Stopped by Sunday early evening to check out their sofa selection, as the Hayward Macy's Furniture outlet closed. Large showroom off 580. Many sofa selections, one part of showroom is for leather and one side is fabric. All the mattresses are in back. Smaller selection of dining and bedrooms sets, patio sets. Someone welcomed us when we came in but we prefer to peruse at our own leisure so salesperson leave us to be, thankfully. Usually each sofa option comes in at least 3 color options, and custom colors are available. Sale is happening now, as low as $700(+delivery) for a 3-seater. Will update once we decide. read more

Lots of selections for sofa, but not for beds or dining table. Chris Heng approached me as soon as I entered the store. He showed me every single couch, sofa, sectional that it's on the floor. His customer service is awesome, I'll be back and look for him when in need of new furniture. Price that day that I was there is way lower than on macys website. He even assured me of the holiday coming up, if price drop, give him a call for price adjustment. If you pre-order for custom colors, will take 3-5 months. I don't understand the bad review, I scheduled for my sectional delivery the following week, and it was delivered this morning. The service was exceptional, red carpet, they removed my old couch to the garage, vacuumed, setup my new set. No garbage left behind, I didn't have to struggle putting things together. Buyer beware: I never recieved the customer care for a $1100.00 plus dollar purchase on a sealy euro top matress that I thought for sure a lady would understand my concerns as well as my needs. She was kind enough but not at all concerned with my need for help to find a matress that could actully be comfortable for a toss turning, side sleeper. 2 years in and I have not used it to it's full capacity and all I probably can get is I am sorry I failed you? Send an inspector to come to tell me that its not covered under manufactor warranty? Meri-Jo was the lady I thought would be the one I could trust and here me enough to know she had to actually work to show me all my options for my side sleeping concerns with back and shoulder aches. I can say that it was the worst experience to see in hindsight how it was all handled so wrong in my case. She basically let me sell myself on what I might of thought was best for me istread of showing me all the options I could of had. I am still in the process of waitng to hear that I will be out all that money with none rightnow to replace it anytime soon due to 2 surgeries and on medical disability. I would of thought that this experince should of been hands down better than ordering matresses online through Costco, but I was very let down and disappointed. ***This review is not specific to this location. It's in general review of Macy's Furniture*** I purchased a mattress from Stoneridge store. The sales lady, Jackie, was great. The mattress arrived as delivered. After a week of sleeping on it, the mattress developed a clicking noise. I called the Macy's Furniture Customer Service. What A Nightmare!! The call center is located in the Philippines. There's no ownership, management or anyone, who can make a decision and take care of a customer. After hours of wait, they decided to send an inspector to see what's going on. After 60 days wait, Carlos, came to inspect. Carlos stated he's going to check the firmness of the mattress. I told him that my issue was clicking springs. However, Carlos didn't care. He was trained to check the firmness which was unrelated to my issue. Since the mattress is defective and impossible to sleep, I decided to return it. Macy's is charging 15% restocking fee and $99 pickup. My sleep worth more than that. But, I have filed a legal case against Macy's Furniture to recover the unjustified charges. My advice, AVOID MACY'S FURNITURE! read more

I love that this furniture gallery offers just about everything. My most recent visit was in search of a very specific item that I didn't find, but I don't hold that against the place because I haven't found it anywhere locally. They have an entire wall of different types of fabrics in just about every color you can imagine. You can take any of the fabric samples off the wall and sample them on the different furniture pieces you're interested in or take them into different lighting. I'm so disappointed with my experience at this store location. My husband and I are furnishing our new home and purchased a bed set in addition to several other pieces from their bedroom line. My order was delivered 7 months after the purchase without any kind of follow up communication or check in. I asked for an explanation for the delay and received no response. Furthermore, I asked that a minor shipping fee be waived for the major inconvenience. No accommodation was made in favor of the customer and I truly believe there is no appreciation or value for customers. I warn any potential buyers that salespeople seem to be untrained and misguided by the Store Manager Anis. I'm now moving forward with Macy's Corporate to file an official complaint and hope to receive some kind of accountability for the mishandling of orders and customer communications. read more

