I had called and set up 10 massage appointments and pre paid. I ended up having an unexpected trip to Chicago, the Massage Envy location there was helpful and assisted me in 3 massages! I come in for my appointment and was pulled back by my VERY RUDE masseuse; she claimed they don't do "that type of massage". I was booked wrong and I needed to leave because that was not her fault the receptionist booked wrong. She knew it was booked wrong and told the front end and said they messed up. She walked be back up to the front to find out they all of a sudden canceled my remaining 7 massages WITHOUT notice. They scheduled me for an appointment that I had NOT agreed upon. I was told and given information to book somewhere else that does the lymph massages. That is not with Massage Envy, this was not disclosed when I spent a half hour booking 10 appointments. I told them just to cancel everything and I'll go somewhere else, since that was my only choice. I was given ONE free massage for their mix up. I was not able to get in anywhere to get a massage that I needed for months thar affected my healing processes. And had to have follow up care with my PCP.... Now I'm months later, ready to use this one free massage they gave me. I CANT USE IT!!! since THEY canceled my massages that they lied about being able to do, costing me great financial issues. I need to buy a new membership to use their complimentary massage. SCAM. I ended up booking a private massage therapist from google sear Phenix Massage ! Look them up and book them. They care for their patients. They also don't have tacky tip sheets all over the office asking for tips. Their work alone has you tipping. read more

I had called the day before just to confirm all the appointments and they told me that they had 2 of them schedule the other they had canceled and never contacted me about it. I was told I had one more massage in my massage package deal to use, but when I finished the appointment, I was told to pay the full price of $125 and that I had no more massages left. The manager did not acknowledge the mistake, and told me that I was the one at fault for not making sure, even though I specifically asked if I had massages left. Manager did not seem to care & tried to upsell me by selling me another package. Not a fun/relaxing day when you pay $125 that you thought you didn't have to because a business does not know how to communicate effectively. You can't buy happiness, but you can buy a massage! Everyone KNEADS a massage lol! Massage Envy (ME) is my go-to place to get a massage due to my busy/on-the-go lifestyle. As a franchised chain with several locations around town, scheduling an appointment have never been easier! If you are a member of ME, you must download their app - it allows you to select location, time of appointment, and the massage therapist of your choice! There are usually tons of time slots open if you schedule just one day ahead. I haven't had luck trying to get in the day of due to this busy location. However, the other ME locations such as the one in Maple or La Vista are usually less busy and will have appointment openings the day of. With the ME app, your massage therapist already know which area to focus on, and the pressure level you prefer with the profile you created on the app so they don't need to ask you every time. The cost for a 1 hour massage is $75 without a membership ($65 for members).However, all session times include a 10 min for consultation and dressing, so you are only getting 50 min. for $65 (plus a tip at a non-member rate of $75). They have a tipping guide poster in every room, I think $14 or more is what they recommend for gratitude. Although it is easy to schedule an appointment, the quality of your massage really depends on the massage therapist you get. Everyone has different techniques. I would say I get a good massage 75% of the time...and 25% of the time, I either get destroyed by heavy-handed ladies or leave feeling like they been painting/brushing my body like a blank canvas lol. For my birthday, my boyfriend purchased us a couples massage. As someone who frequently suffers from back and neck pain, I was delighted! Much to my dismay, the massage therapist I was assigned was obviously inexperienced. While massage therapists always warn of slight soreness, I had deep bruising in my lower back area from incorrectly applied pressure. I contacted the manager at Massage Envy who was extremely apologetic and rescheduled me with someone else saying she would "take care of this visit". While the massage was much better, she had lead me to believe it would be at no charge. However, she had left for the day and told her staff to give me a 30% discount. Not at all sufficient considering the pain and misery of the previous visit. If you are looking for a great massage, there are plenty of places in Omaha. I received a massage at Aksarben on August 8, 2019. The massage was for 90 minutes and was very good. The cost was the shocker. Before making the appointment, I checked listed prices at various places and the $83 at Aksarben was in line. After the massage my wife paid the bill. I didn't see the bill, which was for $143 plus tax, until the following day. (On rechecking the website I saw there was a small asterisk that I did not originally see, denoting "introductory".) Introductory was not explained on the website, when making the appointment or when checking in for the massage. I had received a massage from an Envy site in Reno two months previously, so "introductory" did not apply. Management informed me that they had their policies. So I have a membership, and I happen to live by this location so this is the location I normally come to, on the last few visits, I've been walking away feeling worst than when I went in. I'm very fragile, lol, or just weak, but I like my massages very light, NO Heavy pressure, my problem is that lately I've been getting these heavy handed ladies that leave me in pain and bruises, like seriously you're not suppose to massage a persons spine, I'm sure they were taught that in school, I've got to try a new location. My BIGGEST problem with this location is that, they're