I have been here a total of 3 times and after the last two experiences, i will not be returning. The first time I came here I got my introductory massage for a discounted price, which was pretty cool! First experience was nice and relaxing. Because of that experience I got my friend and I a massage package deal for Christmas. When we went they told me I had to pay an extra $50 because it wasn't my first time there. The package for the couples massage said nothing about that and the receptionist was giving me all sorts of sass. They "honored the code" and gave me and my friend the massage for the price I paid for. The third time the sassy receptionist was still giving attitude and the masseuse kept calling me by the wrong name, even after I corrected him. I have experienced a better massage at better pricing places. They say you get what you pay for, but I did not experience what it was worth. read more

I wanted to give more than 5 stars!!!. This place is AMAZING with a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Plus the staff seemed very fun and pleasant, As soon as I walk in I was greeted by a very lovely blonde women with a big smile who told me about the first time offer and all the promotions they were having. I love love LOVE the gentle giant! His name is JUSTIN!!!! I almost did not write this review because I wanted him all to myself but after my second massage (the one I got for free after signing up for a package my first visit) I had to tell someone. I have NEVER had anyone massage me the way he does. He actually listens to where your body's pain is, and he tries to work with your body to release your stress also very good pressure he can go soft as a feather or go hard as a rock. This review is for their customer service and membership (they skip out on the details to let you know about). I decided to not renew my membership after my 1 year was up, I am going to be graduating from college soon and didn't want to commit. I had 1 more massage left on my account and if you don't use them by the time your membership is over, your screwed and have lost $60, pretty sucky if you ask me for being committed to them for so long and you lose out on money if you can't make it in for a month. I then tried to transfer over my last pass and they charge you $10! I was never told I would be charged when I first signed the contract if I wanted to give one of massages as a gift. Then the person I gave it to wasn't going to have a chance to make it in before the time expired and if I wanted to transfer it back to myself I was going to be charged another $10! Even though the pass was mine to begin with. THEN I asked if I could give the credit to my mom who use to be a member there, then another policy they brought up and flew out of nowhere, they said that she had been in the last 6 months and would only be about to use 30 minutes of the credit and would have to pay $50 out of pocket for the remaining 30 minutes or the massage!!! What!? Ridiculous. I told them this policy was stupid and never was made aware of it a year ago, the girl on the phone didn't seem to care or apologize and gave me an oh well attitude, I work in customer service and if a loyal guest had a complaint or was upset with my facility I would try to do something, like comp the charge, so they'd be happy and continue as a customer. I was going to go back again to sign up for just the 3 month or 6 month membership, ones they don't tell you about by the way, a friend that works for another massage envy told me, I won't be doing that now. read more

This past Vday my boo surprised me with this place. My boo is a massage therapist & he is definitly over due for one. So my first impression of the place was comfortable, i really liked the interior, being an interior design student, & i felt that it was very relaxing. As we were escorted to ur room, our therapists were nice & professional. The room was very comfortable & i believe it cconveyed relaxation & serenity. As our session started the lights were dimmed which i really liked.I requested light pressure just to be safe but i did feel like more pressure was needed. I also noticed tha my therapist didn't pay as much attention to my needy places-shoulders, neck, back- as i had expressed to her prior to my session. My boo has expressed that his therapist was not very fluid & was doing some different moves. In all i did enjoy my massage, i just think that i might be a little more critical because my boyfriend is a massage therapist, too. The only big negative we did have was one of the receptionist. She was very rude to us & didn't make us feel welcomed at all. saw a beautiful and inviting lobby when i had dinner at sushi maru (and the price is right $49 for 1 hour), so i booked an appointment. i had a 1-hour deep tissue massage. it was very good. the ambience was excellent, comfortable furniture, really cool water feature in lobby, very cozy, warm and inviting. not at all what i expected in a strip mall. the owner is very nice. the front desk staff attentive and friendly. the massage therapist was knowledgable. i purchased the membership. this is the best looking and best staffed massage envy i've seen. i felt very well cared for. i worked for five years at an upscale wellness resort and although this place is not the same business model as that, you definitely get more than what you pay for. read more

I have been here before over the last two years and have always had a decent massage. However I have returned more regularly and received my first hot stone massage. Debbie is the best massage therapist I have ever had ANYWHERE. Not only did she give me my first hot stone massage, but she is just a great masseuse. For me, the pressure she uses is perfect. She is kind, and professional. I will be following her to the ends of the earth now that I've found her. I highly suggest you book with Debbie. If you have never had a hot stone massage, I also recommend that too. For you ladies who often have cold feet or hands, this is just a yummy massage. If I could give this location a rating of zero stars I would. First of all, I booked two upgraded massages, one aromatherapy and one deep tissue massage. The front desk girl forgot to tell the therapist this, and then said "oops. I forgot" on checkout when I brought this to her attention. Secondly, there was a probelm at checkout and the manager's response was incredibly rude. I wish I read the review for this place before I booked for an appointment for me and my sister. This is the worse massage experience I've ever had. First off, We came in 10 min early and was greeted by an unfriendly receptionist, second we took about 20 min for the paper work and unnecessary