Follow Up From An Initial Purchase: We purchased a new bed that came with a free adjustable base a few months ago (August). Great sales person we dealt with and we spent a lot of money for a King Coil mattress "on sale." I really hate it when a great sales person sells you sells you good or service and if something goes wrong, the repair department is not as helpful. Personally, I could never sell something that doesn't back up a product but if I was on commission/quota and didn't care about you, but saw you as a check book, then possibly. We just earned a giant "L" on our foreheads! In addition, I do not recommend the King Coil brand. We feel like we're sleeping on a hill and if you roll over, you might fall off the bed. We're stuck in the middle! Flash forward to present: Buyer Beware! The adjustable base is not working and my husband called the sales rep we worked with who referred him to customer service. He was being shuffled around the system like a ping pong ball as if he will give up but this only infuriated him. In the end, the warranty on the frame is only valid for 90 days unless you want to pay a lot more moolah extend the warranty. Or we could spend $100 for a new remote. Lessons Learned: - We will NEVER purchase an adjustable base, ever! - We are done making any future purchases here. read more

I love this Macy's furniture store. I love everything macys, I think it's a great department store that offers important service to the community in spite of all of the online shopping boom. This particular store has great furniture from dining tables to bedroom sets to sectionals. People who work here are very friendly are interested in you as a customer. And a great part of the store is a mattress section and area rugs section. Both have great selections to choose from. Needed a new couch, fell in love with a couch here that was the perfect size and super comfy, and picked out a fabric and color from the ~100 of material options. It has now been 9 months and we still don't know when the couch will be delivered. Our initial estimate was 5 months. I called at that point and was given a pushback of 1 month. I called then and was given a pushback of 3 more weeks. I called then and now the pushback is 2 more months. The guy working with us is really nice and telling us the manufacturer has a problem getting the material we picked. So we said let's pick another material. Well apparently out of the ~100 options only 1 color/fabric would be faster.....and it would still be a month out. So now we are waiting the 2 months. Why not just cancel at this point you might ask? Well it turns out the initial deposit they collect when you order is nonrefundable. Which they don't tell you, it's just in the fine print. Screw us right. I sincerely hope we get our couch within the year. And I will never get furniture here again. read more

I can't help but have mixed feelings about this store. We have been in a total of 3 times this year and our experience has widely varied depending on the day and time we came in. The first time we came to the store, we were approached rather quickly and attended to throughout the visit. Kenya checked in with us frequently even though we told her we weren't ready to buy just yet (we hadn't taken measurements due to the remodeling job at home). On our next visit (a Sunday afternoon) we came in with dimensions in hand yet, could not for the love of God, get anyone to help us. At. All. It was extremely frustrating that we had to flag down staff just to make a purchase. Had I anticipated this type of service, I would've just made the purchase on Macy's.com. Our last visit was a mixed bag; the salesperson was there but made tons of mistakes throughout the transaction. I had to call the online rep to rectify several issues regarding the warranty and delivery times. I have to say I'm on the fence about recommending this place due to the spotty service and inconsistencies. On a positive note, the quality of the furniture is fantastic as is the "worrynomore" guarantee. And that is the only reason I would recommend Macy's furniture. read more

Reached out to a salesman who promised to send someone to me, no one showed up for 30+ minutes so asked the same salesman who now declined to recognize me and his commitment to send someone. There was no more than 3-4 customers in the store at that time. There were many salespersons in the store that looked too busy(alone) and not willing to even make eye contact. Rating the product and extended warranty services not the staff. We bought very expensive power recline sofas that have given us nothing but trouble over the past 2 years - constant issues with the switches and mechanism have left us with sofas stuck in odd positions many times. To make matters worse, the extended warranty services (Macy's Worry No More) have been horrendous - long wait times to get an agent - then you have to schedule time a week or two out to speak to a technician - and then another few weeks before they do a home visit - thus if you have an issue it is literally a month before you will get help. I am done w buying anything from Macy's Furniture. Disclaimer - the staff at the store is great and incredibly courteous - I am rating the product and warranty only. read more

