Unfortunately, our experience with this shop was extremely disappointing. We originally brought our car in on June 29 to have the shocks replaced. After picking it up, we immediately noticed a clunking noise that had not been present before the repair. When we brought the vehicle back, we were told an additional part needed to be ordered. From there, communication became a major issue. Days passed without any updates, and our attempts to reach the shop went unanswered. However, after my wife posted a negative review, we received an immediate response and were told to bring the car back in. The new part was installed, but the problem persisted. At that point, we were told a "brand-name" replacement part would need to be ordered instead (why is he not using brand name products?). While we understand that repairs don't always go as planned, we were left without confidence in the reliability of our vehicle and received very little proactive communication throughout the process. By July 8, we still had not heard anything, so I called to check on the status. During that call, the owner informed me that the part had actually arrived the day before and that he was planning to call us to bring it in "within the next few days." After already waiting more than a week, this was frustrating. What bothered us most was the way our concerns were handled. When I explained that we were unhappy with how the situation had been managed, the owner immediately became defensive. At one point, he told me that he "isn't responsible for my emotions." When I expressed concern that we had been left without reliable transportation, he responded that the car was "completely fine to drive." Given the ongoing noise and unresolved repair issue, this was not reassuring. A quick google search proved that the statement was not only incorrect but negligible and could have caused major damage to the car. When I asked whether we could receive a refund and take the vehicle elsewhere, he said that refunds were not available. The conversation became increasingly unproductive and hostile, and he eventually refused to discuss the matter further because my wife had signed the paperwork rather than me, despite the fact that I was present when the vehicle was dropped off. Shortly after the call, he texted my wife and stated that after installing the new part, he no longer wanted to service her vehicle because I had been "rude" to him on the phone. To be clear, I never raised my voice, used profanity, or became disrespectful. I simply expressed that we were unhappy with how the situation had been handled and wanted to explore our options. Our frustration comes from the lack of communication, the delays, and the dismissive and defensive responses we received when trying to resolve the problem. Additionally, we were completely turned off by the fact that the parts he uses is not of good enough quality that would prevent this issue from the first place. It took three total installations to resolve the matter, the first two was with his own parts that failed, the third was with a brand name that worked. In the end, we were left feeling unheard, unsafe, and without confidence in either the repair, the customer service or the shop. Based on our experience, we would not return and cannot recommend this shop. EDIT: I had a feeling that the owner would reply. But as you can see, there's nothing that addresses the way he treated us just that he repaired the car. Yes, he repaired the car after failing to do so the first 2 times he worked on it. He let us drive off twice with an impaired car that was caused by him. Guess all that he cares about is doing the work EVENTUALLY, not doing it right or doing it well the first time. Rear shock absorbers were replaced this past Monday. After driving away there was a loud clunking noise that wasn't there when I brought the car in. I drove my car back to the mechanic and got it looked at- he did something/not sure. I drove away again and still the clunking is there, so I went back again to the mechanic. The mechanic said- they needed to order a part and it would come in Tuesday. It's now Thursday of the following week- I can't drive my car, they won't return my messages on the phone or email. My car now has a problem that wasn't there when I first brought it there. I really just want them to contact me back and fix my car correctly. The mechanic is rude. If you have an issue with faulty parts, don't expect him to do anything about it. Also go to a mechanic that can actually fix a car. read more

Was told during my oil change at valvoline in passing we "had a leak in the transmission". Our regular mechanic wasn't available for a week so we turned to the local fb page and found Tilleys through raving reviews. I called and he was able to see us same day. We luckily got great news that there was no leak. He took us under our car which no one has ever done. I've actually never seen the underside of my car in the 8 years owning it lol. I recently brought my vehicle in because I was experiencing some vibration while driving. I'm actually from California and was just visiting the area, so I really appreciated how helpful and professional everything was. Jared was friendly, took the time to check everything thoroughly, and explained the findings clearly while providing a repair estimate without any pressure. Afterward, I had my wheels balanced elsewhere and the vibration completely went away, so I decided to hold off on the brake work for now. Even though I didn't move forward with the repair, I really appreciated Jared's respectful and honest approach throughout the process. This is probably the place I would send my worst enemies to, Tilleys auto is probably the most schmuck crappy auto repair in town. I took my f150 in for transmission problems the overdrive was blinking not shifting properly etc this guy Jared is like oh yeah no big deal we will replace the wiring harness all is well , well no not all is well $800 for a new harness and I still have the same issue. After further inspection he didn't replace all of the harness just a pigtail repair and did a terrible job wiring it (left many many wires exposed) once I saw this and went over the job with another mechanic , I went back to the shop to ask about the problems and he said he'd take another look at it again MY MISTAKE because as soon as I get the truck back the light is gone? Great service for a reasonable price. My car was randomly showing an engine overheating alarm. They found the radiator had no fluid. They took care of the problem and fixed the heater at the same time. I also took my businesses' NV200 van to them when my regular mechanic told me it needed a new transmission. When Sunset Auto became AAA Auto, they raised their labor rates to nearly what the BMW dealership charges, so I had to find a new mechanic and I used Yelp to find Jared. Let me tell you... he knows his BMWs! He's done work on both of my older BMWs (3 & 5 series) and not only charges a fair rate (much cheaper than the dealership), but also goes by the book on hours charged for the jobs done. Other places including AAA with often add a few token hours onto the job. Not cool. Best of all, Jared does great work! I've spent in excess of $4K with him, and while I hate to spend that amount, it had to be done to keep my older cars in "the ultimate driving machine" shape. Thus, I highly recommend Jared as a foreign auto mechanic, especially BMWs. He is a small family business, so he will treat you right, since he wants your continued business.
