This review is for the first one, a bedroom ceiling/roof leak that needed mold mitigation, asbestos testing and renovation. March 2025: Leak originally started as a moisture spot on the ceiling in October 2024 but my HOA ignored it. By March 2025, the ceiling had become so compromised that water streamed in like a waterfall during a massive storm. My original contact was Noah - he gave me an estimate (along with two other companies). I really appreciated how Noah was communicative, informative and thorough. And! he didn't badger me w/ phone calls & emails, like the other two companies did. He understood that I said I would take care of the situation when I could b/c I was in the middle of Massage Therapy school. I understood the "risks" of having mold & just shut the bedroom off. Fast forward to August 2025 & now we're ready to take care of the situation. Noah followed protocol of getting an asbestos test first. Luckily, it was negative. Then Spencer, their Mitigation Specialist? built a special containment room, inside the guest bedroom that sealed off the contaminated area. Heavy duty fans stayed on for about 72 hours? so the area could be thoroughly dried after being treated w/ some kind of mold treatment. Noah was available via text when I had questions - that was surprising & super helpful! Once Mitigation was completed, Noah connected me w/ Jacob at their Restoration Department. He sent over a stellar crew led by David & they proceeded to rebuild about a quarter of the bedroom - meant to mention that they had to rip out dry wall, scaffolding, etc. This crew rebuilt and then refinished the area, including re-installing wainscotting and painting the ceiling + walls. The results? This bedroom looks gorgeous! We were thrilled with how thorough/smooth ATH was w/ this process & how the renovation turned out. We learned the hard way that many companies make big promises just to win your business. In our case, we had over $500,000 in fire and water damage, and it seemed like everyone else was more concerned about their profit margins than helping us. Some even tried to play games with the insurance company by requesting payment for items that weren't warranted. ASAP Restoration was completely different. They were honest, upfront, and transparent from day one. They took the time to review every budget, selection, and step of the process with us, making sure we understood everything along the way. The entire team is outstanding, and Josh, the owner, truly leads by example. He tells it like it is, doesn't overpromise, and works tirelessly to make sure things get done the right way. His communication is second to none,I'd much rather have someone who over-communicates than leaves me wondering what's happening. Before the plumber even arrived, three different restoration companies showed up at my door. The strange part? I never called any of them and nobody told me anyone was coming out. I did overhear one of the technicians I allowed in for a "free evaluation" on speakerphone with the plumber asking if a $2,000 finder's fee sounded reasonable. I kept my mouth shut but it definitely raised some red flags. I listened to all three companies separately and then decided to do some serious research online. While some companies have plenty of glowing Google reviews, once you start looking at other sources like Yelp, the Arizona ROC, and the BBB, the picture can look very different. Consider this a friendly warning to homeowners: do your homework. After digging deeper, I was fortunate to find ASAP Restoration. One thing that immediately stood out is that they do not work referral deals with plumbers, do not pay kickbacks, and do not play games with deductibles. They simply focus on doing the job correctly. The team was extremely professional. The mitigation/demo crew handled the water damage quickly and thoroughly, and the reconstruction team has been excellent. We're now about 90% finished with the rebuild and everything is coming together great. I just felt the need to share my experience before heading out for spring break. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, take a breath, do your research, and call a company that focuses on integrity and quality work. For me, that company was ASAP Restoration.

ALM was willing to step in and do a second test before my insurance company stepped in and said nevermind. My house was built BEFORE mandatory testing was required. So I assume ALM is a good company. Upon having our master shower remediated for mold through our home insurance policy, we were on the hunt for a company that could reconstruct the shower. I submitted a request through Yelp, and Global Prevention Services responded and got me scheduled for a consultation immediately. Shortly after this consultation, the Global Prevention Services Project Coordinator, Kimberly, put together several service estimates for me, as we weren't yet sure the direction we wanted to go with the shower tile. Kimberly was patient with us as we picked out materials and went back and forth on what we wanted to do! Due to our mold experience, we ultimately decided we wanted to limit the amount of grout in the shower, in hopes of minimizing the chances of it failing. With that, we started the reconstruction! Throughout the whole process, Kimberly and Rudy, the project manager, were incredibly thorough, communicative, and overall, just really helpful. We could not be more grateful for the time and effort both Kimberly and Rudy spent trying to make our shower dreams come true. I would also love to give a shout out to all of the guys who helped load and unload HUGE porcelain slabs -- that is no easy feat! The stress of having your home torn apart and put back together from The crazy amount of leaks (8 in my case) is a feeling of uncertainty and unpredictability... this caused me so many worries,  stresses,  and moments of tears. To be honest though,  i learned so much in this process,  and the first lesson was trust! The trust that there ARE people who have gifts that I don't!!! I needed to trust that the gifts of these people would heal my home! When I decided to lay down my feelings,  open up and let go and let things flow,  every stress and worry went away! It started with releasing those stresses when I spoke to STEVE from the Demo dept of Preferred Choice.  Him and his crew were literally like family!!! Super professional..... you know,  it could be easily uncomfortable with huge men around but NO.... these guys were super fabulous!!!! We had an emergency and had to call same day services and went with Preferred Choice based on a…read morerecommendation. Our roof had a small leak but showed no signs of damage until a small portion of our ceiling collapsed in the kitchen. When they came out, I explained I had already called our insurance company and started a claim, but let them know we'd never been through that process before and they said they would walk us through every step and explain everything thoroughly and make sure we were fully informed. On day one they cut out the part of the ceiling that had collapsed and disposed of it, set up a dehumidifier and fans, and put plastic on the ceiling. They said they would be out every other day to monitor the humidity for a week. This was during a time the whole valley was experiencing storm damage and they were constantly on the phone with other customers when they were at our house, which we did not mind at all. But there were also times they said they were coming out and did not show or call; again we weren't too concerned because we understood how busy they were and they did still come out about four times over a two week period and the humidity levels were fine so we weren't concerned about mold growth. They let me know how much the repairs would cost and I asked MULTIPLE times if that was the total cost as it was less than our deductible; I made it very clear that I could cancel our claim with homeowners but wanted to be certain of the total costs first. They said yes and that if we were going to pay cash they would re-invoice us with a discount. They let me know I needed to pay half up front and half when the work was done, which we did. The restoration itself got pushed back a couple of times but did get done and get done well. However, AFTER the restoration was complete and with ZERO communication that there would be an entirely separate fee, we got a second invoice for the demo work they had done. They charged us over $8,000 for JUST the demo work of cutting the hole, disposing of the portion of the ceiling (the hole was just bigger than our refrigerator), the fees for the use of the dehumidifier, and over 16 hours of drive time. Our house is 15-20 minutes from their office and they came nowhere near 16 hours worth. If their billing on just that was so deceptive, I was really concerned about the rest of the fees. We were charged an exorbitant amount for the plastic they taped to the ceiling that we had to retape constantly, we could have rented the dehumidifier from Lowe's for MUCH cheaper, and many of the other fees made no sense. They told us they would negotiate that $8,000+ invoice but it took us months to negotiate this down to over $4,000, again, for just the demo work. We were shifted from person to person to person, they repeatedly sent requests for the insurance information even though we kept telling them we canceled it when they gave us the first invoice because we had no clue there would be a separate invoice coming later, and were threatened with legal action multiple times before they even provided us with the corrected invoice and gave us a chance to pay based on that invoice. Due to their billing and communication, I would NOT recommend using them.
