**This is a review for the experience, it is not for the food. My friend wanted to go to SKY for her birthday, so I made a reservation for sunset. After reading the reviews, I opted for drinks and apps, and booked dinner elsewhere. Our table had a nice view, though to take a photo with the sunset, there is only a small corner where this can be done. Our service was good, and the drinks came out quickly. We shared the charcuterie board, which was fine, but just okay for the price. We came on a beautiful evening and it was lovely to sit on the rooftop with good friends and drinks, enjoying the view. I think the experience was great based on our planning and expectations.

VIEWS - and a great sunset is what's up at Sky Waikīkī! We came here for oysters and champagne and it was a beautiful day . Special shout out to Damian for always being so welcoming and inviting! Highly recommend asking for his section whenever you are here . Great vibes always !! Will be back !!

We went for happy hour and the food was solid - good prices. The appetizers were great and there were many options. The appeal of the location was primarily the view and ambiance. Service was solid and we got great seats to see most of Waikiki. Enjoyed our time here.

The coconut girl was way too sweet! I like sweet but this was cloying. I couldn't even taste the alcohol unfortunately. The prosciutto was good but we were expecting local fruits, this didn't hit the mark. Finally, we had a reservation and weren't even seated with a view. The food was meh. I recommend skipping this place if you're visiting.

This is a rooftop experience you should try. The views are great and the open air is something to experience. I arrived after 7 and got a bar top table next to the glass. I ordered the sashimi sampler, the Japanese style oysters, the lobster bisque, a house margarita and espresso martini. The fish was very good and delicate but lacked some flavor. The oysters themselves were very good but in my opinion the amount of soy added was heavy. The lobster bisque was a bit of a disappointment. The soup was topped with a giant puff pastry, which was very nice but the ratio of soup to pastry was a little off in my opinion. Also the two pieces of lobster in my soup were very overcooked and rubbery, but the flavor was good. The drinks were fine. For the price/quality of food I rate it a 4. It is definitely a 5 for the view and ambience.

Celebrated a friend's birthday here at Sky. It's a rooftop spot with stunning panoramic views. There were a lot of groups there, so it's a great place for birthdays, reunions, or any kind of gathering. The staff were attentive and made sure we were taken care of throughout the night. The food portions varied depending on the dish, but overall it was a fun, lively place to celebrate with friends while enjoying the beautiful Waikiki skyline.

If you are in Honolulu, this is the one place you need to check out! Food was great. We didn't take a pic of our wing dings but it was delicious. The ladies who served us was great! If you go to the women's restroom, make sure you Venmo or to tip the Nana so gives you an assortment of bathroom goodies! Fun place to just chill, celebrate a birthday or just have fun here in the 808!

OVERALL: food was disappointing as were the views FOOD: overcooked short ribs with sauce that tastes like ketchup, bad octopus that was overcooked and had random pieces of spam and a black sauce that added no value. Small portions but enough for two to share. Mocktails were great. SERVICE: hostesses were great--super friendly and helpful. I had an interaction with a waitress waiting on a table next to mine who was so rude. She was a young blonde with a high braided ponytail. Our actual waitress was friendly and professional though. VENUE: very small. You only get a decent view if you're sitting in the area in front of the bar and even then all you get is a view of buildings. Everyone else sits along the glass wall with views of the parking lot. Pretty sure all the review about the views are fake having now been there. It is also hard to find the place but it's next to the H&M

One of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time, thanks to Amanda. She was attentive, genuine, and made everything feel effortless. Her service elevated the whole night--we even ordered extra rounds just because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Amanda is a standout. Highly recommend.

We arrived early for our reservations but were sat promptly. We were greeted by Damian and he was an amazing server. He brought out some water and allowed us sometime to go over the menu. He was very welcoming and friendly! I loved the vibe up there. The skyline was lit by the surrounding buildings, the music was relaxing and beautiful, and the breeze was refreshing. Shout out to the musician there. His voice was so smooth and velvety and his guitar playing was amazing. I loved every second. I ordered a strawberry mojito and tried the espresso martini. I enjoyed the mojito. It was refreshing. The espresso was a bit strong on the espresso side but still enjoyed. I'd definitely come back.

A sleek rooftop bar with stunning views and a laid-back upscale vibe. The sushi is fresh, beautifully presented, and genuinely standout, while the cocktails are creative and well-balanced. Service is attentive without feeling over the top. Pricey, but absolutely worth it for the full experience.

We came here for the view, Happy Hour, small bites, and of course their Mai Tai's. The view was amazing exactly what we expected. It was extremely hot, so the waitress offered us an umbrella. The umbrella was awkward because you had to hold it with one hand and eat with the other hand. So we chose to move our table to the shade. We ordered the wings and truffle fries. The wings were okay, it wasn't what I expected. Not a lot of seasoning, bland and no dipping sauce. The truffle fries lived up to their name. Crispy, nicely plated and a nice blend of cheese. I really don't know what to say about their Mai Tai. It wasn't the best Mai Tai and it wasn't the worst. It was on the sweeter side but it was okay. This place is excellent for the view and maybe some of their entrees but it's not a good choice for Happy Hour.

By far my favorite rooftop bar in Waikiki. Great entertainment, solid drinks, good food and excellent service. The best views of Waikiki. Vibes and energy here are amazing!!!

What music genres is played there?

Does this turn into a club after restaurant hours?

Yes, with free entry if you had dinner there

Is there a cover charge and dress code (can shorts be worn) for the club?

