It was my first time at Salt Water Social on a business trip and had a great experience. My server Eloise was kind and attentive even when I changed my drink order a few times. I got a glass of Chardonnay, a Coral Crush, baked oysters & raw from their happy hour menu, surf and turf with 6oz steak and buttered shrimp. From the time I was seated, to the delivery and quality of food (especially how tender the steak was), the experience was superb!

Came here for a recent quick lunch on a Monday. Mondays also happen to be their 99 cent Oyster day which is such a great deal. I was told it was "Shucker's choice" and the variety served that day were from Maine. So delicious with the cocktail sauce/horseradish and mignonette sauces. I also tried a tuna wasabi taco. Didn't quite hit the spot with only one bite giving the taste of wasabi and the tortilla too thick that the texture dominated much of each bite. Friendly service, looking forward to trying more of the menu.

The food here was absolutely fantastic! We were there for a private event and my first visit, I will definitely return to this lovely venue. The private room was small, but light and airy with huge windows/French doors that opened to a patio. Having the evening air come in during our meeting was so refreshing after being trapped in an office all day. The impeccable service offered by Kenny and team was very noticeable in the sense that we did not lack for anything we asked for. I ordered a gin and Yuzu Curaçao cocktail that came in a martini glass with a hydrogen bubble on top. Every time I try to take a picture it would pop right before I could do it! Kenny came to my rescue starting a new bubble at least five times so I could get the right video! The drink was solid and I would definitely order it again. Great wine list Kenny took care of my wine choice for me when I wasn't sure what to get by asking my preferences and suggesting three choices. A prefixed meal was ordered by the event planner, which gave us an awesome sampling of the sesame crusted Aji tuna over the best fried rice rice ever! I couldn't stop eating the rice, which was frustrating because I wanted to eat other things too! The chicken was tender and served with a lovely, light sauce. The mashed potatoes were decadent with a cheesy topping. The asparagus was grilled to perfection. Oh, and the appetizers were fantastic too. There was a delicious Caesar salad and some kind of cheesesteak eggrolls that were addictive. The desserts included a type of bananas, Foster, I believe and the most amazing chocolate lava cake, and a pineapple upside down cake. All were decadent and delicious. I am saving this restaurant for my guest to come to town with discriminating restaurant taste!

First time going to Salt Water Social and we also went for happy hour. Disappointed in our visit. Service was not that great. Our server sighed when he took our order - we were appalled. The place was not busy either. Food was good but not worth the price for how small/tiny everything was. I understand happy hour is usually smaller portions, but this was extremely small for the price point. We got the surf and turf and he was rude that we wanted both surf AND turf. The one shrimp cost $10 more and no chimichurri present. The oysters were probably the size of a quarter and $3 per oyster. Most happy hour spots are valued at $1.25-$2, but those oysters were tiny. The martinis were probably the only thing we really enjoyed. We opted out of the bleu cheese olives.

If you are looking for an amazing experience and ambiance then look no further than- Cherry creek's Salt Water Social is a beautiful space to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, private parties, date nights, big wins, small wins and just because! The food was fresh, hot, and had flavor thank goodness and my favorite thing: fresh potato French fries! Our service was pleasant and very welcoming- especially being a woman of color often times we aren't served or greeted special in Cherry Creek but this place was authentic and warm and inviting! Looking forward to dinner soon!

We went here on Valentine's Day the wife and I and let's just say it is pricey ,but!!!! I am 100 percent willing to pay for a damn good meal and that's just what we had , now I didnt get a photo of the wife's meal she had the 6 oz steak with a lobster tail and it was all gas no breaks! I had the Tuna and crab fried rice tuna was a 9/10 and the crab fried rice was a 7.8/10 the rice was surprisingly spicy I did not expect that. Over all damn good food and our waiter was amazing . All in all , I recommend this place twice over , not sure why they have 3.5 stars,at the very minimum a 4/5 food and experience combined.

