Lobster roll, Connecticut style with extra meat and butter
    George E.

In Denver, ordering a lobster roll and New England clam chowder, whike the ocean is far, far away. Cherry Creek is a bustling part of town with new venues and a very busy clientele looking for good food. I did not realize that Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls was a chain and is harbored in a new, clean and sleek shop. We ordered the New England clam chowder and a Bar Harbor lobster roll served Connecticut style with more lobster meat, butter and warm. The top split bun was nicely buttered and a bountiful amount of warm lobster. The meat was tender and sweet, a good roll even in Denver. The chowder had the same viscosity as water. There was no richness, thickness and uncious flavors I typically see in good chowder. I question whether it is homemade and not pre-made and warmed. Good seafood in a landlocked, middle of the US state was a dodgy choice. The lobster was good but the chowder was better at Whole Foods. My expectations were not high, but I was optimist. If you are not a coastal seafood aficionado, this was fine but not a WOW moment.

The coke in a can was like room temperature, the people at counter almost didn't give me my food. They asked for an order number I showed her my order number. Then she said she needed my name. Then she needed me to tell her my order. Just not very easy pick up. The food itself was cold even though I ordered it connecticut style and the lobster was kind of chewy and not fresh. Didn't really look like it had butter on it. Will not be returning to this location.

My mom ordered take out for me from here and it was delicious even after traveling 30 minutes in the car. It was filled with a lot of lobster and it was cooked perfectly. The meal also came with a chowder that I also really enjoyed and a pickle! Would definitely come here again if I wanted to splurge on a lobster roll.

The lobster roll was very good. The garlicky buttery shrimp roll was just okay. Not very busy right at the lunch hour, so not much of a wait. The tater tots were more like mini hash brown patties, not really tater tots. Obviously, a bit pricey for a small lobster roll. Good for a one time visit. Not sure I'd go back

absolutely delicious, but pricey... these lobster rolls are a tad bit too small, but the lobster is incredibly tender and buttered to perfection. additionally, the bun was a flawless mix of soft and toasted. my roll came out in less than ten minutes, and the employees are friendly. it also looked clean inside, but not very decorative... a simple, fast-casual vibe. overall, great experience; would go again!

Very impressed by the lobster roll I had. I ordered the classic roll as it was warm out and thought that would be refreshing. It tasted fresh, light, buttery. Everything I had hoped for! Staff was very kind! Plenty of seating inside and ac was working great!

Stopped by and tried the lobster bisque. Good flavor but very thin. Very casual environment.

Life is short. Sometimes you need to treat yourself to something extravagant. . . . And that was just what I was thinking when I decided to splurge and get the lobster roll (traditional style) from Mason's last week. With a $2 side of slaw and a tip it ran me a bit over $30 to have a once-in-a-long-while kinda lunch. Absolutely worth it. But be sure to order the double portion of lobster for the extra $6 up-charge. The reason why? 'Cause they add it all in tail meat--the tastiest part of the once-living creature of God that you'll be having the joy of consuming.

Wow, this is the spot to go to if you are looking for a lobster roll in Cherry Creek! I was really impressed by the quality of the lobster meat and the lobster bisque. The tater tots were very great too. I did not quite love the house dipping sauce that the tors came with but the taters were still great with ketchup to me. I do wish they had fries on the menu, but was happy with the options that I had tried. The place had quick service and is set up to easily dine in or take away. There is an outdoor patio as well so you can sit outside if you choose. They offer a variety of bottled sodas as well as fountain drink options so there is a nice mix of drinks to choose from. There is street parking in the area or you can find one of the parking garage is located within Cherry Creek North. Overall, I had a great experience and I would definitely return again for a lobster roll. I would say that if you come here, definitely plan on ordering at least one side because the lobster roll alone will not be filling.