questions since everything was already answered on the paper. The entire massage session was done in 44 min. Instead of 60 min. And when I told the receptionist about that she informed me that because of the paper work that's why it cut short. So, for the initial $49.00 for first time customer, I would recommend to go somewhere else and pay a little more, at least you will go home happy and satisfied rather than go home mad and regretful that you went to this place. I have had the most incredible experience with this location! I purchased a membership through one of their great associates, Savannah, and I haven't looked back since! Their customer service is unlike any other location I have gone to. They are so accommodating and knowledgable, so much so that I have had to contact their location to have my questions answered because others were unable to. I have been going to this place for several months now. I tried many of the therapists until I found absolute perfection with Julia! She is just amazing. I have an extremely stressful life and every time I go in, I leave pain free. I was thinking of canceling my membership but because of Julia I will keep it. In fact I go in several times a month. Her technique is pure MAGIC. And she is a sweetheart to boot... not cold and impersonal like so many others I have experienced. Even though times are tight ...I cant quit because of Julia. Consumers Beware!!! I have been to many day spas, etc and this one is definitely at the bottom of the list. As pointed out by other low reviewers, the office staff upfront are very young, inexperienced, and rude-definitely an undesireable combination. In addition, I am pretty relaxed and easy to please so if I am irritated by behavior it has to be extreme. I purchased a two hour massage gift card for my wife for $100. When she went to redeem it she only wanted a one hour massage and wanted to come back another day for the other hour. They told her if she did that the second hour would be $98. What a sham! I feel if I buy two hours of massage for $100 I should get two hours for that price, and not more if I want to come back again. Very misleading and downright sneaky business practices. My experience at this place matches with the poor reviews here. The owner Jeff just scammed me out of $60, citing "policy". I took their 3 month membership for $180, and I had just 2 massages and forgot to cancel an appointment. He flat out refused to give another message or reimburse or charge a lesser amount for the next one. Their policy is also supposedly to call me 5 minutes into a missed appointment, which never happened. I guess he chooses which policy he wants to scam his customers with. Do not recommend this place. After reading some of the reviews and as a customer I'm sure there are more positive than negative things happening at this clinic. Unfortunately, the positively happy customers are not posting. Well I would like to begin by saying that I have had nothing but positive experiences each time I receive a massage at this clinic. Remember sometimes we as customers arrive with bad attitudes. I personally have seen some really rude customers at this clinic, who arrived angry for what appeared to be from a long tiring day at work. I felt sorry for the therapist who had to massage that customer. The Therapist's work hard and i''m sure massage is not an easy profession, I know I could not do it!. We as customers need to check our attitudes at the door and if we don't like the massage. Instead of bad mouthing the therapist just don't tip him or her and try different therapists until we find the right one that fits our needs. This place is always clean, and I have always have been treated kindly by the staff. I think with all businesses, you need to find the right therapists, as everyone is different. If I could give a negative star, I would! This location is a TOTAL joke! I booked a couples massage for my wedding anniversary (over a week in advance, mind you.) The appointment was booked AND CONFIRMED with Erika. Then FOUR DAYS before our scheduled appointment Erika called to inform me that "The person who booked the appointment (being her) wasn't aware the couple's room was booked for another appointment. Would I mind having individual massages instead?" Ummm, hello? I told her this was not what I had requested when I booked the previous week before and why did it take her a week to contact me with this booking "conflict"? I informed her that we had arranged our entire anniversary plans AROUND this couples massage. She gave me a feeble apology and we ended the call. I then realized it was in fact her that booked and confirmed the appointment and called back...asked to speak to the manager. Of course the manager was on vacation until the following Monday. I've since tried contacting the manager (Stephanie) 3 times....leaving a message with Ms. Erika, on the general voicemail and again with the front desk clerk again today (3 days later) with no response. Very nice place! I went to Nina and she was wonderful. She did an amazing job and after my massage I felt completely relaxed! She's a small lady but don't underestimate her. She uses just enough pressure and just let her know if you need more or less and she'll cater to your needs. She really cares about her customers. I would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone! I did not like this place for several reasons: 1. The massage has not even started yet and the manager is so focus on selling the membership. People who go to massage places usually go for serenity and relaxation. Instead of the manager focusing on making the customers feel relaxed and at ease, he focused more on the business side of things, money! He introduced the massage memberships and mentioned how affordable it is to have an account with Massage Envy! He could have brought that up after the massage! And for some reason I cannot explain, the manager lacked personality for the job. He seemed cold and more interested in selling his product rather than taking care of his customer(s). 2. The massage therapist was ok. She was breathing heavily during the delivery of her service and I could hear her yawn. It seemed as if she was sleepy while administering the massage. I am not going to give her name out to show her respect. 3. The therapist does not seem to know or understand the type of massage she is administering. When asked what techniques she was using, she did not respond. 4. The therapist turned the relaxing music on in the middle of the massage treatment, 30 minutes later. "Let me turn on the music." She has forgotten. OK, I will not complain about that any further since its a simple human error. 