After a successful shopping and delivery experience from this store, I discovered that two bolts on the bed frame were stripped, preventing the feet from screwing on. Walking into the store I was greeted and then helped to arrange pickup of the defective frame and delivery of a new frame, as an exchange. I second all the 5/5 star reviews here. We bought 2 mattresses here this past week and Glenn was a pleasure to work with. He was knowledgeable, courteous, helpful and very patient. He knew exactly what kind of mattress worked well for us based on our requirements. The store also has a wide selection which makes decision making easy. They also have a 4 month 'try and exchange' offer which I believe extends to all mattresses (please verify). I went into there store on Saturday 12.14.18 and I was greeted by Laura with a smile . She took the time to explain all my options and I told her i would be back. I then called her on Monday and she answered additonal questions for me. I stopped on my way home more questions answered and on 3rd trip to the store a purchase was made. After consulted with Jeff, we narrowed it to 2 options and after trying back and forth between the two, we decided to take the Brooklyn. I have to congratulate the staff at Mattress Firm. They were beyond helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and answered all our questions. We were shopping for 3 mattresses and they gave us all the time we needed to try and pick out the right ones for each of us. They weren't trying to push any sales on us or trying to have us look at the most expensive ones, they listened to our needs and tried to steer us in the right direction. We had board a mattress in a different town and felt pushed to buy a certain kind, turned out our backs were aching on it. This time we took our time and though we've only had it for about a week, this one is a keeper. We went with a medium firm instead of a firm and it made all the difference. Thank you, Juan, for spending so much time with us. You made this experience worthwhile and your patience with us trying out all the beds (almost) in the store and changing out mattresses so the kids could try different ones made this purchase easy. I'm giving them a 4 for the purchase process but a 2 for the return process. It's not the no risk try some mattresses policy that I thought it was. The sales process was pretty good. They were friendly and helpful. But the returns and exchange process is quite a nightmare. I purchased a firm mattress because my awful current sleep number was not supportive at all and giving me horrible back pains recently. I went in and purchased a firm mattress. After trying it for a bit, my back still hurt a lot so I ended up just sleeping on my guest foldout mattress. I exchanged it for their firmest mattress (you only get one exchange and there are some fees involved). My back continues to hurt, and it doesn't seem like it supports my body the way I need it to (it's mushy where it's not supposed to be and firm where it's not supposed to be). I went back to return it. They told me that there would be a 20% restocking fee for the mattress (which is $2000) and I couldn't return any of the "free" stuff that came with the mattress such as the box spring, the metal frame and the pillow and mattress protector. On top of that, I went into the store, and filled out paperwork with this older gentleman Tom who normally works at the Pleasanton store. He told me there would be a 21 day waiting period before I could return it, but assured me that someone would call me on 10/15 and pick it up on 10/17. I never received a call. I called the store back on 10/24. The guy there said the manager would call me back but he didn't. I called on 10/25, the same guy said he gave all the paperwork to the manager, Juan, and informed him of my issue, and that I should call Juan on 10/26. I called Juan on 10/26, and he told me that this was the first time he had heard about my issue and that he would call me back since he was with a customer. Waited 40 minutes. No call. Called him back. He was with a different customer. I insisted that he talk to me so I waited awhile for him to finish up with the customer, and then he helped me. Got it all sorted out so I am basically paying $560 for trying 2 beds. Is it worth it? Maybe. Still waiting for the confirmation of my refund though. read more

If I could give this store zero stars, I would. We were having an issue with the online order and we're told to go inside. After checking to see if the store was open, and being reassured that it opened at 11, we decided to go in around 11:30. We get there and there "open" sign was off as well as the lock was on the door but we still tried to open it just in case. Sure enough there was a rather large man sitting there. We explained our issue and he replied "sorry bro I can't help at all". We decided to go to a different store in the same town with the same issues and the man there was a complete help. New staff is a great suggestion for your store. read more
