In February Evan helped my boyfriend & I buy a new mattress because I've been having serious SI joint issues in my back & herniated a disk back in December that crippled me for at least a week. He was very patient with us and showed us different mattresses, pillows and explained the differences. He spent quite a lot of time with us. Not a review of the store, but the company. Since starting my search, I have been getting inundated with emails. All offering "up to 70% off" or some other deal, that seems to only apply to beds nobody wants. Price of the 2 I am interested in hasn't ever changed in 4 weeks. What really irritates me is the "Flash sale" of up to 25% off anything. Sale always starts late at night and ends early morning so you never see it, until you have missed it. read more

My husband and I FINALLY replaced our old-handmedown mattress of 20ish years. We called to see if they had opened back up yet and thankfully they were open and ready for us! We jumped in the car and headed over! We took the test online and tried them out and HATED them and Loree was so kind and helped us find our perfect bed. She wasn't pushy (like every sales person seems to be) and she gave us our space and really helped us find the best deal within our budget! Liz called me to right the mistake made in selling me a great full sized bed and talked me into the mattress protector - (a mattress pad of sorts but sent the wrong queen size) after a 45 minute drive to Carson city NV from Lake Tahoe. She told me a full size mattress pad was on the way and that I could KEEP the Queen size one which is nice but I don't have need for it. WEll the mattress was delivered 10 days ago and my bed still isn't made as I don't have the promised full size protector and have been sleeping on the mattress with a sleeping bag for over a week. She is very nice but seemed very upset that I posted the review. QUALITY ASSURANCE is part of the job. it doesn't end with a commission. Happy with the bed. Not thrilled with this situation, Does anyone want to buy this queen size mattress protector that will extend my life through the mattress?! UPS just today delivered the full sized mattress wrap so I can make my bed after ten days.... I felt badly about writing a review rather than calling her and getting this fixed however Quality Assurance is vital to businesses and they did tell my pregnant daughter to drive to Carson City to make the exchange, that isn't cool. More communication necessary between the salesperson (who is the only one getting a commission) and the warehouse folks and drivers who do not get a commission. After researching the web for mattress stores in Carson City, we were drawn to Mattress Firm (near In-n-Out). When we walked in, we were warmly greeted by TJ who was operating the store by himself. It was mid to late afternoon and we were his first customers of the day. He assessed our needs and has us try a few mattresses. During that time two other couples came in and he was masterful at multitasking--making sure to give options to each of his prospective buyers. One couple decided on a product but the wife was pressing for an extreme bargain and even though we had made our decision, we could see it was going to be quite a wait. We checked on the close time and headed for nearby Costco. When we returned there was no one in the store. TJ did a great job writing up our oder and setting up financing. We engaged him in conversation and discovered that he had been in sales most of his life. When asked what he liked best about the job, the reply was assessing and meeting the needs of his customers. We certainly felt his dedication to that ideal during our encounters with him. We highly recommend this store for anyone interested in purchasing a mattress. Great service. Excellent store. Thank you Earl. He helped us pick out a midrange California king and queen mattress set for use in our cabin. We came from Echo Summit over to Carson City to make the purchase. The company delivered the following Friday to our cabin. We had one little mess up with one of our beds. We didn't realize how tall the mattress and box springs were. So, we had to order a smaller version of the boxspring. That was delivered the following Friday. There was a little mishap on one of the replacement box springs, but the company took care of it immediately and delivered the right part the next day. The delivery guys were excellent and courteous. I called Mattress Firm in Carson City to inform them of a major flaw recently discovered in my 3-month old mattress. They looked at my account and informed me that I had just passed the return/ exchange window, but that my warranty was still intact. However, when looking into the issue I was having, plus the time and effort that would be needed on my part to affect a warranty exchange, they quickly facilitated an immediate swap with a brand new mattress. My wife and I bought a king mattress from this location a few months back. After owning it for a little over 4 months it started busting out at the seams. We have literally only slept in this thing since we got it home. Since it was a clearance item it's not covered by a normal warranty and the extended warranty doesn't cover busted seams. I wish they would have told us exactly how limited the extended warranty was and what little it actually covers. When I called to file a claim I was told that the warranty basically only covers dents that are formed in the mattress and not really anything else. I will never buy from this company again. Now I'm stuck with a $1,500 mattress that I'm afraid to even move at the cost of further damage. Don't buy anything from clearance or certified preowned because you'll probably get stuck with a piece of hot garbage that isn't covered by warranty and can't be returned. read more

