    Truffle Devil Egg

Mushroom Risotto was decent but the ribs were dry. Fish and Chips/Fries i needed to add salt cause it needed flavor. Truffle Devil egg was disappointing because it needed to add more truffle. Strawberry drink omg its like drinking water. Ok here's the worst part, our server (Humberto G) took our main dish plates and asked immediately are you ready for your check? I said, oh I was going to eat dessert but its ok. Then he offered if he could bring dessert menu. I said never mind just give me the check. Then I went to ice cream next door.

Great spot for a cocktail and burger in downtown Napa. Brunch is really good too. Sit at the bar for brunch. Great pours great bartenders. 5 star chili Great light bright spot for the hair of the dog.

Great fish and chips. We wanted a light lunch and had the fish and chips and vegetable soup. The soup was nicely flavored and was a great addition to a cold day. The service was pleasant and attentive. This was a modern pub style restaurant. Give them a try if in the neighborhood.

I haven't eaten at Norman Rose or gotten to-go food in a few years now. We went in the other night to give it one last chance after having a few too many disappointing meals. The spinach goat cheese dip is just as I remembered, rich and delicious. My husband got the lamb burger and said it was lacking in flavor. I branched out from my go to fried chicken sandwhich with an egg and instead got the chicken parm, it was so disappointing. This was probably our last time going to Norman Rose. There are just too many great restaurants in downtown Napa to risk spending that kind of money on another mediocre meal.

We went for restaurant week in Napa. Such a fun little menu, and so yummy! Spencer was our server, and we absolutely adored him. Cute little restaurant with booths... Gotta love booths! I can't have alcohol, but my husband got the wine pairing with all his meal and boy was the Pinot and Duck a good combo! (I did smell the Pinot) I am posting pictures so you can see what we got and you have a few days left of January!

Right in the heart of downtown Napa, we found this to be a delicious stop for lunch, in between wine tastings. Our servers were friendly and our food came out quickly. I had and liked my barley and bean burger with avocado slice and Swiss cheese. It was tasty but a bit on the dry side. I shared the peach burrata salad with my spouse and we loved it! We sat under cover but open area so the ambience felt great on this pleasant June day! We enjoyed our experience and would recommend it for lunch!

3.5? Everything was ok. I didn't see some items on the menu that were on Yelp that attracted me (menu changes?). I got the fish tacos and the presentation and portion was good! The fish was big and the batter was crispy! But taste overall was ok. I tried my bfs fried chicken sandwich and it was also ok. The mussels were good. The place itself was clean and servers were nice and friendly.

I had awesome food here I got the Wienerschnitzel that came with German potato salad. It is some of the best that I've had. My friend got the French dip sandwich. She stated it tasted really well. Her daughter got the sliders that had Fritos in the hamburger and avocados on it. From what they said. The staff were very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. We sat in a booth that was very comfortable. The temperature was perfect all around a very good experience.

Tried Norman Rose in Napa - it was across from our hotel. The short rib was very tender, mushroom risotto tasty. Buttermilk fried chicken sandwich also quite tasty. The batter on the fish and chip a little thick. The tiramisu was really good. Service was okay. Ambiance was chill.

Moderate food choice in downtown Napa, reasonable prices and decent service. We were seated outside on the patio and tried the calamari and shishito peppers to start. The calamari was overly fried and the shishito peppers had great flavor, lightly oiled and salted but were a bit undercooked. We also tried two of the lunch specials. The pulled pork on a potatoe bun was topped with scant coleslaw and red onions, also included sweet potatoe fries (instead of a la carte). The chicken Parmesan was lightly breaded and topped with sauce and parsley, comes with a side of fettuccine.

The TVs playing the football game created a great atmosphere, perfect for enjoying the experience. The food and drinks were excellent, making the whole visit even better. Overall, an amazing place with great vibes that I'd definitely come back to.

Happy new year from Napa! Spending a bit of time checking out the local eateries Small World is great for sharing an omelette. They make their own hot sauce. Very delicious. Norman Rose Tavern has a wonderful short rib and French Dip for two! Spencer our wait staff was wonderful, accommodating and pleasant! just a really relaxed great place. It's restaurant week would you believe most of the restaurants are closed. They close shortiy aftet the holidayd to give their employees time off. We saw a Lone cow grazing in the pouring rain. Wow did the rest go into hiding?

    Fish and Chips
    V W.

