    Heirloom Tomato Salad

Valet didn't seem to 100% have it together. When we arrived we were told twice that the servers were in a meeting. Once our server came over, she was quite attentive. Most of the staff appears young and new. The restaurant is fairly new itself and I think folks are just getting their sea legs. I did have at least two servers walk directly in front of me as I was heading to and from the restroom. This is a pet peeve of mine, having worked in many restaurants. Basic courtesy shouldn't have to be taught, but does need to be these days. We opted to indulge in the restaurant week menu $42/ 3 courses. We both chose oysters to start; mine were baked (2) and both were tasty. My dining Companion opted for (4) raw oysters. Additionally, they did give her one bonus oyster. Next course, I opted for the heirloom tomato salad, which was a nice portion and very flavorful and fresh. My dining companion got the sautéed mussels and said they were delicious. For our main courses, I chose the seared yellowfin tuna steak, my companion chose the tuna Poké bowl. Mine was fresh and the vegetables appeared a nice preparation. My companion unfortunately was disappointed in the Poké bowl, feeling that the sauce overpowered the taste of the tuna. I also ordered a Tamarindo cocktail which was delicious. She opted for a couple glasses of MOHUA Sauvignon Blanc. The price was right on her drinks @ $10/glass. We also tried the cherry tomato focaccia, served as two large and long pieces. It was yummy ($8). I also opted for the Affogato. It was mostly good, but probably probably could've given a little bit more gelato and the gelato had a bit of ice at the bottom of it. Will I come back? Likely. But more likely that I'll just head back to the original for the views and the tried and true menu.

This afternoon, we decided to try Matunuck Atelier, inspired by our past experience at Matunuck Oyster Bar before last year's devastating fire. We were also happy to hear that the Oyster Bar is expected to reopen in mid-April--wonderful news. The space is elegant yet relaxing, with a large central bar and a spacious dining room that feels both comfortable and inviting. We had a 3:30 pm reservation but arrived a bit early. Parking was easy, with a large lot and several valet attendants available. Upon entering, Jerry at the front desk greeted us warmly and seated us immediately. His friendly and welcoming demeanor set a great tone for the afternoon. We started with four jumbo Gulf shrimp cocktail--fresh and very tasty. We also shared the spicy tuna roll and the Ora King salmon & crab roll, both exceptionally fresh and well-prepared. For our main courses, I had the grilled local yellowfin tuna steak, while my husband ordered the blackened tuna bánh mì with a side salad. Both dishes were flavorful and cooked perfectly. We finished with a dessert called When Chocolate Meets Coffee, which was excellent--a rich and satisfying ending to the meal. Our waitress, Bobana, was wonderful--sweet, professional, and attentive throughout. She checked on us regularly, refilled our water, and even brought lemon and lime without being asked. She truly made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The only downside was the cocktail we shared, "Perfectly Pear'D," which lacked balance and did not seem to have much alcohol. Overall, an excellent meal with great service in a beautiful setting. We would absolutely return--though next time, we will likely skip the cocktails.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night and the place was packed. We had a reservation but still waited a few minutes before our table was ready. The ambiance felt sophisticated yet cozy and relaxed. We ordered the Tamarindo and the Sweet Miso'ry cocktails. Both were good, though I preferred the Tamarindo slightly. For food, we tried the chili-spiced cucumber, the Yin Yang roll, the spicy tuna roll, and the bolognese. The cucumber dish had a nice mix of flavors, though I expected a bit more heat. Both sushi rolls were good, with the spicy tuna standing out a little more. The bolognese was quite different from what I've had before, but the pasta itself was really delicious. The Night Shift martini was a great after-dinner drink. Service was good throughout the meal. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and the valet service was convenient.

Excited to visit Matunuck Atelier for the first time! For starters - excellent idea to have Valet parking. The place was hopping and the valets were quick and attentive. Beautifully appointed restaurant with a great bar area. The seating was a bit tight with neighbors very close by and yes - it was very busy - and loud. The menu was good - lots of choices! The focaccia bread looked amazing. I really enjoyed my pasta dish with scallops. It was so fresh and delicious- perfected prepared! Waitress was very attentive as well. Overall nice experience and it won't be my last!

Where am I? The greenery, the table flowers! We started with the most delicately lobster volvaue leek soup. Caesar salad, Ceviche, Pearl and Palm oysters with caviar, Ying Yang roll with crab, salmon and tuna. What a fabulous lunch we had. Oh did I tell you we started with our traditional Tito's martini Or did I say that Casey our waitress had a smile that made our day Thank you for a most memorable meal Joe and Brenda

Everything was excellent! The service staff was wonderful, attentive yet not intrusive. Delivery slowed down a bit as we waited for our entries. Impressive how Very smooth it went for opening week. The space is beautiful with a nice vibe and stunning modern decor. There were 2 house managers roaming around and checking in with guests. They did not stop in at not our table though. I do think that if there was some sort of "wall" or partition at the end of the bar, between the bar and the dining room, it would be more intimate and maybe reduce the noise a tad. All and all a wonderful experience. So happy that they have opened closer to us. I cannot wait to come back. Reservations recommended!!!

Sooooo good!! The restaurant itself is beautiful. I love that. It's only valet. Free valet can't go wrong with that. The olive bread appetizer was delicious. Drinks I can't even describe how good they were. The tomahawk, we literally can split it between two people so so good.

Fresh included: Lobsters, variety of oysters, variety of clams, salmon, scallops Prepared included: House made 1 1/4 pound Stuffed Lobsters, Loaded Stuffed lobster Tails $16.99, Snail Salad, Fruti di Mare Salad, lobster ravioli, crab cakes For lunch, we ordered: Big Daddy Seafood Stuffies with lobster, shrimp, clams, sea scallops, & bacon were excellent. They had Just the right amount of seasoned breadcrumbs. Gourmet Stuffie was good. Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms were outstanding. They had pieces of scallops and lobster. Crab Cakes were mediocre and certainly not Baltimore style good. Fruti Di Mare cold salad was great because it consisted of large scallops, Shrimp & tender calamari rings in a savory vinegar dressing with herbs. Check out my photos. The market had several displays of Thai and Asian bottled sauces plus a nice variety of hot sauces. I bough a box of Unami broth packets and a Hot Sauce with Tequila and Lime. On Friday's, they serve take out seafood. For example, two Fish Fries are $24.99. We had a great time looking around and feeling amazed at the variety of sea food. The market is well lit, and there is no smell of raw fish! Prices and descriptions can be found for every item. Friendly staff members answered questions. We will be back when we vacation here next year!
