This place is located inside Mitsuwa Marketplace. It's in the little food court area so great after you do your shopping in the main area. They have all kinds of things here including matcha shakes, lattes, soft serve ice cream and even gluten free crepes! You order at the kiosk and pay with card (no cash). They'll call your name when your order is ready. I got a strawberry daifuku and a matcha sesame latte with soy milk. I didn't have to wait too long since I got mostly basic items. The crepes can take up to 15 mins depending on the demand at the time. The daifuku was soft and delicious. Not too sweet. It doesn't work; too difficult to eat. The mochi is too soft; can't tell where the soft serve ends and the mochi begins. But the matcha soft serve, and the kuromitsu syrup is great. I ordered #14 Banana Caramel Whipped Ice Cream, the crepe was very light and not too sweet the ice cream surprisingly compliments the crepe. The matcha soft serve here tasted pretty weak compared with Maruwu Seicha and Matcha Maiko. My husband and I tried the viral mont blanc which had the spaghetti-looking topping. We didn't know the topping was white bean-based or that it would have a bean paste consistency, which was pretty jarring and unappetizing. The bean flavor is pretty prominent and it was all we could taste. Would not recommend unless that's what you're specifically after. I wouldn't order their soft serve again either. The Details: While I did order a matcha drink (the sakura matcha latte--an overall pleasant beverage that had a nice balance of sweetness and floral to matcha notes), I came here specifically to try their strawberry daifuku and compare it to Santo Market's wildly popular one. Even though Santo Market's strawberry daifuku is superior in terms of price and size, honestly, the flavor of the one here exceeded my expectations--the strawberry was juicy and delicious, the mochi was nice and chewy, and the red bean was balanced in sweetness. Even though it's about 1.5x the price, the benefit is that you don't have to line up early in the morning in the hopes of getting one, so I think that's a suitable tradeoff. Service was courteous and about what one would expect from a food court stall. Ambiance of the stall itself is aesthetically pleasing.
