You can get three rolls of sushi here for $18. The fish quality is good and the sushi size is impressive for the price. Wish they had a few more sushi options on the menu but most items were good. The crab rangoon however was tough to chew through because of the wonton wrapper which was odd and the filling was too sweet. The sauce it came with was perfectly balanced between sweet and spicy which was delicious. Definitely worth it for the price.

I was impressed by the freshness and how plentiful my Sushi & Sashimi Deluxe order was! I was skeptical at first by how relatively new and some bad reviews, but I decided to give it a try. Sushi and sashimi were fresh. Sashimi came in big chunks but no shiso leaves though. This time I was happy with my salad since it came with all sorts of greens with tasty ginger dressing, compared to my previous review. I will definitely order from Finest Sushi again.

Ok so kind of cute experience. I was looking on uber eats for some sushi and/or noodles and came across this spot. When I'm ordering I try and read reviews outside their app or see if I can order from the restaurant directly to save us both some 3rd party fees. Well when I looked on their site and checked out their menu I realized they do deliver and the sushi items are double on uber eats than they are on their menu or directly through them! Other food items were just a tad more but rolls went from like $5-6 ordering through them to $11-12 on uber eats. So I obviously called for delivery. They checked and said I'm outside of their delivery range because I'm in Brooklyn. Kind of annoying because I'm just a mile away right on the other side of the Greenpoint bridge, SOOOO close! The women on the phone felt bad so said to order and call her back and she'd throw in a free appetizer or roll. So sweet of her! I ordered through uber eats but wasn't actually planning on calling for a free item but she must have remembered my address because she called me to confirm my order and ask what I'd like thrown in and said anytime I order from uber eats to give her a call and she'll add something to cover the extra delivery costs. So sweet of her! Anyways, sushi and noodles were great! I was skeptical about the noodles because it looks like people only order sushi but so tasty!

Great customer service over the phone and even better in person . The lady was really nice and even included a free avocado bomb to go. The prices are so cheap and quality pretty good as well. I would definitely come again.

Im so happy to see new places open up in the neighborhood. I came here for lunch a week after them opening and I was very happy with my experience. I placed my ordered over the phone. When I got there my food wasn't ready yet but that was my fault since I came super fast to pick it up. While I was waiting the lady that works there was so nice and even gave me a bag of Doritos, she said you can have it as a snack. What a sweet gesture. I got two lunch specials. One was 3 rolls (shrimp tempura, spicy salmon and spicy tuna) that came with a soup or a salad. The second was the chicken fried rice which also came with soup or salad. I have to say the portions were really good for lunch specials and the food was very tasty. Im very happy to see new good restaurants come to Sunnyside.

This place has only 4 seats right by the sushi making area. You can see the man preparing the sushi that people ordered. The restaurant is extremely busy with delivery and takeout orders. I decided to dine in and I can tell that this place isn't suited for that as everything was served in takeout containers on plastic or paper stuff and the utensils were all plastic too.. As you can see in my pictures. Also, they should've wiped down the table before we sat down. Oh wells... Anyways, what we ordered for appetizer first was the chicken skewer. It came with 4 skewers on a paper plate. Sashimi regular which comes with 12 pieces of assorted Sashimi and 1 bowl or sushi rice. It was . The hibachi combination was ordered too which was filling. All in all I wouldn't come back to dine-in as they're more suited for takeout. Also, just as p.s.a. - don't use their toilet as it is gross.

Salmon bento box, Spicy Mango Shrimp Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll
    Angie L.

My roomie's favorite sushi spot -- and it's aight. The spicy salmon roll and spicy mango shrimp roll were definitely not enough to fill my stomach, but my roomie was gracious and let me nibble from her salmon bento box. Spicy salmon roll was incredibly average; the spicy mango shrimp roll, on the other hand, was a nice lil surprise. Perfect lil mix of textures and flavors, would order again. The bits of overcooked salmon, chicken nugget(?!), and shrimp thing from the bento box tasted ... uh .... untraditional. And the California roll was, well, a California roll. But it's a great deal in terms of price!

Shrimp and vegetable tempura. They give you more than most places in the neighborhood.

Now that I've ordered more poke bowls and more dishes, I'm quickly realizing that this place is great! The poke bowl is consistently good and the lunch special is incredibly generous. I had the salmon teriyaki and it was super tasty. This is my new go to spot for quick, easy, and delicious Japanese food.

    Tri color sushi.

Dashi Okume sells ... you guessed it ... dashi. They sell several kinds, and you can taste all of them there in the shop before deciding which to take home with you (I tried them all and went home with one bag of vegetable dashi and one bag of sweet shellfish dashi). They also make custom-made dashi. You can choose from around 30 ingredients - dried fish, seaweed, mushrooms, and vegetables. They grind it up and put into individual bags for you. Such a fun idea, but I thought I should try some of their pre-made dashi options before creating mine own. They also sell miso, rice, noodles, rice seasoning, seaweed, tea, and other items. I picked up some Japanese mustard, seaweed, and rice seasoning to take home with my dashi. Beyond being a great shop, they also have a cafe area where they offer a teishoku set meal - you pick your fish, which comes with tea, rice, miso soup, pickles, and sides. They also offer an omakase popup. The shop is beautiful, and the service was very friendly and helpful. I'll certainly return for more shopping but next time I plan to make a meal of it and try their teishoku set.

Cuisine: 6 Service: 7…read moreDecor: 7 Value: 6 Overall: 6 I have to preface that, if I had reviewed Hibino in the past, they likely would have received 4 stars. Unfortunately, my latest experience was such a letdown that I have to average that into this review. My usual order here over 10+ years has always been their Kaisen Don, which had some of the better quality sushi rice available in Queens. If you don't think sushi rice is important, then skip my review. If you do, then know that my preference is slight warm rice that does not clump together, with a nice touch of vinegar. Hibino seems to get this part right regularly, but not this past Sunday. It was cold, clumpy, and super light on seasoning. Furthermore, as soon as the bowl arrived, I was a bit skeptical since it's not the usual square box filled with premium goodies. Instead, it was a smaller round bowl with relatively common pieces of sashimi. In the past, there were toro, ikura, uni and scallop, but none were present on Sunday. The only premium pieces I received was the spotted prawn. The rest were salmon, yellowtail, bluefin tuna, sea bass, and arctic char. More importantly, some of the sashimi pieces were somewhat mushy and slightly fishy, not the best quality. On the other hand, we also ordered their Chirashi, which had seared toro, yellowfin tuna, salmon belly, yellowtail belly, shrimp, and flying fish roe. Between the proteins and rice is a layer of shredder egg. Sadly, rice was still cold and lacked flavor, but the egg did help a bit. Though I prefer the thin slices of sashimi in the Kaisen Don over the chunky pieces of fish in the Chirashi, I did prefer the latter on that day. Bottom line, I will give them another chance, but the downgrade on the quality of rice and premium seafood in the Kaisen Don was a major disappointment. Praying my next visit restores my faith in the restaurant.