Not the same! The fish and chips was mushy and tasted fishy. Even the restaurant smelled very fishy. None of the old workers seem to be here since the new ownership. This place used to be good, but was horrible. Poor customer service, food, and cocktails. The server tried, but it was confusing with different ones waiting on my table. Not a local gem anymore . :(

We came in right before the restaurant filled out at 10am and got the shakshuka along with a burger and fries. Everything was made perfectly and so flavorful. Some mishaps have happened with service on prior visits but management and servers are always concerned and make it right. That's why I keep coming back. I Popped in Thursday afternoon for Pho. It was not busy only two other couples eating when we arrived. We sat at our usual table And noted service was a bit slow right off the bat. When I received my Pho, which I thought was a longer wait than usual, it was luke warm if that. The Korean ribs and chicken wings arrived temperature appropriate. I pushed my soup aside but no one checked back until my lunch mate finished. When the waiter came to clear the table I asked for a to go and thought he would ask if there was anything wrong. He did not so I told him the Pho was served luke warm so I did not eat it and that no one had checked back or even passed by us or I would have sent it back to heat it up. We were done now so I'd just take it to go. Our waiter apologized and when he brought the bill said The Pho was comped and apologized again for the breakdown in service. When I dine I like to relax and enjoy a meal With who I came with. So receiving temperature appropriate food is important. The KD does a good job. They have a diverse menu with flavorful food and great cocktails. When there is a hiccup in service or the food there is a genuine concern. Sometimes it's caught by them and others it's brought to their attention. It's how things are dealt with when those mishaps happen. The KD addresses your concerns with sincerity and want their diner to have an all around great experience. If you have not been give KD a try when in downtown Napa.

That and the fact that they have never been to Napa/Sonoma Area in their 36 years in America, meant that my brother and I had to plan a trip. My brother selected Mustards Grill. It was along the way to our reservation to Beringer and continently along St. Helena Highway. Despite hearing about Mustards being a staple within the Yountville area, it was so my first time trying it too. We had a reservation for 4 and after getting taken care of by the courteous host and being welcomed by our waitress, we were left with waters and the menu. To get the most of the experience, my brother thought we should all share several items. We shared their famous Pork Chops, Duck Confit, Ribs and Cornbread, Squash Risotto, and a side of Green Beans. We were offered fresh bread and butter prior to the arrival of our entrees and shortly after enjoying the soft pillowy bread, we were ready for more. My parents, being Cantonese and coming from the restaurant background, really care about having fresh and quality ingredients and letting the flavors shine - not letting sauces dictate the dish. Despite it being American fare, they quite enjoyed each dish and went back for additional helpings after giving a small initial taste of each item. Our visit to Mustards Grill ended up being a joyous meal where my parents got more exposure to the wonders of quality American cuisine as well as marked a good start to the day we were spending in wine county.

Having visited both their up-valley locations and the downtown Napa restaurant numerous times, I continue to find myself returning for one particular menu item, the Ahi Poke Crispy Tacos. These tacos showcase Hawaiian-style marinated sushi-grade ahi tuna layered with fresh avocado, crisp green cabbage and cilantro slaw, green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and a drizzle of spicy mayo, all nestled within a delicate crispy taco shell. While the ingredients themselves are impressive, it is the harmony of flavors and textures that elevates this dish from a simple taco to a truly memorable culinary experience. There is a remarkable balance at work in every bite. The clean, fresh flavor of the ahi is complemented by the richness of the avocado, while the slaw contributes a refreshing crunch and brightness. The spicy mayo ties the components together with just enough heat to enhance, rather than overpower, the delicate flavors of the fish. It is one of those dishes that leaves a lasting impression on the palate and creates an immediate desire to return for it again, when driving by. On this particular visit, the first taco shell was exceptionally crisp, shattering upon the first bite and making it somewhat challenging to enjoy. Fortunately, the remaining two tacos were executed flawlessly. The shells provided the perfect contrast of texture while allowing the freshness and quality of the ingredients to remain the focal point. Each bite was vibrant, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Accompanying the tacos was Gotts' homemade lemonade, a refreshing pairing that proved equally enjoyable. Its bright citrus character and restrained sweetness complemented the richness of the ahi and the subtle heat of the spicy mayo, creating a refreshing counterpoint that enhanced the overall dining experience. At slightly more than $25 with tip, this is certainly not cheap. However, when considering the quality of the ingredients, the freshness of the preparation, and the restaurant's unwavering consistency, the value becomes readily apparent. For those who appreciate fresh seafood, Hawaiian-inspired flavors, and thoughtfully prepared fish tacos, the Ahi Poke Crispy Tacos at Gotts Roadside are worthy of the acclaim they receive. They are vibrant, refreshing, expertly balanced, and remain one of my go to places to get ahi tacos.

We ended up with the bluefin toro carpaccio to start (soooo good & savory), branzino (simple ingredients that wasn't fishy), classic baked potato, and the broccolini as our pairings. The flavors all came together super well. We also had two drinks, banana split & a cookie for dessert. Oh, & I can't forget the nice warm bread & butter when we were waiting for our food.