A crispy and fresh Caesar salad with extra anchovies totally rocked

Total shock. This location has failed many times over the years, but now, I think Salt Water Social has a better chance of making it work given the great meal we had there earlier this week.We had a Dining Out coupon worth $35 towards an entree at this place. It's right down the street. I'd worked late and it was too late to make dinner at home. My honey wanted some seafood. So, for all of those reasons we found ourselves walking into Salt Water Social without a reservation on a late Monday night. The evening didn't start out well. Two folks who worked there were talking right behind the entryway station while we were standing there for what seemed like a long time in what was a pretty empty restaurant. Finally I said, "Hi there. Does anyone want us to eat here?" The two looked up and seemed surprised. "Oh. We're sorry. We didn't see you." We first thought that was funny since we saw them observe us walking in, but ya never know, and they seemed nice once they woke up, so while we had just about turned around and gone down the block to another of what are about fifty restaurants in Cherry Creek, we smiled and said hello, and followed them to an almost customer-free area in the large bar space. Turned out that had been the low point of the evening and then everything turned around dramatically. The sweet server Shardey introduced herself along with the new worker who she was training. She thoroughly went through the menu also helped us with the wine list. Literally every dish we had was wonderful. Started with some delicious crusty sourdough bread that tasted incredible when served with their salted butter and a great glass of Super Tuscan wine. Followed that up with an excellent Caesar salad with extra anchovies that was clearly made fresh from scratch. My sweetheart had the cioppino and I had the seared tuna over a generous serving of crab fried rice, both of which were fabulous. We ordered a side of creamed spinach and it quickly became clear that we had over-ordered. We departed with a bag of leftovers that seemed to weigh several pounds but I'm sure I'm exaggerating. So what a turnaround it was. We'd had low expectations at the start of the visit but by the time we left we were 100% in their corner hoping to see them again soon. The place was lightly used when we went in around 8:30 on a Monday night, but I hear that it's quite lively the rest of the week. You should definitely check them out when you're up for some fine dining in the Cherry Creek area. Somewhat pricey but very well worth it, we're definitely going to return in the near future. Yay, for Salt Water Social!

Seriously the most incredible meal. I went here when it first opened and it was good, but this visit was unreal. They just keep making things better. The service was amazing. Our waiter Kenny was THE BEST! The drinks the food. Everything was 50/10. Perfect spot for girls night. Things you can't miss: the seafood tower, the dirty pearl martini with a caviar bump, the filet, calamari, potatoes au gratin, ago tuna with crab fried rice. And ALLLLLL the desserts. Incredible!

Found this restaurant online when looking for something near my hotel, and made a reservation. It was not extremely busy since it was a Thursday evening. I was seated at a table near the bar. Bar area was nice and had a few TVs. There was also an outdoor dining area that was pretty full. The atmosphere was very upscale. They even had a violinist playing "modern" music. I found it to be very enjoyable. My server, Casey, was very attentive. She pointed out highlights on the menu and even made some recommendations. The complementary bread service quickly arrived. The sourdough and whipped butter were amazing. My entree arrived soon after. The steak was a bit past mid rare, but still delicious. They offer multiple butter toppings. I recommend the garlic butter. The duck fat fries were also top notch. For dessert I chose the Flambé Bananas Foster. Unfortunately, they did not flambé table side, which would have been great to see. Despite that, the dessert was very tasty. The GM, Alli, even came around a couple times to check in, and we had a nice chat before I left. Overall, the service and food were great. I highly recommend it. Tip: Use the valet. Parking in a nearby garage is not any cheaper. Tip 2: Sign up for their Friends With Benefits program. Start earning points on your first visit, and receive a reward on your second visit.

