Michelle has recently transferred from a Pittsford Medi-Spa location and is doing facials here. I have snapped a pic of her card. On the website all their services are listed and I highly recommend a Chemical/Enzyme peel with Michelle. I purchased an online deal for a resurfacing facial which included cleansing, extractions, mechanical exfoliation (I chose Microdermabrasion) and then the carefully chosen peel for your skin type and results that you are looking for. Michelle takes her time to review your skin type, initial paperwork and is very detailed, meticulous with her work and really wants to get you great results. I had a laser hair removal service from Terri in 2019 ( I keep receiving emails every year for the appointment reminders?) I bought a Groupon and chose to do my armpits. I previously had laser hair removal on my bikini line at a medical spa. I was advised to shave right before my appointments at that medical spa. Terri told me not to shave for a few days before. Which doesn't make sense because the laser targets the dark follicle under the skin to kill the hair so it won't grow back. I hesitantly followed her direction. Once I shaved 1-2 days before and she was not pleased with me. She never really spoke to me during my treatments and they hurt because the laser was burning my longer armpit hairs and not the follicle. She had a pretty cold personality towards me every appointment. I had 0% reduction in my hair growth. I am currently having it redone at another medical spa. My bikini line I had done somewhere else has had no regrowth (it's been 4 years). So either she is not properly trained in laser hair removal or she wants people to go for an unnecessary amount of appointments and have painful hair removal by asking clients not to shave. Possibly she has changed her ways in the last 2 years but I am just advising others that you need to shave before laser hair removal, at least within 12 hours before your appointment or it won't work. My current laser spa will send clients home if they have not shaved - so it's that important. I've been meaning to write this review for so long but I seem to only remember while I'm shaving my armpits. read more

I was home visiting my family in Rochester when, after a long international flight, I found myself in desperate need of a massage. Thankfully, my sister recommended Susan Blease at Massage on University. I'm currently pregnant and have a complicated history but Susan is so very knowledgeable that she immediately put me at ease. She is clearly very experienced and loves what she does. Not only did I have one of the best massages I've ever had, she gave me some tips on what to do at home to keep my issue at bay. I immediately made a second appointment for the following week, hoping that I can try to clear up the issue as much as possible before I have to fly back home. I highly recommend Massage on University and in particular, a massage with Susan Blease. The next time I'm in Rochester, I'll be sure to book another appointment. read more

Despite their awesome location, I found Massage on University Groupon. I am so outstandly pleased with Terri's service that I've signed up for more treatments. The space is beautiful, and quiet. Terri goes above and beyond, she does more than she has to, but at the same time the appointments are quick so I don't have to feel stressed out about adding them to my schedule. Terri is an awesome massage therapist! I went to her for issues with my back and shoulder and she made me feel like I had a new body when I left. She was professional, her place is relaxing (very zen), and I felt absolutely comfortable and relaxed. Plus her prices are very, very reasonable. My husband bought me a groupon for a facial with Danielle. When I called to schedule an appointment, she told me she was booked months ahead (way way after the groupon would expire) but she was very sweet and understanding and scheduled me in. The day finally came and as I arrived to M on U I was greeted with the fantastic smell of coffee from Joe Bean which is located just downstairs. The facial itself was very calming and it felt great to de-stress after a long week. Danielle was very professional and sweet and I walked out with my skin glowing. Terri is very unprofessional. I missed an appointment and when I paid upfront for the 5 treatments, she said because I missed the appointment that I "lose" one and can't reschedule if missed. I can reschedule for one of my other treatments I have left, but still lose one that I can't get back out of the 5. She made me uncomfortable and I wouldn't go back - at least not to have her. If I would've looked into it more I wouldn't have came to this place at all for any treatments. I now booked an appt for ideal image. Terri was an EXTREMELY unfriendly person who did my laser service. Made me feel like I was inconveniencing her the entire time. Started out by telling me I needed to go back to my car to retrieve the paper work I had forgotten in my car, which was really just signed consent forms. ( it was cold and snowing and very icy out, parking was not close) Why she didn't just offer the forms for me to resign in the office must of been to much trouble for her. Asked if I had a tank top on and when I responded no, seemed extremely annoyed, and responded well do you want a towel than? Didn't bother to ask if I was ok during the treatment. Didn't offer any aloe or cooling gel when I was done. Then the lovely attitude continued when I was done as she proceeded to start to wipe the towel off that had gotten damp because of my boots while I was still on the table. ( I had boots on, there was no place to take them off and she certainly didn't offer an alternative) Wont be going back there to use my remaining 2 pre paid laser treatments. Perhaps if you are of the Caucasian persuasion you will have better treatment! read more