NEVER on TIME, if I'm paying for a 60 minute massage, I don't expect 50 minutes, I expect 60. We got inside and first off we instantly felt awkward because of the man who was talking to us at the begining of the session and trying to sell us product right off the bat. This is the only place I've been to get a massage! Every time I go I'm always greeted with a smile and great customer service. I love places that pride their businesses on treating customers with grear respect!It's just comfortable there and welcoming. They check you in and ask if there's anything they can do to make the visit better. My wife is a member here so I get discounts on massages. Which is a plus for me. She loves going here so I like to tag along sometimes. The person giving me my massage was Cynthia! She stated that she has been with the company for 1.5 years. She's the BEST THE END. No really, I've been here I think 3 times now and she has really been the best I've had. I went with medium and deep tissue massage and she really hit the spots I knew I needed worked on. It was my first massage and I work at a hospital where I constantly have stress on my back/lower back, they asked me my problem areas and I told them. Well literally my back was touched like once and the majority of the time my shoulders were rubbed. Her hands were kind of cold and I didn't feel comfortable with her at all - I was reluctant to turn over at one point at her request (I was afraid she'd see what I didn't want her to see) as I'm a very modest person and she seemed impatient with me. I booked my husband and I am massage five days in advance. My husband's massage was a 90 minute " custom"my massage was at hour custom. when we got to Massage Envy my husband was checked in first as I was sitting there his therapist came out complaining that my husband did not want elbow massage or forearm massage. If you have ever been to a massage envy you understand that they are the only ones that use the elbow to get deep tissue instead of the strength of their hands this causes a lot of damage because they cannot regulate the feel of the muscle through their elbow they just put pressure and lean in and massage. My husband and I have both been hurt with this method of massage. As I was sitting there listening to the therapist complain about my husband's request I was introduced to my therapist who was male not female as I had requested. I initially signed up at this location formally on Dodge in 2010. I have maintained my membership since that time. Last year, Massage Envy increased its monthly fee from $49.00 to $65.00 a month. I called because the notice only stated your fee would be increased but it was not immediately clear by how much. Fast forward, I had quite a few prepaid sessions that I had not used so I have a friend coming into town who has never had a massage so I asked to transfer some to her. There is a fee that I asked could be waived and the manager on duty did waive the $10.00 fee. Good deal! But what was unnerving was the fact that I had 6 prepaid on my account and just wanted to give my best friend a 90 minute massage and I was told that it's a corporate policy that would not allow me to transfer more than one session a month. I had done this only one other time in 2014. What concerns me is that I don't regularly transfer however; these sessions have already been paid for by me so I guess I'm a little frustrated because they are mine and I should be able to request this type of transfer. So I am not happy with the corporate policy because it appears to limit a person's ability to use what they have already paid for prior. So I just wanted to write out this review because I do not care for this policy. The policy should be changed especially when membership fees were presented as grandfathered in however; was later increased so corporate can do that they should allow members to use their prepaid for transfer without placing such a restriction on it. read more

My husband and I are both members and have been going to Massage Envy at Rockbrook on a monthly basis for the last three years. Before that, I would go to salons or spas to get my massages. We decided that, for a $45 one hour massage, you can't beat Massage Envy. I think this location is one of the more professional in the the Omaha area. At other locations I had to listen to the front desk staff talk loudly about their personal lives and say negative things about the therapists. As far as the therapists are concerned, one must keep in mind that not all therapists are created equally. We have had some less than ideal ones, and we just ask to not have those therapists in the future. When I've gone to spas in the past, I have had horrible massages, and had to pay $100 dollars for them. What I'm trying to say is, one is probably just as likely to get a bad massage from Massage Envy than they are from anywhere else. I have never had the negative experiences that the last two reviewers have mentioned, but I think I would probably say something to the manager if I were covered in bruises! It's also important to talk to to your therapist. If something hurts, tell them! They aren't mind readers. Over the last three years that I have gone to Massage Envy, I have had some excellent massages. Usually, I try to remember the names of therapists that have done a particularly good job, and ask for them in the future. If you ask for a therapist by name, they get a couple extra dollars. Remember, Massage Envy therapists only get about $13/hour and no employee benefits, so they rely on your tips! I only have to pay $45, but I tip like I would if I went to a salon and got a $100 massage. Also, if they book you for a one hour session, that is actually a 50 minute "hands on time" frame. It seems deceitful, but it's done so the therapist has enough time to clean up the room and meet with the next client, and be on time. Remember, these therapists are only getting $13/hr, and you are only paying around $45, so cut them some slack. If you want 60 minutes instead of 50 minutes "hands on time", you are free to pay an extra $55 dollars for those extra ten minutes, and go to another location. read more