There is a cover charge of about $20 dollars and the dress code is formal so no shorts.

Hi, Need reservation for Saturday night? Tks.

100% get a reservation! We were seated very quickly but it was very busy!

    Can kids dine?

I feel like when I was there there were some quiet, well behaved well dressed children there with their posh looking parents...I'd say best behavior is probably the standard because most people don't want to hear kids screaming or running around at… Read more

    Is this the revolving restaurant?

Top of Waikiki was the revolving restaurant, located above Sky Waikiki. They have been closed since the pandemic.

Do we need to have reservation? Or is it first come first serve?

I highly recommend reservations but they have some seating for walk-in's

    Are Kids allowed?

I have been there twice with young children (4-6 year olds). It wasn't a problem at all but perhaps because they were happily sitting and not loud.

    Is there a Dress code?

I believe there isn't. My hubby wore his slippers shorts and button up short sleep

    Where is the parking?

You have to park in the garage about two blocks away. Look up parking garages on your maps.

Do we need to make reservations if we are only there to order drinks at the bar?

Yes the bar seating is really limited (like 6 seats) so I'd recommend a reservation.

    Is there Happy Hour?

    Yes!

Do we have to make a reservation?

No but it's wise too. If you don't, I would show up early and there may be a wait.

    Is there parking validation?

Yes but I believe you need to spend $50 or more.

How do you make a reservation? No one ever answers the phone :(

Go online to Open Table or use the app.

    Is there a dress code?

There is a sign that says no beach wear.

So you take walk ins? If we came at around 5:30 on a Friday night would we be able to get sat by 7 or so? Or is it like impossible to get sat w/o a reservation?? PS i am…

Good luck on a walk in. Making a reservation gets you sat in the seat with a view.

Do they have a better number to call? No one answers the number posted and when it goes to voicemail, it refers to another number...

Nope. They just don't answer. You have to go in.

Is there an age limit during early hours?

No age limit. I saw young children with their parents eating. All good.

Can you just order drinks? Or do you have to order food as well?

Now you can. Before you had to order food with the COVID-19 city mandated restrictions.

When you come through the beach, you have the option of dining at the bar, which seems to be a totally different experience. The bar serves burgers and other bar foods, and we wanted something a little less casual. After entering through the bar, we ended up having to go to the desk inside. They added my name and took down my phone number to text when the table is ready. This place is huge. There is indoor seating with lots of grass "skirt" trim around some of the ceiling and bars, and the upholstery of the dining chairs are different colorful aloha prints. On the deck there are think torches and umbrellas and string lights. On the level just a few steps down are more umbrella tables and some musicians playing Hawaiian music. All around are photos of the famous Olympic champion, surgery, and actor Duke Kahanamoku. Much to my surprise, as I was looking around while waiting for a table, a girl asked if I was Denise. They didn't text me; rather, they jot down a brief description so they can just look around and find you. She sat us on the beach deck. Our server was fantastic, so friendly with lots of explanations and recommendations. They use an ordering system and it's fun like a week liked machine. Hubby's beer was delivered to our table before our server even walked away! We both ordered the teriyaki sirloin steak with mashed potatoes. It. Was. Freaking. Delicious. I was full, but couldn't stop eating because it was so good. Dukes is really a place where you know you are in Hawaii--the decor, the food, the music, the friendly service. A must order is the Duke's Mai Tai, their signature cocktail made with fresh Hawaiian juices & two types of rum. Surprisingly, they offer a breakfast, lunch, and dinner prime rib buffet. We just ordered off the menu. Surprise number two, the food is excellent. We ordered the Duke's Nachos with kalua pork. Chat gpt recommended this place and I have to say the AI was right! The place is really fun. You can park downstairs and they valet Park you and they will stamp you for free parking. The atmosphere is a fun vibe. They had live music. It's a indoor outdoor place. One thing to note, they don't serve their lunch menu after 4:00 so we went there expecting burgers and they don't serve them. So we kind of stayed reluctantly. I ended up ordering the guava ribs and my wife got them too. Those had to be the best ribs I think I have ever had! They literally fall off the bone as you're trying to pick up the meat. One of the reasons we wanted to go here was we wanted the options of seafood but one of our adults doesn't like seafood and they said that they had all kinds of stuff, which they do. Our server Maka, was incredible. He brings us out a free appetizer and said that was from the chef. I don't know if it was the chef or him but I was impressed and it was good. It was some kind of little fried dumpling. It was awesome! One of the people in our party had thought he was not going to order something and I gave him one of my ribs and after he tasted it, suddenly he wanted some too. I grabbed Maka and asked him If he could get those ribs fast because the rest of us were already halfway through our meals. He got right on it and had that order in. We were dying to go back this trip and sad to say, we left disappointed. The whole vibe changed from a fun Hawaiian restaurant to a yuppie upscale restaurant... however they still have the live music, which was a nice. The atmosphere was nice too. The menu items were minimal and surprising to us, none looked appealing. We did get a couple of appetizers, which were good... and a few samplers from the chef which were the best thing we had. But overall, is was a waste of money - and a lot of it!- I will share a positive though, the crème brûlée served in the bottom of a pineapple was delicious! It had a tangy, sweetness of pineapple that was delicious, as well as beautiful! Overall, not the same Tiki's. We did eat at food trucks and little hole in the wall places that had food that was better. Skip the bougie restaurants and go straight to the food trucks and little restaurants. Tip: ask the locals were the good food is. They will tell you it is for sure not at restaurants like these.... We asked.