I enjoyed eating at this location and the food was pretty good but compared to foods in the past I thought it was just one step below. THE ROLL: I enjoyed the bar harbor applied to the classic lobster roll and connecticut roll. Both of these rolls just have an amazing flavor, it's not too strong nor was it too weak, "perfectly balanced as all things should be." -Thanos. The lobster tail was somehow a little tough to bite through. Don't get me wrong though, after you bite through the lobster tail it is delicious. The texture is a little tough on the lobster tail but easy enough to give. CLASSIC LOBSTER ROLL: I was wowed by the flavor. The classic lobster roll with the mayo and lemon butter is just great. It adds a little bit of tanginess just enough to give it that perfect balance of savory and acidity. The great part about it is that they also give you a lemon slice as well as a pickle (more on the pickle later). CONNECTICUT ROLL: This is as simple as simple can get, but simple doesn't mean delicious as many expert forms of anything is based upon a strong foundation, and a strong foundation it is. Perfect savoriness and adds a lot of juiciness. If you're worried about the taste of mayo or something else, you're always safe with this roll. THE LOBSTER MAC: HOLY now this is good. I absolutely love this guilty pleasure. Not only do you get a perfectly cheesy taste of the mac and cheese, it also has great texture, not too viscous or watery. THE PICKLE: The pickle tickles my taste buds as i would always pay more than a nickle for a pickle. The acidity of the pickle dripples into my mouth and makes any fickle thoughts dissapickle. The pickle makes this dish a perfect addon. Overall i really enjoyed my time here, the service was nice and I thought the food tasted great. My only complaint is that the lobster tail just didn't have the explosive texture that i remember in other lobster rolls.

Not good lobster roll. Over salted and weird texture.

We do have a small patio and other outdoor seating. Please come on in and join us for a lobster roll in the sun!

Do the have gluten free buns?

They didn't when they first opened but said they would be. I would call and verify that they started to.

I'm from Alabama, so I know this dish well. It was fabulous. My only complaint is the amount of broth with the lack of grits. More grits with less broth would be more favorable. Absolutely Exceptional…read more Jack's on Pearl exceeded every expectation. As Texas transplants, we've enjoyed some incredible steakhouses over the years and have traveled extensively, but this was truly one of the best dining experiences we've had. We even drove up from Colorado Springs for our 18th wedding anniversary, and it was worth every mile. We started with the wedge salad, which was fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor--easily one of the best wedge salads we've ever had. The warm bread service was incredible and paired perfectly with the house-made spreads. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and absolutely unforgettable. The highlight of the evening was the Wagyu steak topped with cheesy potato croquettes. It was cooked to perfection and so tender it practically melted in your mouth. Every bite was packed with incredible flavor and was one of those dishes you continue talking about long after the meal is over. What impressed us most was that every single item we ordered was exceptional. The quality of the ingredients, attention to detail, presentation, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. After reading some of the reviews beforehand, we weren't sure what to expect. In our experience, this restaurant is incredibly underrated. Our meal, service, and overall experience were outstanding from start to finish. If you're looking for a special dinner, anniversary celebration, or simply one of the best meals you'll have in Colorado, Jack's on Pearl is absolutely worth the visit. We will definitely be back and will be recommending it to friends and family. Thank you to the entire team for making our 18th anniversary so memorable. -- Andrea & Sergio