5. The price is not reasonable. Fifty dollars or something dollars for 1 hour and a signage that says 15% gratuity. It is not worth the price for that service. I always give a tip whether I am satisfied or not with the service, but why is there a signage for gratuity that says the exact percentages on what you should give in relation to the service rendered? It does not seem appropriate. All you get at the end is water! I expect at least a nice relaxing tea for that price! 6. After the massage, I needed to use the bathroom. I have to ask one of the staffs to turn on the light. The light seemed broken. I was in a dark room trying to find the light switch and I almost had fall. Horrible! I had to use the unisex bathroom. I regret what I told the receptionist after the massage. She asked how the massage went, but I said that it was good. I was being nice since the therapist was present. I was being too nice. I did not want to hurt her feelings. I figured I will not go back to that place again, so it did not matter. I am writing this so that the manager and her staff can learn from it and hopefully make the delivery of their services better. If that does not happen maybe the future customers can read and find it useful. I have nothing against Massage Envy. I have been going here, and other Massage Envy locations for many years. I have found that if you get a good therapist, it is a good place to go for full body massage. I found that once the therapist knows what you expect, the massage is usually good. Sometimes the connection doesn't work, however, so you do take a chance for your first time or two. I would like to mention that they did have a few receptionist issues that have been resolved over the past year. I was there this weekend. I had my massage with Nina. I booked it with Nina only becasue I was reading the reviews on "Yelp" and how everyone was saying how good she is. Well... here's my take on her. She asked me where I want ed her to focus on. I said my LOWER BACK. I been getting back pain. So she started to massage me from my foot first, which I thought was odd. I had massages done before.. but they usually start from my neck and work their way down. Anyway .. she spends like 20minutes on foot/calf and about 10 minutes on my lower back and another 10 on my neck/shoulder. The session ended 10 minutes before my 1 hour. Let just say...when she was done with me. I was not satisfied. I feel like I didn't even get my massage. What a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT THAT WAS! She wasn't evening listening to her client. This place is such a scam and does nothing but tries to rip you off!! I call to make an appointment because I received a gift card. I told the girl on the phone that I have a gift card for $125.00 plus a 30-minute upgrade. I also told her I want someone who can do a deep tissue massage. She schedules me for two weeks later. I arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork like I was asked to do so. The massage therapist had no idea what I was talking about but she could not do the extra 30-minute upgrade due to the fact she had to back to back appointments. Now in order to get the 30minute upgrade, I would have to come back and that would be another $105 dollars and not the introductory $60.00 massage so I would have to pay the difference because I still had 60.00 on my gift card. I feel like this was nothing but a sham to get more money out of me and the massage sucked!! I went to this place after a long day. I was very tired and actually fell asleep during the massage. A massage which by the was started 15 minutes late and ended 5 minutes early. Anyhow, I felt very relaxed and groggy after wards and as I am paying the receptionist sells me on signing up for a membership which I was told I could cancel at any time. Three business days later I called in to cancel and was told that they would not cancel the membership because it was not 3 business days. It was calendar days. Now I am no legal expert but when you are signing a contract with a business, 3 days to the common individual is 3 business days. The owner/manager was very stern and all but called me stupid. Saying that a contract is a contract and you should have read it. Granted, that may be true but in my years of customer service, it is a bad sign when a business cares more about their bottom line for the month than their reputation. This incident obviously leaves me hesitant to refer any of my friends and family and has caused me to look for other places like Yelp to warn folks from going there. Do some googling on Massage Envy Contracts and you will find countless posts of upset customers giving examples of poor services and poor customer service. read more

I do not recommend you go to this location at all. The therapist are good however the reception staff and manager Jeff do not posses customer service and do not know what they are doing or how to treat and keep their customers. I and my hasband signed up for a menbership and were told that you could canceled it within 3 days. I canceled my husband's and kept mine, however they kept on charging our credit card for both memberships and when I contacted them they told me that some how 2 files had been created and that one of them was not canceled but that they were going to fix the problem and refund the money. WELL 3 MONTHS LATER AND THEY ARE STILL CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD AND WHEN I SPEAK TO JEFF(THE OWNER HE SAYS HE CAN NOT REFUND MY MONEY WHEN THEY ARE CHARGING ME AFTER THEY MADE THIS ERROR) WHAT KIND OF S*** IS THAT) HE BETTER REFUND MY MONEY OR I WILL CONTACT MY LAWYER, THE FDA OR WHOEVER I HAVE TO GET MY MONEY BACK FROM THESE PEOPLE THAT ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS RIP YOU OFF. I am middle of the same experience with a lot of reviews I am reading about Jeff and how difficult he makes it to cancel the membership. I talked to him a month ago and even dropped off a signed letter as he said, and as described on Massage Envy website. A month later, I see they still charged my card and when I called, the office person told me that there is no record of my letter, She basically called me a liar. I dropped off another letter now on a Saturday and guess what, Jeff does not come to he office on weekend (what a way to run a business) and I am told he will call me on Monday. I had already talked to Jeff over a month ago and he is the one who instructed me to drop off the letter. I don't know why he needs to call me again. There is no way to even contact the corporate franchise office and complain. What can we do to warn everyone NOT to go to this place. I wish I had read Yelp before I signed up 18 months ago.
