Spicy Mango Shrimp Roll Shrimp Tempura Roll

Needed a quick before catching my train. Went to Matsuri! We ordered the Spicy Maki Combo, mango shrimp roll, shrimp tempura roll, and the Matsuri Ramen. The spicy maki combo was decent! I'm no fish expert (the 3 rolls all looked the same). But they all tasted fresh and had their distinct flavor. Very delicious. The mango shrimp roll and shrimp tempura roll were both good. Mango sauce was sweet and but not overpowering. Tempura was crispy and the sauce on top was good. The Matsuri ramen was average, broth didn't have much depth. Noodles okay, meat okay. Overall Matsuri is a good fast comfort spot. Nothing flashy but acceptable.

Great service and sushi is fresh. Delivery service is quick. Once you order they have on file what you previously ordered and assist you if you don't remember what enjoyed last time. Ambiance is welcoming !

I enjoy looking into sushi lunch specials, so I decided to try that of Matsuri for takeout. I ordered two 3 roll specials ($15.50 each) that come with miso soup or salad: chose the eel avocado, spicy tuna, yellowtail scallion, yellowtail scallion, spicy mango shrimp, and Alaska roll. The rolls don't have too much rice. I would only order the eel avocado and spicy mango shrimp again next time though. I was not a fan of the other rolls. Additionally, I ordered both the chicken and pork katsu bento box ($14 each), which comes with miso soup, salad, fried shumai, California roll, and rice. Both were good, affordable, and satisfying.

Ordered from here on Ubereats and they definitely have fresh and tasty sushi, unlike some places if you order delivery it doesn't come as fresh. Prices are decent and they have a lot of menu options to choose from sushi or other types of Japanese food. Definitely recommend if you're looking to order out or dine in if you're in the area.

I tried this restaurant yesterday for the first time and loved the food! It tastes so fresh! We ordered spicy crunch salmon roll, Dynamite roll, Viking roll and a kani salad. The kani salad was a big portion! All of the rolls were very tasty. The service was good, attentive. Indoor seating available, there is no outdoor seating. I will be back again

A friend wanted to meet here for dinner & I can never say no to sushi (pro - it's right off the 61st train station) It's like a hole in the wall, the inside is small but the staff greeted us & sat as down quickly. We ordered kani salad & chasu bun as our appetizers! It was good but I think the prices were a little expensive (especially for the woodside area!) As for dinner, I ordered 2 rolls (California roll & shrimp tempura) & she ordered shrimp noodles! My rolls were okay - I expected them to be tastier?? My friends noodles were a nice portion, came with miso soup but she also stated that it lacked flavor! All in all, I might come back again for the convenience & maybe try a lunch special since the regular prices are on the pricier end!

Came here with my boyfriend, he loves sushi so he said this one in Woodside is the best. I ordered pork Gyoza's like I usually do when I go to sushi spots; they were tiny and delicious. We came an hour before closing, the hostess let us know awkwardly but she still let us sit down. The food was overall delicious and the waiters were attentive.

I took some friends here and I think it was a solid neighborhood spot. If I lived in Woodside I would easily order delivery from here but since I live a bit further away, I would call for pickup. I think the quality and variety of the food was great. The food: Hamachi Kama- Grilled yellowtail collar, ponzu sauce. I get this at any Japanese restaurant I visit and the one here was delicious. It was so tender, juicy and fatty, oh man was this good. Black Pepper Tuna Tataki- Seared pepper tuna, cucumber, tobiko, scallion, yuzu sauce. This was a really pretty dish. I thought the flavors worked well and the tuna had good texture. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=avtB1tlWahWLyae7Em5RDw&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA Spicy Edamame- Stir fried soy beans, shichimi, butter, sea salt. I wasn't sure what to expect from this since I never heard of a spicy version of edamame but it totally worked. Give me this and a cold glass of beer and I am set. Matsuri Festival for 4- 28 pcs sashimi, 16 pcs sushi w. four season roll and spicy lover's roll. This was the highlight of the meal and it was really good. I thought the nigiri pieces were made well, the sashimi pieces had a nice silky texture with a nice clean flavor, the rolls were a good quality roll with the filling having food flavor. I would highly recommend getting the Matsuri Festival if you visit. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=WrGyIJ30ycOisYYYr4R-8A&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA

Is this more of a traditional Japanese sushi stle or Americanized fusions? which dish is more traditional Japanese taste?

I wouldn't say this is traditional Japanese authentic restaurant.

Entering the area I was almost immediately greeted and ordered the food I had an interest in within a decent time frame so service is pretty good. I stuck with ordering mainly Japanese dishes I was familiar with because not many of the Tibetian dishes caught my eye. I had the chicken Teriyaki Lunch Box along with Shrimp Tempura Sushi and Lemon Iced tea. The food was good and pretty affordable. Note: The Ambiance quota wasn't highlighted so a short summary of the place. It's well kept but not outstandingly special or anywhere near gross. The lanterns hanging above are a nice touch.

As a big fan of tongue, my mouth watered. The waitress asked me how spicy I wanted it, so I requested mild to ensure it wasn't going to burn my mouth. The Sushi Pizza was tasty, although thought some may think it was a little pricey for the size. The flavorful tongue in the Cheley Khatsa was tender, as expected. Glad I didn't get it spicier! It came with white rice, which helped. Although I'm not often in this section of Jackson Heights, might consider stopping by another time to check out other specialties. Recommend you check it out as well.

He's never had Shoyu based broth before, different but still good; I didn't try it since I was so full. Steak was tender. Seasoned well.. delicious. We prefer it more on the rare side but hot broth .. gotta eat it quick. Regardless of the temp., it still tastes great. I got an extra serving of noodles but I couldn't finish it but that was my only meal of the day. He also had a Yuzu lemonade .. really sweet, but L likes it that way. Our server was nice. Always filled our water and got our orders right away. We even ordered a Khao soi ramen for L since he's a big guy. Broth was strong..lil too much for me but I only had a taste but he loved it. We came back and ordered Steak Ramen again and I wasn't goin to eat at the restaurant since I was a lil nauseous from the Uber ride but our server brought me a bowl in case I wanted some of L's ramen. Well drinkin some hot broth and eating some noodles actually helped me.. my nausea was gone and I was able to enjoy the food! So we ordered a Black garlic Tonkotsu with spicy sauce on the side. L enjoyed it but I actually preferred the shoyu broth since it wasn't as rich. I didn't need the black garlic and spicy sauce. We also ordered a steak ramen and ebi curry to go since I was visiting my mom and I wanted her to eat some of the protein. The steak was very tender and she was able to eat it without reheating it even after taking about 20 mins to get there. She loved the rice in the ebi curry. The curry was separated which she can't eat anyway. Whenever L visits my mom, he wants to get a bowl of ramen.
