Wow. Just wow. Their service was fast, prices were low and customer service was amazing. I love this place! The little shop is my new go-to for all my car repairs. I recently came in for an electrical issue on my '03 Impala and was totally impressed. Tried the Living social deal for $25 to get my car smogged! These guys are fast and efficient! I set my appointment and was in and out within 20 minutes of my appointment time. Impressive service! I typically dread any service that involves my car, be it oil changes, smog checks, etc. but this place is fantastic. A few months back I purchased a Groupon for a smog check here and per Groupon it "expired". When reaching out to Master Tech, they still honored my Groupon which was such a relief to me financially. I was easily able to set an appointment when I called. When I arrived (20 minutes early) so did a group of about 2-3 other individuals and there were 2 others already in the waiting room. I thought I was going to be waiting about 30 minutes or more to get my car smogged. To my surprise, I was in and out in 15 minutes including signing paperwork and payment!! The receptionist was incredibly nice and professional. The waiting room was really cute too and included a Keurig, comfy chairs and a TV to keep you happy while you wait. I will definitely consider using them for my future car needs! read more

I completely trust the advice and repairs I get from Master Tech. My wife and I have taken our 2 2003-vintage cars there for over 2 years. We get great advice, great service and fair pricing. Recently, they kept our Trailblazer on site for over 3 days to replicate a problem I was having with starting the car. Got a groupon for smog check. Literally I timed it and they were done in 10 minutes (from check in to check out)! Fastest smog check I've ever got done, and I was a walk in! The front desk ladies were super nice and fun to chat with. They also have their small yorkie I said hello to. Lobby area is small but comfy for the short amount of time you may be sitting there. They have TV , AC, water, magazines, and keurig to make coffee at $0.25/cup. And they're star certified (for DMV purposes)! Thank you!! read more

Fast, cheap, courteous, and clean! This place really made the smog experience very pleasant and I say again, fast! Armed with a groupon ($25 for smog check!), this is definitely one of the cheapest places in town to get your smog done. They charge an extra $9.50 to send and print out your smog certificate, but even then, still cheaper than most places. If you do not have a groupon, the smog check here is $44. I spent a total of 20 minutes here (it was a little busy), and would definitely recommend this place! read more

I have NEVER experienced such quick, convenient service in my life! I am sure that some of it was just dumb luck, but I was literally back in my car about ten minutes after pulling up out front. They checked my smog so quickly, that I thought there was a problem. But there was not. They were just done already! This place is worth the 5 star rating for sure. The lady answering the phone was just so nice!! And that was pretty important because the 3 other places I called before deciding on Master tech, they were all so rude and hurried. Even better was the deal I found on Groupon! Needless to say, I made an appointment for 11, ended up getting there 15 minutes early, they took me right in and I was done in about 15 minutes! The place is clean, bright and inviting with multiple places to sit both inside and out. It's not a huge place so it has that chill atmosphere. I didn't end up using Brian's shop as I ended up doing the work myself but I have to commend Brian for a quick response to my questions (via the Yelp app) and a very, very fair price for all of the work I was asking to be quoted (I even asked a mechanic friend who said this was a good rate). While I can't speak to the quality of their workmanship, I can say that their customer service and pricing is very competitive and I will probably be going here in the future for any maintenance needs, given all of the great reviews I've seen. read more

Went in for a smog check today. I had a coupon purchase thingy from Living Social. I was literally in and out within 15 minutes. My butt didn't even have time to warm the chair haha. Its very clean, there is a TV, some fancy coffee and comfy chairs. I wasn't there long enough to make any coffee. The couple that runs/owns? this shop are extremely nice. They have the cutest puppy too. I will definitely be returning here when I need to smog my car again and will recommend to friends. read more

This is by far the best priced and most reliable smog shop I have ever been to. I'm a regular here and sometimes even go out of my way to drive a little bit further to come here. They offer complimentary coffee and have a nice clean waiting room. Always showing a interesting video while you wait. Laura is really awesome!! Man, after my car failed smog I was stressed out to the maximum level and was like that for weeks as I was trying to find out what to do next. I got little relief qualifying for the CAP program in which it led me to Master Tech Smog and Repair. I showed up for a diagnostic test preparing to fork out the $89 that they charge for one hour(unlike El Camino Smog and Repair who quoted a diag test at $199), BUT since it didn't take an hour, they charged only $54. WHO does things like that nowadays??? My repair was covered by the CAP Program and I pay for another smog check that passes so what stressed me out big time a few weeks ago, turned out that it only cost me around $100 out of my pocket, thanks to Brian and Shannon at Master Tech. Brian was able to diagnose why our daughter's 2007 Mustang was overheating (only when A/C was turned on) when several other mechanics failed to do so. Brian found resistance in the electrical wiring for the 2 speed fan and traced the problem as originating in the engine fuse box. The fuse box had a burnt out lead and needed replacing. The Mustang's overheating problem was cured. Brian did a fantastic job of communicating the problem to us over the phone and even sent us a picture of the burnt fuse box connector lead. Brian seems highly competent in auto repair and is very trustworthy. I highly recommend this place for auto repair. read more

This was my first trip to this location and I could not have been happier with the experience. I heard about the shop through a friend. I drove quite a distance to get to this shop and found it was well worth it. Everyone there was friendly, respectful, kind and polite and the service was FAST! When I arrived for my Smog test they told me how long it would take only 15 minutes and it took less than that. What I appreciated about the experience was that it was family run and the children seem to appreciate their parents. At the risk of sounding old I'll add that it is hard to find young people who are respectful to adults and even harder to find young people that are respectful to their parents. It was a refreshing and delightful experience. I highly recommend them. Oh yeah, due to COVID19 I asked if they could help me combine another errand I had and they went above and beyond to accommodate the request. I felt bad asking but figured, 'it doesn't hurt to ask.' When I asked the daughter working the front desk she assured me I wasn't asking too much and the manager was equally eager to help me out. Such a refreshing experience :) read more
