It's not easy buying a headstone for someone you love and have lost. I lost my 24 year old son and I was dreading the process of getting a head stone. Mattos Monuments did a good job helping us select our dad's headstone. I really appreciated the fact they didn't try to upsell up on anything. We didn't want to spend a lot and wanted something pretty simple. The process of picking out the stone, the text, and font went quickly and efficiently. It did seem that we went a long time without hearing any updates...but just when I'd start to wonder if I should reach out, I'd get an email. So maybe some quick updates via email as to where they were in the process would have been appreciated. The first proof was good, except that the text at the bottom of the headstone was clearly way too small in proportion to the rest of it, so I was kinda surprised that no one noticed that and improved it before sending us the proof. Not a big deal...we asked for them to enlarge the font and they did so right away. Parking is a bit difficult/confusing at their office, but nothing much can be done to improve on that, I suppose. All in all, generally a good experience, and I would recommend them. read more