Where to start. Well we came in during restaurant week on a Monday at 5pm. Got seated right away and our host turned out to be our waitress. She was very rude and short the minute she found out we were here for restaurant week. She got our drink order and it took her another 15 mins to get a soda and a martini. (We were one of two table at the time). She then grabbed our orders and was very short and rude attitude. At that same exact time another table go seated next to us and their waiter was extremely polite and knowledgeable. He asked about allergies, if they wanted free bread and if they wanted sparkling or still water. Meanwhile our waitress didn't ask us anything. As for the food: Not worth the price. Crab cakes were edible but not crispy on the outside. Main course of surf & turf was nothing special barely seasoned. Side add on dishes of Mac & cheese was ok and the mash potatoes were fine. The waiter Morris who was replacing our first waitress was very sweet and tried to make our night better by brining us a couple of shots. If you choose to dine in I highly recommend sitting in his section. Other wise the ambience doesn't justify the price and the quality of food. ****we had issues with our check since the Managment didnt have a button on their computer for Restaurant week special. We had to track the manager down ourselves to get it resolved.

A visit to Salt Water Social is truly magical! I tried a mix of their luxurious holiday specials and delicious dinner menu! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere and exceptional service set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. If you're looking to indulge, start with the jaw-dropping Seafood Tower for Two--a seafood lover's dream come true! Every bite, from the East & West Coast Oysters to the Hamachi Sashimi, is perfectly paired with flavorful sauces that elevate the experience. The Calamari Fritti is crispy, zesty perfection, and the entrees? Pure holiday decadence! The Mermaid Surf & Turf and Prime Rib are absolute must-tries, and the Shrimp Scampi is a rich, garlicky delight. You can't skip the desserts! The Chocolate Cake is a chocoholic's paradise, and the Pineapple Cakewith rum caramel sauce is a tropical escape on a plate. Pair it all with their signature Mermaid's Brewcocktail, and you're in heaven.  Salt Water Social is the perfect place to celebrate in style. Highly recommend gathering your loved ones and planning a special occasion at this amazing restaurant.

To celebrate my 30th birthday, my wife curated a weekend full of experiences for us, including tasting a few restaurants around Colorado we had not yet tried.   Our third stop (if you do not count my obligatory stop to Call your Mother for brunch) was Salt Water Social and it was my wife, myself, and my best friend of 19 years. Saltwater Social is affiliated with STK and when you walk in, you definitely can see the similarities, but also the distinct differences, with service and an enjoyable experience being at the top of both.   As if the friendly staff was not enough, the ambiance in this place is to die for. During the day the sunlight bounces off the aquatic themed décor, really giving the impression that you are underwater. The intentionally placed mermaids throughout and the blue accents sprinkled in against the white marble, really make this place stunning. At night the dim lighting and candles give it a darker deep blue ocean feel which we also enjoyed (but is a little hard for photos).   Our server's name was Jess and not only was she knowledgeable, she was so sweet and so attentive.   We happened to stop in at happy hour, which really enabled us to try a lot for a good price.   To simplify the process, they have you order everything at once, and then pace it as it comes out.   We tried: -              Beer Battered Snow Crab (Happy Hour) -              Bay Scallop Ceviche (Happy Hour) -              Lil' Brg (Happy Hour) -              Caesar Salad (enough for 3 people to share with the intention of having a side salad) -              Shrimp Scampi (2) -              Beef Short Rib Braised in Red Wine w/ creamed potatoes     Beer Battered Snow Crab 10/10 - As someone who does not like to fight with their food, this was perfect for me, and I honestly could have had an entire plate (which is available to you if you select the Surf n Turf option). The flavor was absolutely delicious, paired with a sauce that had a bit of a kick to it.   Bay Scallop Ceviche 10/10 - I did not try this as it was one serving, but my wife said it was delicious and had the perfect balance of infused flavors.   Lil Brg 10/10 - I did not try this as it was one serving, but my best friend shared that it was delicious, the sauce added to the juiciness and the fries were really good.   Caesar Salad 10/10 - I love a good Caesar salad, and this one did not disappoint. They were sure that the dressing was infused throughout the salad and every bite was super fresh along with the delicious croutons that were not too hard or too soft.   Shrimp Scampi 10/10- The shrimp on this plate were MASSIVE and jam packed with flavor. I found myself taking multiple bites of a plate that was not mine. The parmesan matched with the other flavors they had set in this delicious dish were soooo good. My wife and best friend agreed they both could have eaten the shrimp alone if they had to because it carried so much flavor.   Beef Braised Short Rib 9/10 - The only thing that did not get this plate a perfect 10 is that I wish I had a bit more potatoes and maybe a vegetable to accompany it. What I will say is that the short rib was cooked to perfection, the potatoes were creamy and carried enough flavor that you could eat them on their own, but they also paired very well with the short rib. The short rib was tender and fell apart whenever you touched it and truthfully made for a delicious experience.   Our server closed out the night with Birthday shots for the table and then offered to take pictures of us. We had a phenomenal time, and I cannot wait to come back and try so many other things.

