Once finished returned it to the receptionist within minutes my masseuse Nathan was ready to take me back.. he diligently went over the iPad and all the questions I had after that we proceeded. I have to say Nathan was absolutely incredible when medium pressure that I like to have was absolutely perfect. The only disappointing thing in the whole Massage was I had to get up and leave. Highly recommend Nathan. Do not go to this location!! My therapist (Charles) was running behind, so he decided to make up his time by shorting my message by 10 mins. I discussed my concerns with the front desk, they were very dismissive. Then made me feel guilty about not wanting to leave a tip. I have attempted to call the assistant manager and manager at least 4 times but they have not returned my calls and it's been 12 days. Clearly customers are not a priority! Attention consumers: Never sign a contract with Massage Envy. You will not be told verbally that you will be locked in to a 6 month or 1 year contract. It's on you to ask or read that you will be locked in. This is very important to relay to the consumer. Abhorrent business practice. Attention consumers: The owner response is not sufficient. The solution to my complaint is to cancel my membership. This contractual practice is extremely deceptive so much so that I find it repulsive. Imagine if the staff had originally said "You will be locked in to this contract for a year". I would have said, "No thank you. Had a wonderful massage from Precious today. She has many unique techniques which as a tennis player I loved and needed. She can go deep and then lighten it up in the most soothing way. I have never had my hands and feet massaged so well, plus she gets into muscles under the arm and chest that many therapists miss. And the topper was so very effective stretches of my arms and legs. She checked in with me about the pressure a few times, made sure the head rest was comfortable and her voice was beyond soothing. I also received an oxygen facial from Jenny. Ended my membership. Definitely not worth it to keep it. They raised prices to and $80 monthly fee, yet their 1 hour service is 70. When I asked what happens to the other 10 they replied that it is just kept. It cant be used as tip nor rolled over. And I was told they increased prices to force people to upgrade their services. Massages were very average. They never do glutes and even though i specify for full body most of the time they dont get to everything. They also changed their tipping system. You used to be able to just charge the card on file. Now you have to bring a card to pay. No cash accepted. And all tips are based off non membership prices starting at 20%. Massages are still not even a full hour or 90 mins. You're cheated out of 10 mins each time. Every time I've specified what needs attention they dont even bother to really work that area. Very generic massage. Not worth the cost. read more

As a busy mother, four beautiful children, one of whom is autistic if you know you know, self-care is not something I take lightly. A few years ago, I decided to treat myself to so much needed me time and joining Massage Envy as a member while I did not use my membership as as much as I would've liked. I kept it as a reminder that I deserve it. Over the last year in particular, I have consistently received excellent service from my aesthetician, Gabby and my massage therapist Jose is amazing. Their professionalism scale kindness have been a highlight of my visit. However, my experience with Victoria the manager ultimately told me to end my long-standing membership. Her attitude is opposite of what you would expect from someone in the wellness industry, her tone is often disrespectful and presumptuous. She lacks genuine care or connection for the clients. My most recent interaction with her was so unpleasant. I felt compelled to share my experience as someone who cherishes their moments of peace and relaxation. I cannot recommend a place where the manager makes you feel less than. It is often said that people will forget what you said, but they will never forget how you make them feel and Victoria has made me feel unwelcome and undervalued. If you are looking for a place to unwind and feel cared for I suggest you look elsewhere Gabi and Jose were wonderful, but management sets the tone and unfortunately the tone has made Massage Envy a place that I can no longer support. read more

