This review is too long overdue! Joy is amazing in her profession, she is at the top in her field of skincare with extensive knowledge and expertise on how to best take care of your skin and body. I've been regularly having facials with Joy for over two years; I originally went to seek her advice and help on my adult acne issue. When I had my very first facial in her clean and relaxing cozy environment I immediately felt at ease with her personality and true care. She inquired what products I was currently using in my skin care regimen, what my diet consisted of, and even asked if I had any changes in my laundry detergent and my sheets were the culprit. She asked that I stopped using my current skincare products and had me switch to a zinc soap for starters. I saw Joy religiously as no dramatic changes happen over night, consistency is key. And over time she slowly recommended and introduced other products into my skincare routine so my skin didn't have a shock with multiple products at once. All of the above really shows me know that she cares about the health of your skin and isn't trying to push products on you like I've experienced with previous aestheticians. I ended up booking acne facials with Joy twice a month, even when I didn't necessarily need it because it was my time to relax and pamper myself. She is so gentle with extractions on the skin, not to damage the tissue, and warns you if it might hurt (and it rarely did at that). After extractions I did a red light therapy (she has a top line red light machine) and at that point I would take a nap; she has a cozy blankets available if you would like one. I would continue to nap after the red light therapy while she applied a face mask and finished my facial. I really enjoy the way Joy gently wipes off the mask with synchronicity in one direction and doesn't wipe opposite direction where she previously cleaned the skin. That last detail really matters because I recently had to move out of state and had a new facial experience where it did not feel sincere when they wiped my skin. Joy will make you feel comfortable and important with her personality, environment, knowledge, and the way she sincerely cares about your skin and loves her job. I honestly just want to travel back to Vegas for facials and don't even want to try a new aesthetician as no one would be able to compare after my experience with Joy. Didn't mention this yet as it may have been apparent from my experience and consistent acne facials but I have not been experiencing any breakouts for so long now and this is the first time in my adult life where I feel comfortable in my own skin and I never use any foundation, only sunscreen! It's an amazing to finally feel so confident in this area of my life; and I know that with a bit of patience, consistency, and perseverance in the personalized routine Joy will help design for any new client they will feel the same way! read more

I checked out the new northwest location and it's beautiful. Huge upgrades but same amazing service by Joyce. I got my usual acne facial and tried the new red light therapy machine. Wow it was really cool. Even with your eyes closed it's really bright at first but your eyes adjust after a few minutes. Wow. Joyce is amazing! I booked an appointment online for a Deluxe Microdermabrasion facial. When I arrived for my appointment there was a consultation. She was extremely thorough and honest. She told me that microdermabrasion wouldn't work for my skin and would make it worse. We did a basic facial which was great. She also let me know about the check in deal on yelp (20% off your first visit.) Not only was she thorough during my consultation and my facial, she went above and beyond by asking me to text her the ingredients of all my skin care products and vitamins so she can let me know if there were certain ingredients that would make my skin break out more. We have been texting back and forth about different products for the past hour and I think this is very admirable. Joyce is truly great at what she does.