Long overdue review! Christopher was great in helping us select a L shaped couch for our new home. He was able to show us different styles, the drawbacks to the couches, explain different materials and color options. Christopher was really patient with us as we looked over our choices. We selected the couch we wanted and Christopher said it would 6 months to be delivered. I honestly thought he was joking and laughed but he looked at me seriously and said yes, it could take 6 months and this was before the supply chain issues. Such a nice selection. I'm currently looking for something comfortable for the upstairs family room. A room no guest will ever see so I want it to be comfortable at the expense of beautiful. I found a really nice love sack type couch here. They have two different models - to me the only difference was the shape of the arm of which I was indifferent to. The love sack here is magical. It is a sectional that you can build any which way you desire. The configuration I'm set on is the smallest possible chase lounge sectional. What is so great about is is that you tuck the ottoman in and you've got a queen size bed. Forget those sectionals with a tiny "snuggler" at the end and with one of these there is no point to have to go to bed. Reasonable shipping prices and inventory is abundant for quick delivery. Located in Pleasanton off of Rosewood Drive near a strip mall (Near a Starbucks if you need a coffee fix). This location has a wide variety of selections from Sofas to Beds and everything in between! We were greeted by Greg, one of the Reps there. The nice gentlemen asked how we were doing and what brought us in. I explained to him that we were looking for a new sofa because we gifted my sister with our current sofa, since she just got her first place! He wasn't pushy and allowed us to look around. At this time we looked and found a 5-Piece Chaise Sectional Sofa with an Ottoman, that we thought would be perfect for our Condo. Later we went home to measure the living room area and found that our choice was a little too big for our Condo's living room area (Sectional Originally Approx. Total Dimensions: 148"W x 113"D x 30"H; 376cm x 287cm x 76cm). Greg, reminded us that we can customize the Chaise as well as the pieces to fit our needs or style. So our 5-Piece Chaise Sectional Sofa turned into a 6-Piece Chaise Sectional Sofa (Total approx. dimensions: 100"W x 128"D x 30"H) with the color that we wanted including the Ottoman. Greg was very accommodating and helped us customize the Sectional Sofa that we choose. He helped us make the best choices to fit our needs and we didn't have to put any stress into our decisions. Forget about the "worry no more" extra warranty because they just deny your claim, saying that it's your fault. I'm telling everyone to stay away!!!!! Macys you've LOST ANOTHER CUSTOMER! No wonder your company is doing so poorly. Your products and customer service are horrible. Anything related to Macys should be avoided. Zero stars for Macy's furniture delivery. I wish I read these reviews before purchasing!! They arrived at my NEIGHBORS place after postponing my delivery window FIVE times and left right away (yes I took the day off from work so I can be there when they arrive). They didn't even bother to call me or find the correct unit number. Now, they're telling me I have to wait a week for a new delivery date, well guess what, I'm going to call tomorrow and cancel the whole order. Integrity is so important and if your drivers lie because they want to go home early let them lie but I refuse to let that ruin my schedule or my family's comfort. Why can't we do NO STARS! WORST buying experience ever. Worse than buying a car. I wanted to walk away several times but felt like we had invested too much time already. Had I known how much worse it would get, I never would have continued. Sales people are idiots, liars and cheats. Even the manager who was supposed to help with FINALLY finalizing the purchase had no clue what she was doing, after 30 minutes waiting on her trying to figure out how to accept payment, we left. Furniture arrived damaged, they won't reply to emails or phone calls. Horrible customer service. We paid over $7,000 for the furniture and I HATE them because of the experience they represent. Would not recommend. I bought a number of furniture pieces here and was talked into buying the warranty on the furniture. Here is the thing. It's a total scam! If you clean exactly how they advise and follow the policy word for word they find a way to stop warranty coverage. Not only that but I had a claim that took 9 months to process! 