RUN!! THEY WILL THREATEN YOU AND TAKE YOUR MONEY! We had a membership for about 1.5 years and realized we couldn't afford it anymore so we canceled. We were told we had like 30 days to use all the prepaid massages we had on our account which was 7. We booked those massages PER THEIR GUIDANCE then my husband was told after his final massage that he owed $70. When he explained it was the last of his PREPAID MASSAGES THEY TOLD HIM THEY WOULD CALL THE POLICE IF HE DIDN'T PAY!!! KYLIE the manager THEATENED HIM without ever talking to any of the employees that booked his massages or even the guy who was at the desk when my husband checked out. KYLIE then called the next morning and said well since you aren't a member you now owe $120!! WOW!! SO EFFED! SHE THEN THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE ON MY HUSBAND IF HE DIDN'T COME DOWN BEFORE THEY CLOSED AND PAY FOR HIS FREE MASSAGE THEY BOOKED!!! I AM MORTIFIED!!! My husband is a do-gooder and has never in his 46 years been in any trouble with the law in any way. He's such a decent man. Mostly Impressed (for once!)!!! LOL I've had a membership with Massage Envy for several years and I only recently went to the Centennial location because I now live on this side of town. *This review is for a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Thomas - however, in fairness, I'll also include comments about other ME staff. My reservation experience (over the phone) was not "exceptional", but it wasn't bad either. I had tried booking a massage with someone last month, then they tried to reschedule me because the therapist wasn't going to be there. (No, they didn't compensate me for the last minute change) Then when I tried to call back to request that same therapist, he no longer worked there. And let me just say - This is a rapid issue with Massage Envy! The minute I find a good therapist, they don't last long!!!! Like, what is going on here? Why can't you guys retain good therapists? Pay them what they are owed, keep them and keep your customers happy. When I arrived, I wasn't greeted. I just told the girl my name and appointment time and she said I could take a seat in the waiting area. (Not a stellar first impression to this new location for me) Thomas, however, was AMAZING from the Start! Greeted me in the lobby, introduced himself, asked me about my needs/wants for the massage, and just generally speaking had a great attitude and very genuine and cool vibes. He listened to my concerns and addressed the areas I requested. But when I say this was "The BEST massage I've had in years", I think I'm actually referring to his massage technique. I asked for a sports style, deep tissue massage (which is what I always request). But this is the first time a therapist has done functional movements while applying pressure (so like, my shoulders.... he rotated my shoulder in circular movements while applying pressure to various muscles in that group). Also - I just generally really liked how he used his thumbs a lot (most therapists try to protect their thumbs from overuse). And finally, I really liked how he also used his entire hand when massaging larger areas. I don't know exactly how to explain it, but there's like a psychological aspect to being massaged, right? So, when someone uses their whole hand, there's a message that says "I've got you / I'm taking care of you / I wholly care". LOL It's strange, but dang - it made a difference in my level of being able to relax and just let my brain turn off. If I'm completely fair, this is a 4 star review (I would have preferred a 4.5, but Yelp doesn't do that). Here are my "Pro-Tips" for Thomas to earn a 5 in the future: - Women typically don't feel comfortable enough to ask for more pressure, so checking in once was good, but checking in a second time once you move to a different area of the body would be AWESOME - Generally speaking, people who ask for deep tissue like REALLY deep pressure on the bottom of their feet/hands. Don't go light on those! ;) - I really liked the "pulling/stretching" of each leg and arm - I felt taller and less compression on my spine which was awesome! Definitely keep doing that for anyone with complaints of spinal pain! :D - If you want to really "wow" someone in the beginning of their session, ask them if they like the volume of the music, the temp of the bed and just double check their head rest is at a comfortable position (these are just basic touch points that show you care about their comfort) - If you notice someone with allergies sniffling, don't hesitate to offer a tissue. Even if declined, they will appreciate the offer! On my way out - the receptionist was kind, but didn't really seem to know what she was doing. The entire checkout process took like 10 minutes (payment processing with tip and scheduling another appt with Thomas). Seemed excessively long and I felt bad because there was another guest waiting to speak with her. Side note: this was the first ME location I've seen offer fresh fruit in the waiting room. I wanted to write a review to recommend my Esthetician, Gabi. I have received a series of Chemical Peels from her and have seen MAJOR results. My acne scarring is GONE and I am glowing like a GLAZED DONUT. Gabi is very knowledgeable about After Care and I did pick up the recommended Take Home Skin Care which was Collagen Hydrator and the tinted SPF by PCA. Both were under $50 and have helped me in the healing process from the Chemical Peels. In addition to the Chemical Peels Gabi hands down gives the best Facial Massage at this location.