When I told him that I had a friend who had purchased a bed from a store that he loved and that I was thinking of purchasing one also, he proceeded to hand me a stapled paper handout that talked about what kind of bed bugs and mites live in beds that are four years old. When I pointed out that one of his selling points was that people are paying $2000 for mattress sets that are supposed to last them 20 years and that his handout was really total bull$&*!, on top of the fact that I was considering purchasing a NEW bed from the same store, he didn't really want to help me any more. Great service! My boyfriend and I went mattress shopping this past Saturday and figured why not make this our first stop? They have the Memorial Day sale going on all month, they usually have decent prices, and it seemed like the logical choice. When we arrived we were greeted by Earl. He was quick to offer his expertise in making sure we were going to get the best deal and find the perfect mattress. This being our first time mattress shopping, we didn't know what to expect. He asked us basic questions; how firm/soft do you like the mattress? Do you sleep on your sides or back or stomach? He even asked us if we had a budget (which we did), then he proceeded to show us a few that fit what we were looking for. **BTW, he even asked us what type of pillow we usually use so that when we tried out the mattresses, it was almost like the mattress was ours. What a plus! The great thing with Earl was that he wasn't pushy or trying to make a quick sale, he let us take our time in trying out each mattress. He went into detail about each mattress and informing us how and why it would be a good fit for us. He also chatted with us about random stuff so that didn't make the experience feel rushed or awkward. After maybe about a half hour of trying out a few, we finally settled on one that seemed perfect. I then had one final question for him: if someone could pay for the mattress over the phone since this was an early birthday gift to me from a family member. He said that wouldn't be an issue, and even threw in a mattress protector free of charge as a birthday gift! I highly recommend this store: the staff seems extremely well trained and knowledgable of the project they sell, they are patient with each customer, and they are very thoughtful and go over the top for each customer, making the overall experience that much more personal. So we had a few issues about getting taller legs for the bases of the new mattress because the bed was too low for my bed frame . I couldn't use the motorized feature for 2 weeks even though we had 3 appts to resolve this. Liz finally made things happen and they arrived today and it seems to work fine now. For several years now I've been wanting to buy a new queen mattress since mine was very old and tired. Having a saggy bed, I haven't been sleeping well, plus add restless legs to that. So I stopped by Mattress Firm to buy a bed. Thankfully, there were many choices. I picked out a Chatom & Wells mattress. As the saleswomen (Jordan) and I talked, I mentioned to her I had restless leg syndrome. She said her mother had that too. Her mother found great relief from her restless leg syndrome with the adjustable bed frame and its vibrating feature. After I tried it in the store, I was sold. Just a couple a days later (today) I received my mattress and adjustable frame this morning. I can hardly wait to go home from work and sleep in my new bed tonight. So our $4000 split king adjustable bed arrived this afternoon. The delivery company showed up on time and after they cut slits in our old mattress and box springs (rendering them useless), they told me they could not take our bed frame for "safety reasons," even though they offer free pick up and removal of old beds. The bed frame was put in our living room and left there. As they installed the bed, they knocked a picture off the wall and broke it. As they were leaving, I was informed that the sheets we were promised were on back order, forcing us to go out and purchase another set of sheets (the bed they removed and destroyed was a queen size and the sheets would not fit the new bed). Earl told my wife that the sheets would arrive with the bed. When my wife called to find out why we had no sheets, she was told that it was "out of their hands." BTW, the delivery company (Abe) asked me on his way out, if I knew of a handyman in the area because he had run over a Customers' fence during an earlier delivery. So I have a bed frame in my living room, a broken picture frame, and no sheets to sleep on... I would ask them to return my original bed, but that's out of the question because they destroyed it. read more

I purchased a Temper Pedic bed from this store, they were just great to do business with. It was an easy transaction, and the salesperson was very helpful and informative. After the bed was delivered it seemed to sit too low for me, and they sent their people out to adjust it twice, free of charge, until I was happy with it. Each time I went into the store, I was treated very respectfully and with cheerfulness, and they have done everything they could to make me happy. I walked into the store telling the woman my husband and I wanted to buy a mattress today. I told her our budget of $500 and she immediate said "we don't have many in THAT range because the quality decreases and we only have a couple". We are a military couple and I explained we didn't know when we would have to sell it because of over seas orders. She made us feel like our money was not good enough for her. I asked her for the price break down and she exhaled as if she was inconvenienced. When she was giving me prices she wasn't even able to separate the details for me, this on has this not that. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone! You are better off going to Mattress Land or Mattress King.