Do they have a kids menu?

Hi. They do not but the plates are pretty big to grab from for a kids plate

How much is the seafood tower? I hate when menus don't give you even a rough estimate of pricing.

The picture of the menu on Yelp shows $99 for the seafood tower.

As Texas transplants, we've enjoyed some incredible steakhouses over the years and have traveled extensively, but this was truly one of the best dining experiences we've had. We even drove up from Colorado Springs for our 18th wedding anniversary, and it was worth every mile. We started with the wedge salad, which was fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor--easily one of the best wedge salads we've ever had. The warm bread service was incredible and paired perfectly with the house-made spreads. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and absolutely unforgettable. The highlight of the evening was the Wagyu steak topped with cheesy potato croquettes. It was cooked to perfection and so tender it practically melted in your mouth. Every bite was packed with incredible flavor and was one of those dishes you continue talking about long after the meal is over. I will say for the oyster deal it has been good, but sometimes the oysters aren't cleaned well. Again a hit and miss. The ambiance is nice and soothing, very ocean blue. We have also tried some sides and other entrees. The shrimp entree was good but lacked some salt. The burger was amazing with the bacon jam and always have the best shoestring fries. I also got an order of the crispy rice that has a salmon and a tuna. The salmon was way too sweet and had a fishy aftertaste that I disliked. The truffle tuna was definitely the better one of the two. However, the rice itself was absolutely mushy and not necessarily crispy. It also didn't have the best flavor. Desserts tried were the olive oil orange cake and the brownie. both are OK and nice and sweet, but not something I would spend money on Overall, truly think this place is a hit and miss. Just depends on the night.

Happy hour is from 4-6 every day and the deals are great. The quesabirria and the camarones al aljillo were delicious. I have been here before for their molcajetes and those were excellent as well, and good for sharing. They do have a small covered patio area which is adjacent a busy street. Service is consistently good. One of my favorite places for a drink and a bite in the area!

Ni tuyo means not yours. Experience ni tuyo. Pork belly tacos were insanely good. Also the rib molcajete. Those two items stood out. They feature original cocktails, thoughtfully invented. Some of them blow my mind, some of them I didn't think worked very well for my preference, but all of them were unique. I value this uniqueness. Don't get for about mezcal Wednesdays. A great way to leave your comfort zone and try whatever they are featuring for a reduced price. Their variety of curated mezcal is a great way to start and make progress on your mezcal journey. There is such a variety of mezcal that I believe there is something for almost everyone. Put your trust in their bartenders to guide you on the different styles and flavors. And finally, they are a huge part of the Colorado agave collective. Monthly agave tasting. The best way to learn and appreciate.

Monday pasta nights are backkk! This was the best dinner I've had in so long! The energy and…read moreservice was just the best and sooo fun! We did the pasta night deal and everything blew me away! Loveeeed the gnocchi and the lobster stuffed mushrooms (I don't even like mushrooms and they were one of my favs)! The location is amazing! It feels like an old timey vibes and it's so welcoming! Cant wait to be back soon!