9 months! Then they sent the replacement fabric by itself! Fabric that needs to be installed on the sofa itself not just a cover. But then they told me that too much time had passed!!!! It took THEM 9 months! On the original piece that wasn't replaced they told me that it has excessive stain! It was the stain they "cleaned" the list goes on. Unbelievable the scam they are running. I will always give 1 star to businesses that refuse to acknowledge my existence. My husband and I are completely remodeling our master bedroom. I walked into this store on a Monday afternoon, with my two young daughters by my side, hoping to find a new king size bedroom set that matched our tastes. We walked through the entire store, made eye contact with multiple employees that were not helping anyone, and not once did anyone speak a word to us. The few customers that were being helped by employees could easily be categorized as a certain type that I am not. I can only assume that because my husband wasn't with me, because I had two very small children with me, and because I was wearing very simple clothes and no jewelry, the employees thought I must not have been there to spend any amount of money. I did see several bedroom sets that I liked, but I'll be damned if I'm about to spend several thousand dollars at a business that refuses to acknowledge me. The buying experience was fine, it was the delivery that upset me. I knew I wasn't going to have the experience I was use to when I saw the unmarked delivery truck in front of my house when I arrived. I thought oh grief, Macy's uses outside contractors now. To start, I was promised I would receive a call with a window for my appointment but instead I received a call from the driver telling me he would be there in 15 minutes. This was an inconvenience since I didn't sleep at home since I got rid of all of my old bedroom furniture to make room for the new. I quickly rushed home and met the delivery guys outside and they off-loaded and assembled the furniture. I was disappointed they didn't roll out the red Macy's rug to protect my doorway and carpet and wear booties as they normally do, but I didn't complain. The issue arouse when I asked if he was taking my old bedding as I was promised, he said he couldn't because he didn't have room in his truck. I later realized this was a flat out lie, since he had just off-loaded a king size bed, King mattress, King box spring and Dresser. How could he possibly not have room???? He said he would take it outside for me and have someone else come back and get it. It sat in front of my house for 3 days. I finally called Macy's customer service Monday and was promised I would receive $50 off of my furniture for the inconvenience. I was also promised a call on this day to arrange for the pick up of my old mattress. I never received this call. On Tuesday, I finally rented a Uhaul for $68 and paid $50 to dump it at my local dump since the Thanksgiving holiday was approaching. I don't want my house to look like a dump on the holiday and I'm sure my neighbors don't want this either. The $50 credit I was given was an insult in my opinion. What about the inconvenience, my time and reimbursement for the truck rental? They finally called me back on Wednesday to schedule the pick up, but I had already disposed of the mattress. If you have been a Macy's furniture customer because of the great customer service, go elsewhere because good customer service is now a thing of the past. read more

Went in today shopping for mattress. Having recently purchased a sleep number bed which turned out to not fit my needs, slept hot, and basically felt like a really expensive air mattress I was on the hunt for a new bed. I walked into the mattress department and Ed Breuner approaches me and my wife. I told him we were just looking and we didn't need any help. We thought we were looking for a regular non pillow top mattress. He obliged to our wishes and let us look no pressure. After trying some mattresses he gave us some advice and left us to try different mattresses until we narrowed down what we were looking for. When it came time for us to ask some questions he was the most knowledgeable and informative sales rep about the products that were represented on his sales floor. He was polite, friendly and personable and wasn't pushy. He made sure we were comfortable in our decision before we decided to buy a mattress. After all was said and done he gave us his card and said if we had any further questions give him a call. We had such a pleasant experience and such excellent customer service we gave a friend of ours who is in the market for a mattress his information. read more
