Zach is my boy! I absolutely LOVE Zach's work. As a massage therapist myself, I struggle to find a good bodyworker to help me with ALL my issues. Ive got very tight hips that affect my front and backside core to the point where I feel pain daily. Finding someone to help give me some kind of relief has definitely been tough. I've worked with a few therapists from this place so far (they're all good), but zach by far is my favorite go-to. But anyways my therapist was DJ he was pretty helpful with what needed to be done due to my neck pain, I was given suggestions and what oil to try and so far I could say it helped and the pain subsided. I used to go to another place but they have been closed for awhile due to the pandemic so i decided to try Massage Matters today I really like the place and decided to join there membership today ! I can still have an amazing experience elsewhere even with a cancellation policy involved, the problem is how it's handed. I'm so happy I found this place! Stef is my go to massage therapist and she rocks. My boyfriend and I see her monthly and she has helped us both with problem areas. Stef is professional, very skilled and I always feel comfortable. I can already see improvement in how my body feels. My therapist Alex is the best. I came in to relieve stress from work along with some aches and pains I get from riding a motorcycle. His ability to pinpoint and release tension from muscles and knots around the body is extremely effective. Massage Matters has been a great place for a long time, unfortunately the quality of service has changed. People are what make an great organization great and unfortunately the quality of therapists and the quality of customer service with front desk staff has sadly gone down hill. There are a handful of therapists that are good, but good people have came and left. I would recommend that you give Massage Matters a try before you commit to a monthly membership. Make sure that you know and understand your membership policy before you sign up. Keep in mind that you have 24 hours to cancel an appointment and will be charged for 100% of the massage if you don't show up. In the 3 years I have been a member, I have never missed a booked and confirmed appointment. Communication was good and staff were friendly and intentional. I learned the hard way that "text messages are sent as a courtesy but not required" and as a result I missed my appointment. I am canceling my membership due to the abrasive nature of this conversation and passive aggressive communication with staff. I attempted to resolve this situation before posting on Yelp but there was no effort from management to work with me and as a result it is time for me to move on and take my business somewhere else. Massage Matters has canceled my last 2 appointments the day of, and offered a rebooking but barely received an apology or compensation for the inconvenience. Ho-ly sh**. I just had the best deep tissue massage ever.... and it's soooo hard to find a masseuse with the "it factor". I strongly feel like it's not something that can be learned because most people don't have it... no matter how many years of experience they have! And Zina has it! It was a little awkward at first because she called me the wrong name, the front desk girl looked alarmed over this, but inconsequential! With that massage, doesn't matter what she calls me, she can call me whatever she wants! Zina immigrated from Spain, English isn't her first language and maybe she was a little nervous. I later found out talking to the receptionist that I was her first client at Massage Matters on her first day there. Another thing I loved: Zina said she wasn't going to talk during the massage to help me relax. Amazing. She wasn't completely silent; she tactfully allowed me to control the level of conversation. I do notice these details! She saw I was there to relax, not to have my ear talked off, and I appreciated that. She said she was at the Pelican Hill resort just prior... I'm sure she's had her share of high maintenance clients! Well, I locked myself into a membership today and scheduled my next appointment with Zina because I was so f-ing mind blown! read more

Writing this review a little late as I haven't gone to massage matters in a few months now. Let me first start by saying that I have seen 2 different massage therapists at this location and Ruben, who ended up being my main therapist, is great. I bodybuild and powerlift as a hobby and have dealt with chronic pain issues for years. He was able to listen to my issues and his massages were exactly what I needed. They didn't fix everything but made a lot of my chronic pain lessen. If the review was only for him I would give 5 stars. My issue with the company is pure front desk customer service and management. Which I take very seriously and is just as important as the other services. We as customers can take our money anywhere and for them to treat you like a number and not a person, especially on a service like massage and other therapies, is unacceptable. These are health related services and also personal because you are trusting them with your body. How do you think they would handle it if you accidentally got hurt during a session? Especially as just a number to them? So the issue, there was a discrepancy on my billing were I owned more money then I thought I did, since I had the monthly membership and these credits roll over every month you don't use them. I asked why this discrepancy was there and was not provided a clear answer. My assumption obviously was that they charged me for a massage I never went to. So I asked to speak to a manager. Again, instead of giving me a clear answer the manager didn't even try to call me and just emailed me a copy of every single billing statement they ever charged me. So I had to go thru all of these myself. I told them that was quite ridiculous and I was unhappy with the service and would like to cancel my membership. Instead of trying to apologize and go thru the billing with me they just said, "sure" we will send you a cancellation form. So again, still had to go out of my way to do the paperwork to even cancel. Finally, when I said I would be providing a review online they tried to save face and give me additional information and a subpar apology, but still tried to make excuses saying they did try and call me back to explain and I didn't pick up. Well, I don't pick up unknown numbers and they didn't leave a voicemail. So was this true? Even if it was, it was after I said to cancel my account not before that. Finally I was able to speak with them and they clarified that they used all accumulated rollover credits for my last massage instead of only applying part of it as they had been for months. Which would of been fine if they told me, but I also never authorized this. After all this, they couldn't cancel my membership right away and said it would have to be processed in the next billing cycle. Meaning I had to pay an extra month I didn't want. When I went in for my last massage in that month still no apology, no effort to try and keep me as a customer and show that they value me as a customer. So, just be aware, they will treat you like a number here. Ruben is a great therapist, the other guy I saw wasn't good. So hit and miss with the massage therapy and front desk and management don't care about you. read more

I have been seeing Lillian for several years now, and she is amazing! I started at the other place that she works, but moved over to this location when I moved. I have always been hesitant to write a review saying how great she is because I worry that I won't be able to get in when I need as historically she has booked up quickly once people realize how awesome she is at her job! I have been struggling with migraines, and spent literally thousands of dollars in trying to mitigate them. What I realized was that, dollar for dollar, I get more relief from a massage with Lillian than any drug, injection, PT or chiropractic adjustment.
