Wanted to try this place since it opened. Decent experience, but not the best. The hostess was great and friendly. The waitress didn't have any good things to say about the cocktails or much about the food. I ordered the manhattan to Paris, I thought it was a great perfect manhattan, but I'm not a bartender, so what would I know. My wife had been wanting the chicken pot pie since she saw it in the menu, but the one at Sunshine is way better! My pork chop was cooked perfectly and super tender, just wish it had seasoning on it. The carbonara risotto that my friend ordered was delicious! The desserts were yummy, so we ended in a good note. Service was extremely slow...would have ordered more cocktails if our waitress came around more often. read more

We had a great dinner here. Gustavo was our server and he was lovely. The food was excellent. I think they might've been shortstaffed because service took a little long. I think our server had a lot of tables, but that didn't stop him from being so friendly and a great server. I like this restaurant because it feels like a classic golf country club vibe. read more

We came in for breakfast and were very disappointed with how long it took to receive service. Several times we tried to get the attention of a gentleman with a beard who appeared to be a manager, but he continued walking past our table without acknowledging us or checking to see if we needed assistance. Nearly 40 minutes passed before we finally received service. Watching a manager repeatedly walk past guests who were clearly waiting for help was not a good look and certainly did not reflect the level of hospitality we expected. We will not return. read more

One of the bright spots of our experience was watching Maya behind the bar and Donna, the manager, work throughout the evening. My husband and I sat at the bar and honestly couldn't believe how much the two of them were handling. Maya was incredible--just cranking out drink after drink and somehow keeping everything moving despite how busy it was. Donna seemed to be everywhere at once, checking on guests, helping tables, and trying to resolve issues throughout the restaurant. After we had waited about 45 minutes for our food, Donna stepped in, got our food to us, listened to our concerns, and genuinely took care of us. She was incredibly understanding about the wait and never made us feel like we were being a bother. Watching Maya and Donna work under that kind of pressure was impressive. The remake is absolutely beautiful--the restaurant looks amazing and has a great new feel. Unfortunately, the food missed the mark. I ordered my burger medium, but it came out extremely undercooked, and even after sending it back, the replacement still wasn't right and was overly salted. The fries, however, were great. On a positive note, the manager was wonderful--attentive, professional, and did an excellent job handling the situation. Beautiful space and great service; hopefully the food catches up. read more

Stopped in on a Wednesday and sat at the bar. It wasn't very busy, but service was slow. What really grossed me out was watching the bartender grab my wine glass from the top with his hand completely over the rim where you drink from. It was honestly disgusting, and I had to ask another bartender for a fresh glass. The burger was overly salty and not cooked correctly, but the burrata salad and fries were great. Nice space, but the bar service, drink handling, and food consistency definitely need attention. read more

We visited the newly opened Silverado Matchplay this weekend and were very impressed. The reimagined restaurant strikes a great balance between elevated dining and comfortable warmth; stylish, cozy, and inviting all at once. The shuffleboard and darts in the bar area are a fantastic touch and give the more casual side of the restaurant a fun, social energy. For an opening weekend, the service was far smoother than we've experienced at many new restaurants. There were a few small lags, but the staff was welcoming and attentive throughout despite obviously being extremely busy. Once ordered, the food arrived quickly, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The wine selection was also excellent, including accommodating off-menu requests. Overall, an impressive debut and a wonderful addition to Napa's dining scene. We'll definitely be back and will recommend it to others! read more

We came in last night to celebrate my son's birthday and had such a wonderful evening. Our family has been coming to Silverado for several years, and my kids have practically grown up spending their summers here, so it's always special to return. Match Play looks amazing, and the food was fantastic. I especially wanted to recognize Donna, the manager, who took the time to stop by our table, chat with us, and make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Her warmth and genuine attention made us feel incredibly welcomed, and the hospitality was truly top tier. Gustavo was absolutely amazing as well, walking us through the menu, making great recommendations, and taking wonderful care of us. The chef even sent out a special birthday dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. read more

What stood out most was seeing a gentleman with a long beard spending time chatting behind the bar while people continued waiting for service. The new Matchplay Kitchen & Bar is absolutely beautiful, and the food is great, which is why the service issues are so disappointing. When you invest this much into creating a stunning restaurant experience, service has to match the atmosphere from day one. A guest sitting at the bar should immediately be greeted with a napkin, silverware, and a drink order taken. Instead, service has felt understaffed and inattentive multiple times. A restaurant this size and caliber should be overstaffed in the beginning to ensure impeccable service, even if that means sending staff home on slower nights. Silverado deserves a restaurant that feels polished in every way, and right now the service unfortunately isn't keeping up with the beauty of the space. read more

This place is incredible. They have a pecan infused old fashioned that also has a Guinness situation involved. The food is so good, you have to get the mussels [A MUST] kind reader I hope you know what hard brackets mean. ASK FOR EXTRA BREAD, you'll need it. Plus the crab cake, which is a great size for being one. I work where it's one crab cake and I wish it were this big. I have new-ish allergy, soy omg it's in everything and so sneaky. So it's come to the point that just eating is somewhat scary tbh. Manny was my server and he totally understood because my allergy is deeper than most soys. Not only did he totally ensure my exact dish was safe, he was so real. My entire party (6) is in the industry and on property throwing a corporate retreat. He really pulled through to make me feel at ease about the allergy and everything on the table in general. Plus there are TVs if you're a sports lover like me. There's almost two areas where you can be near TVs (4) in the bar area and they'll turn the channel to what to you like easily. I work somewhere with 21 TVs and 9 satellites so I understand the degree to where TVs matter. Manny was so good we came the next night and he fully accommodated us at the same table to watch Stanley Cup and World Cup even though it wasn't his section, which I feel bad about as a server myself. Shout out to the other server who let us do that, we get it. The manager was such a gem. She really understood when we checked in that we really wanted to be with Manny. She was generous as can be. I can tell you the Chicken Pot Pie is really good, but only at dinner. The pastas including the risotto are top tier. There are no traditional peas but swap asparagus, that flavor really gives a more farmer's market/spring summer time vibe to the dish. We had the strawberry panzanella salad too, so fresh and large enough to share (don't forget we are six!) or have as an entree. The s'mores dessert will surprise you, non traditional set up but an exquisite presentation. GO HERE. Come play golf or just stay here and EAT HERE. Ask for Manny. Chef's kiss all around. read more

We checked out the new Matchplay and we had a great experience. Manny was our server and greeted us with "Hey I haven't forgot about you, just want to acknowledge and I will be right with you.. " Not many servers do that.. and he said, I want you to have a great experience, after he lined up the salt and pepper shakers ;-) Food was good, I got the shishito peppers and feedback is that the bigger peppers need to stay on the grill a bit longer. Small ones were great, but since they are not all the same size, some are done right, some are undercooked. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and experience. read more