We…read morewere seated immediately despite it being so packed on a Monday night without reservations. The place is cozy, homey, and welcoming when you walk in. The concept of it being inside a home is very interesting. The food here is amazing especially their Caesar Salad. That salad was so delicious we wanted to order some to go. Now the reason why this place is getting three stars because 1. The service here is horrible! 15-25 minute wait for our server to come back around and check in on us. It wasn't just us either but it was everyone else in the room. Saw a couple that waited about 25 minutes just to be checked up on after being seated. We also never asked for our bill yet and it was given to us without us asking. We wanted to order more food after our entree. Hence why we never got to order our Caesar salad. 2. This one was the most disappointing part of our dinner. We ordered tiramisu for our dessert, once served I noticed a glossy chunky on it, assuming it was maybe crystallized sugar. Wrong. It was a chunk of ice!! The tiramisu WAS STILL FROZEN!! For 12 bucks I can get some better tiramisu at king soopers, Safeway, or any other restaurant honestly. 3. There was an ant in my drink, and we weren't compensated for that. We paid 4 dollars for an ant drink.

Yuzu Cake - fantastic texture and taste Lava Cake - was giving off unusual banana notes Definitely a place that I will return. Valet parking available as well as meter and further free street parking.

Great dinner at Toro Latin Kitchen with a large group, and everyone left happy…read more We started with the sweet corn empanadas, the clear highlight of the apps, sweet, warm, and perfectly crisp on the outside. Beef tartare was close behind, finely diced and well-seasoned. The guacamole was fresh and chunky, the prawns had a nice char, and the Amarillo ceviche brought a bright, citrusy heat from the aji amarillo peppers that balanced beautifully against the cool, tender fish. But the real highlight of the night was the steaks. My skirt steak was cooked perfectly, well-charred outside and tender inside, paired with the potatoes three ways, crispy, creamy, and roasted, each with its own texture and seasoning. Even better was the tomahawk ribeye, flambéed tableside in mezcal, a great bit of theater with a smoky, slightly sweet flame that infused the meat. I got lucky enough to try a bite. Rich, buttery, and delicious with heavy rosemary. A real treat. Service was a bit spotty for our group. I won't go into details, but our server disappeared for long stretches and it took a long time to finally get our entrees. This was likely because of our specific server.

This is a boring casual place in Denver. So I took the food to go and ate outside on a bench - a beautiful afternoon - and I went across the street and picked up two cans of white wine at Whole Foods

Well, this is a mixed review as some of my visit was good, some not so good…read more I saw this on my Yelp app shortly after I arrived in Denver, and while lobster is my favorite food, I am always a bit dubious to eating lobster in a beef eeating place like Colorado! Still, it sounded great and I made my way there with a coworker on my last day in Denver. We walked in and there was no one there, but it was past lunch. It was bright and looked like other lobster roll restaurants I have been to in Boston. We looked at the menu and both ordered the same thing- a hot Connecticut Roll with a side cup of Clam Chowder. We sat down and waited as the 2 staff prepared our food, and while we the only ones in there, every table was dirty, so we hesitatingly sat down at the cleanest one and waited. A few minutes later, they brought our food out to us, but we had to ask her to clean the table, which she quickly got a bottle of spray and a towel and wiped our table down. I dove into the Clam Chowder and was immediately disappointed- it was barely even warm, thin, watery and without flavor. I tried to spice it up with salt, pepper and hot sauce to no avail. Now, the lobster roll was a different story- bun toasted perfectly, the lobster meat layered inside with hot butter, I took a bite and was in heaven. The roll was good, so that saved the day- I would not order the chowder again, though. I sent to the bathroom to wash my hands and was immediately hit with the stench of sewer, so that was a real turnoff. This could be a 5 star place if they fixed the simple things. I would only come back here to get a lobster roll to go.
