Super small and cute cafe. Surprisingly decent amount of seating in such a small space. I got a matcha latte to stay. The two other people in the cafe had glass cups. I was given paper. Low stars because the coffee I got here was kind of burnt. Might have been a bad day but also the croissants I got weren't fresh and pretty plain. I got a latte with one pump of lavendar syrup (+75 cents). It was super subtle so I asked for another pump and was asked to pay another 75 cents. This is my second time trying our Frisson and both times have been pretty great. To my knowledge, this is probably the best espresso around the broadway area. If you're going to see a show and need a little pick-me-up before going to the theatre, this is close enough to walk to. read more

Charming, small, cozy with some seating (we didn't have a problem securing seats, but maybe that's because Saturday matinees were in progress, meaning maybe the timing was in our favor). The location is very convenient, though the place is pretty tiny and more suited for grab and go than sitting, the seating is very limited. One of the best coffee and overall experiences I had in NYC. This is one of the very few that lived up to the hype and exceeded expectations. I was very pleased. Found them on Yelp - closeby - was looking for some really good coffee. It's a small quaint place. The staff here were very effervescent. Full of energy, very positive. I couldn't make a decision so they helped me out - he's the barista and an artist too - he recommended a Flat White with Oat and sugar free vanilla. Yes! That cup of Flat White Sugar Free Vanilla w/ Oat Milk was the best damn cup of coffee I've had since I could remember. It was just so robust and full of flavor. I loved the depth of their coffee, so smooth, nice strong notes, and I could drink this forever! It was so darn good I got another one to go. The croissants ham n cheese look so good, and so do their sweets and pastries - wow. This place left an impression on me so when I traveled back to NYC the following week I made it a priority to make it back there - and had another great experience. Again I ordered one there and another to go since it was so good and bought some of their expresso beans too. A very pleasant and nice place, with excellent coffee and customer service. Cute, small on side street in the Broadway area. Nice people, fast service. We went there post meal and pre show. I think it's a little funkier than Dunkin or Starbucks which are both in the area. Ordered through Grubhub on Amazon app from Frisson Espresso 44. And confusingly, Frisson Espresso 44 not appear in a Yelp search, but Frisson Espresso does (also, does anyone know how to leave a detailed review on Grubhub itself? I looked, but in my uncaffeinated and unfed state, I just couldn't find it, assuming it's there). The delivery was right on time. I was so excited when the bag felt warm. Such promise! I didn't even mind that the iced mocha had leaked a little or that the bag left wet, coffee-y patches on my shirt and arm. Then the letdown, and what a letdown it was. Or rather, what letdowns they were. I asked for sugar, so I don't know why they gave me Splenda. If they are going to throw in random stuff, why not throw in all the different sweeteners? And something to stir with? Apparently requesting utensils and napkins doesn't count...this isn't a big deal if you're home but a little trickier to rectify if you're staying in a hotel and your room doesn't have a coffee machine (and you discover the deficiencies after you get back to your room). I had to raid the hotel tissue box to clean up the ice coffee from various surfaces. Pain au chocolat was so dry, it was inedible. I tried to eat it with a sip of of latte, hoping maybe the two would somehow complement each other. Nope. Just go to Bourke St Bakery instead. Or try another place. Save your money and skip the pastries here. I didn't get the chocolate chip cookie I ordered - instead, another pain au chocolate. Did I mention it was inedible? But based on the pastries, maybe it wouldn't have been any good either? (In which case It wouldn't matter, but we'll never know...) The Kouignn Aman was also really dry. Does the picture look like buttery goodness to anyone? It was more like a really doughy palmier cookie. So I am really disappointed because based on the reviews, I expected something good. Also? $7 for a kouign aman? It should have been epic. We'll I guess it was - an epic FAIL. The ice mocha was drinkable. 1/6 read more
