available Wednesday-Sunday. There are also parking structures in front of our location aside from metered parking on Hermosa Ave and Pier Ave. cheers!

    What is corkage fee?

Hi Anne. It is $30 a bottle! Cheers!

    What's the price range?

The food is very good and the menu has lots of enticing options. While it is not an expensive place and I didn't over order, with two cocktails the tab was $166 plus a tip. The pricing was very fair.

    Is the meat halal 🍖?

Thank you for your inquiry, we do our best to source the best quality meats, however, it is not specifically halal. Cheers!

    Is attagirl open yet?

The menu also features traditional Pakistani, Persian, and Arabic dishes, such as Beef Nihari and Haleem. After several visits, here are my thoughts on some of their grilled meats and desserts. Beef Kofta - 3/5. The kofta was a bit dry and tough. I wish it had more fat and seasoning to make it juicier and more flavorful. The grilling is also somewhat inconsistent--sometimes the kofta comes out beautifully browned, while other times it's over-charred. Grilled Fish - 4/5. This is easily my favorite item on the menu and, in my opinion, their best dish. The fish is seasoned just enough to enhance its natural flavor without overpowering it. It's grilled very well, developing a beautiful golden-brown crust while remaining moist and tender inside. Beef Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. The quality of the beef is decent, especially considering the price. Given the cut of meat they use, they've done a commendable job with the grilling. The beef has a solid seasoning base and a nice sear with just enough char to add flavor without becoming overly smoky. It's reasonably tender, though I wish it retained a bit more juiciness. Chicken Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. Very similar to the beef shish kebab. It has good flavor and is grilled well, but it could benefit from being a little juicier. Gyro - 2/5. Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment. The gyro meat on the vertical spit often appears to be rotating without enough heat to properly caramelize and crisp the exterior. As a result, the meat comes across as dry, rubbery, and lacking the rich roasted flavor that makes a great gyro. Kunafa (Knafeh) - 3/5. This dessert has both strengths and weaknesses. The cheese filling has a pleasant, slightly salty flavor and a creamy texture, and I appreciate that it isn't overly sweet. However, the syrup is underwhelming. A good kunafa should be generously coated with a fragrant sugar syrup - ideally infused with rose water or orange blossom water - to provide sweetness and aroma. I also wish the kataifi, the shredded pastry dough, were crispier and lighter to create a better contrast with the gooey cheese filling. Overall, Al Hamra Kabob Grill is one of the better places to enjoy Middle Eastern-style grilled dishes in the South Bay. While a few menu items could be improved, the grilled fish stands out as excellent, and the shish kebabs are solid choices. The owner is also incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, neighborhood atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. It's not perfect, but it's a restaurant I enjoy visiting from time to time and one I'd recommend if you're craving grilled Middle Eastern flavors.

I've never eaten in, but I've picked up food from here twice and have enjoyed their food at my sister's house at least one other time. The first thing I don't understand is how this place is in Torrance rather than Redondo Beach. I don't mean that I don't understand why they chose Torrance over Redondo Beach; I mean that I just don't understand the two cities' boundaries very well, because this feels like straight-up North Redondo to me. The second thing I don't understand is how this place hasn't expanded or multiplied or otherwise won the hearts and minds and stomachs of South Bayers near and far. But maybe it already has. The third thing I don't understand is why I don't come here more often. It's not that far from my sister's house, and I was dog-sitting there earlier this year. . . . I'm fresh out of things I don't understand. What I do understand is that the owners of this place (an Armenian brother and sister?) are amazing. The food is so good and fresh and flavorful. The menu is kind of all over the place, which in most cases is a red flag, but in the case of more than one restaurant owned and operated by Armenians (I'm including my cousin's restaurant before he sold it and retired), the more different items on the menu, the better. Or at least it's not a red flag. I promise. The combo deal is legit, but even without that deal, the prices are good, especially when you consider the food quality. Writing his review now makes me miss King Mediterrano even though I don't normally miss it or think about it. Those days are over. Next time I have calories to collect in the South Bay, I'm headed straight for Redondo Beach Boulevard.

Tableware is pretty basic, but the food definitely isn't, customer service was excellent too. We wanted one of everything on the menu, including the specials that day, but went with: Crazy about Beets - beautiful magenta beet hummus with yellow roast beet sprinkled with pistachio and dukkah with charred tomatoes. The flavours, texture, and freshness was a stand out. Really loved this dish.10/10 Roasted Cauliflower - OMG died and gone to heaven! 100/10 Falafel Sliders - 2 in a serve so you can share, crunchy, spicy, oh so moreish, good flavour and texture 8/10 Quinoa Tabbouleh - lovely lemony mouthfuls with a mint hit Chicken Mosli - the turmeric broth was amazing, soaking the veg and chicken in such a flavourful broth made everything extra 10/10 De Soi Rose - a pre mixed drink which had a pleasant berry taste (rather like Ribena if you are from the UK), refreshing and easy to drink Baumgartner white wine - Austria, little of a wine gum taste akin to sav blanc, not as much of the pepper taste I was expecting, but still eminently drinkable We really enjoyed our dinner and will be back again soon, with the beets and cauliflower definitely our first choices followed by something different, as we work our way through the entire menu!

There was something so comforting and nostalgic for a place I'd never been. The owner interacted with us and everyone else with a level of hospitality that I feel is such a lost art. He came by to chat and was just so kind. It was refreshing to see someone who actually cares about his customers. The food was also delicious! Whole Chicken - Juicy, everything you want in a rotisserie chicken Rice - Fluffy yum yum Hummus - Silky, decadent perfection Mediterranean Potato Salad - Loved! Just the perfect amount of citrus and the texture was excellent Arabic Salad - Fresh herbs and ripe tomato, well seasoned I appreciated the presentation and the food was served by the hard working women in the kitchen. Brought to the table with love. Nael noticed we devoured the dark meat first and offered to exchange the breast with dark meat. We appreciated the offer but kept our order. During a conversation he had with another table, he kindly reminded a man that there were children present (my daughters) and smiled at me. What incredibly thoughtful and mindful gestures! I came for the chicken and will stay for Nael. Thank you for a lovely experience and absolutely beautiful dinner
