The mechanic had my car running in a half hour, after extensive personal testing of the entire ignition system (autozone said ign coil was fine). Bob (and Mike Jr) saw a weak spark, and pointed finger at the ign coil! After replacing the coil she runs / starts great. If that hadn't fixed it, they were willing to return part and put labor towards the fix. Very experienced people! Used cars go here before you buy! read more

Took my beater truck here to get a strange noise checked out. Bob was super easy going, flexible, and the complete opposite of pushy. He found a few problems with the truck and told me they would likely cost more than I may want to spend on a vehicle of little value. He left the decision up to me and wasn't upset or bothered in the slightest when I opted to not have the repairs done. I can't testify the quality of their work since I didn't actually have any done, but the professionalism and honesty displayed by Bob was enough to motivate me to write this review. What HONEST guys! This is the only place I will take my car now. I was having power steering pump noises and went to several places that told me I needed to replace the pump and give me price estimates of $350-450. When I took the car to Ray at Master Automotive he asked me if I was having steering difficulties or if it felt real heavy I said nope not at all was just making an annoying sound. He replied in all his years working on cars he has only had to replace 2 Honda power steering pumps and both of them you could almost not steer the car, and he thinks he knows what the problem was. Left my car there couple hours later I get a call yup we found the problem... the power steering pump is still working great it was the $5 silicone O-ring inside the pump it had deteriorated and was allowing air into the pump. Ever since that day they have earned my business for anything auto related. Another time when the rear main engine seal was leaking Ray told me they could do it but they would probably be more expensive since they have to remove the transmission to do the work, something they can do but would take several hours where a transmission place could do it in 1 probably he then recommended 2 places and even provided me with coupons for those places. I have a very old car that failed a smog test. I called different shops to get quotes on what it would cost to figure out what was wrong, and Master Automotive gave me the lowest price at $180 so I took the car there. At the end of the day they returned it to me after not only fixing the problem, but also taking it back to the smog test station themselves and having it retested. They only charged me $170 for the entire fix including the second smog test. Since the car is so old, I had been expecting that it would need major repairs to ever have hope of passing a smog test. This shop is always amazing!! They are always straight with you and don't over charge you like the dealers. Ray always has taken care of our family cars. For example: I called him on a Wednesday and needed my back breaks done. I told him the only day I could do it was Friday. He said not a problem. I dropped my car off Thursday night after closing and by 9am the next day it was done. Ray said he knew they had a busy day on Friday and didn't want me to be without my car (since I have 4 kids). He said he came in early to get it done for me. What auto shop does that? I have never found one until now. They care about their customers. I would recommend them to everyone!!! read more

My 2007 Honda Odyssey A/C stopped blowing cold air right in the middle of a heat wave! I called "TheDealershipWhoShallNotBeNamed" and as usual, the person who answered the phone seemed annoyed, and the Service Dept. seemed annoyed AND wanted lots of money to look at car, and said A/C problems were very expensive. So I looked on Yelp, and although they only had 9 reviews, Master Automotives supporters seemed honest and believable. I called and explained my problem, and they said I could drop my car off at night and leave the key in the door. They called me next morning, told me what the car needed in detail and answered all my questions. The estimate was fair and reasonable. I spoke with both Ray and Bob, and both of them were so nice! My car was ready that day! A/C was cold, car was fixed at reasonable price, and the best part of all is I have a place to take my car for repair with really nice qualified people that I can trust!! The only downside is they aren't open on weekends but their care more than makes up for it.
