I called to cancel my appointment at 3:00 on Friday. My appt was for 10am on Saturday. They are charging me 50% for a cancellation fee. Guess where I will not be returning!!!! There are plenty of other massage places around. Choose one of those! Let it also be known the cancellation was within 5 hours of it being a 24 hour notice -meaning I called 19 hours ahead, instead of 24 hours. Still charged me. Things happen last minute and sometimes you don't have a choice but to cancel-I mean seriously, why would I NOT want my massage? I would have taken the massage over the situation I was dealing with. Great way to lose business. Word of mouth is the best advertisement-so let me help someone else out by telling everyone how they treat their clientele. I'll dispute the charge and I will not return. I was very disappointed in the massage that I received at massage envy at the Gastonia location with Sheba. She never used both hands during my massage with exception of maybe twice the entire time. She only had one hand on me while performing my massage. It was the worst massage I've ever had, also she never dim the lights and it was quite awkward being on the table with the lights on bright. I would not recommend her and will not be going back there. read more

Very professional and has been the first to actually loosen my knots and make my experience worthwhile. Ceana is amazing too but both are in high demand! Caitlin is a wonderful aesthetician and I only patron her for my facials. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE ICE COLD ROOMS??? My last two sessions were very uncomfortable not because of the therapist but the ice box treatment room! My goodness the very last session was colder than the first horrible experience. It's unfair to the technicians when their clients cannot relax and thoroughly enjoy their service if their teeth are chattering. As a business owner myself, please do better. read more

I am soooo disappointed with the customer service here. My father bought my mother a gift card for a massage. She went in to use it on her birthday... and was told the card number was already used by somebody living in New Jersey (my parents have never even been to NJ). As the card was purchased AT the spa, my theory is that an employee stole the card number. The only other possibility is that the spa's accounts were hacked... but they've denied any knowledge of this. The spa said the location the card was used at will have the name and address of the person who used the card and that they'll look into it, but here's the kicker - THEY DIDN'T OFFER MY MOM ANYTHING to rectify the situation, even though she had her card and ID in hand. No massage, no discount... NOTHING. Even the bank refunds your money when someone steals your card. Thinking about my mother, trying not to cry, on her birthday, because someone stole the one thing she was looking forward to... it's absolutely devastating. DO. BETTER. read more

So... the massage therapists at this location are fabulous, Sharon is very sweet, India is a game-changer, the best I've ever had etc, now the front desk staff leaves something to be desired. They are not good at highlighting and explaining the many many restrictions of their program which drafts your bank account every month. Casey is the rudest and needs to move into a different industry, maybe the DMV where her rudeness and argumentative attitude would fit into the ambiance just fine! It's interesting to me that all recent reviews for this location express the same dissatisfaction in front desk and office staff. My experience mirrors the complaints of others as the customer service at this location is sorely lacking. Olivia and Casey are two of the rudest individuals that I have had the displeasure of speaking with. What should have been a ridiculously easy request of pausing my membership for just one month because of a recent surgery became an unnecessary logistical nightmare. Proper paper work and confirmation were made well in advance but what do you know... when the next month rolled around the monthly charge still processed. The staff didn't acknowledge the oversight on their part but rather stated they needed to pull camera and audio footage to make sure the request was worded properly. What?? Again, the request form was filled out properly and a confirmation was later sent to me via text message about the pause in service but now you need to clarify with your front desk staff on how it was worded. Wouldn't the request form take care of that?? Beyond ridiculous that this should even be a topic of conversation. Highly disappointed and now pretty much forced to have to use the remainder of my contract at another location because of this horrible experience. Maybe for the best anyway since I have been a member for a bit now and have yet to really find a therapist that checks all the boxes. It appears there is a high turnover in therapists here and when you finally find someone you like they have moved on. Perhaps it is because of the management team but who knows. I had an appointment tomorrow at 10am and needed to cancel because my son tested positive for Covid and I don't want to risk it, but the receptionist stated that because we were in the 24 hr cancellation window, I would be charged. I cancelled an hour and 3 minutes after 10 and she wouldn't waive it. I could just go to the appt and risk spreading it, but instead I had the to cancel. My mother-in-law got a gift card from here and someone in New Jersey somehow managed to steal the card number and use it. When she went in to use it on her birthday, the spa did nothing to compensate for their poor security system. They didn't even offer her a discount as an apology. As a business owner myself, I can't imagine not doing everything in my power to rectify a bad situation to make sure the customer is always smiling. You don't know my mother-in-law, but she's an honest woman. I'm disgusted that this spa has such bad customer service. Chris is super had to get in to see but is so worth it. His skill and energy are 100% positive healing. Alicia is the Rock Star estetician who has more knowledge, skill, and heart than anyone at a plastic surgeon's office. Alicia's treatments and recommendations have transformed my skin. My initial transfer appointment was not scheduled as hoped, but Nicole (the manager) originally was so kind and actively listened to my concerns. She made the experience for me much more pleasurable by matching me with a therapist who was skilled in my particular area of need.