I will say for the oyster deal it has been good, but sometimes the oysters aren't cleaned well. Again a hit and miss. The ambiance is nice and soothing, very ocean blue. We have also tried some sides and other entrees. The shrimp entree was good but lacked some salt. The burger was amazing with the bacon jam and always have the best shoestring fries. I also got an order of the crispy rice that has a salmon and a tuna. The salmon was way too sweet and had a fishy aftertaste that I disliked. The truffle tuna was definitely the better one of the two. However, the rice itself was absolutely mushy and not necessarily crispy. It also didn't have the best flavor. Desserts tried were the olive oil orange cake and the brownie. both are OK and nice and sweet, but not something I would spend money on Overall, truly think this place is a hit and miss. Service was excellent. Our waitress had high positive energy and staff worked as a team. Minor mistakes were no big deal, and somewhat charming and impressive in the way it was handled. Sourdough bread for starters. I made the silly mistake of scraping off the top of the butter and getting an incredibly salty bite. The next time, I stuck my knife into the butter and scooped some out. That was much better. I got the burger and fries, which were fine and on par for what I would expect at a nice establishment. The mac and cheese side was okay, maybe a little disappointing. The filet mignon was cooked so perfectly. Maybe sous vide? Just executed incredibly well. Shrimp, I wasn't crazy about. It tasted like shrimp and it was good, I guess. The sauce that came with the steak was killer on my burger. We don't sauce our steak, so I experimented on burger because it came with steak anyway. They are going for a fine dining theme but it is closer to nicer casual with fine dining prices. Upon walking in, there was an electric violinist that was doing covers of rap and pop songs. It was off putting to say the least. Then half way through our dinner, the electric violinist was swapped out for a DJ that was doing remixes of again rap and pop songs. It was all too loud in my opinion as well. The food was very mediocre. We started off with sourdough bread and salted butter. The bread had a very very hard exterior. Next were the west coast oysters... at $5/oyster! That's probably some of the highest prices I've paid for oysters and they were decent but had a lot of shell chips within the oysters. The butternut squash ravioli was good but overly rich to my taste; I was only able to eat a few due to how rich it was. The clam chowder base was tasty but there were barely any clams in it. We decided to splurge a little and ordered the tomahawk steak with lobster. It was interesting. I've never had a steak so expensive but so flavorless. I think they were trying to minimize the amount of seasoning on it to accentuate the steak's natural flavor but it just did not have any. The lobster was good. The vegetables had a cheap sauce taste to it. Asparagus was decent. The service was good. Eloise was our server and she did a good job with her recommendations and checking in on us. Although I did feel like she was a bit too casual for the fine dining theme they're striving for.

The concept of it being inside a home is very interesting. The food here is amazing especially their Caesar Salad. That salad was so delicious we wanted to order some to go. Now the reason why this place is getting three stars because 1. The service here is horrible! 15-25 minute wait for our server to come back around and check in on us. It wasn't just us either but it was everyone else in the room. Saw a couple that waited about 25 minutes just to be checked up on after being seated. We also never asked for our bill yet and it was given to us without us asking. We wanted to order more food after our entree. Hence why we never got to order our Caesar salad. 2. This one was the most disappointing part of our dinner. We ordered tiramisu for our dessert, once served I noticed a glossy chunky on it, assuming it was maybe crystallized sugar. Wrong. It was a chunk of ice!! The tiramisu WAS STILL FROZEN!! For 12 bucks I can get some better tiramisu at king soopers, Safeway, or any other restaurant honestly. 3. There was an ant in my drink, and we weren't compensated for that. We paid 4 dollars for an ant drink.

Yuzu Cake - fantastic texture and taste Lava Cake - was giving off unusual banana notes Definitely a place that I will return. Valet parking available as well as meter and further free street parking.

Great dinner at Toro Latin Kitchen with a large group, and everyone left happy…read more We started with the sweet corn empanadas, the clear highlight of the apps, sweet, warm, and perfectly crisp on the outside. Beef tartare was close behind, finely diced and well-seasoned. The guacamole was fresh and chunky, the prawns had a nice char, and the Amarillo ceviche brought a bright, citrusy heat from the aji amarillo peppers that balanced beautifully against the cool, tender fish. But the real highlight of the night was the steaks. My skirt steak was cooked perfectly, well-charred outside and tender inside, paired with the potatoes three ways, crispy, creamy, and roasted, each with its own texture and seasoning. Even better was the tomahawk ribeye, flambéed tableside in mezcal, a great bit of theater with a smoky, slightly sweet flame that infused the meat. I got lucky enough to try a bite. Rich, buttery, and delicious with heavy rosemary. A real treat. Service was a bit spotty for our group. I won't go into details, but our server disappeared for long stretches and it took a long time to finally get our entrees. This was likely because of our specific server.
