Hard to find, go into the parking lot, past all the shops, you think your are at wrong spot, but it is far in the back behind the gym. Arrived and greeted by a very granola (in a good way) girl. She was so kind, like a friend, and very helpful. Got to try my shots and the kombucha was very good. Ginger was my favorite. I am from Santa Cruz, so kombucha has been very popular for years and years, and I drink a lot. It is the best hangover or jet lag medicine, both were issues I had today. This kombucha was not the tartest or the most effervescent. It was an easy drinker. At home, I get some locally crafted stuff that is like WAYYYY more forceful, but this product is more toned down and tasty. I liked the flavor and despite what the one reviewer said, there was some solids (scooby) in mine. Here is where I get really excited- the place had a killer vibe. All the workers and customers were kind and smiled. Again, they are a little bit granola, but god, every one had amazing skin and bodies, I think it was kombucha. Weirdest way to end this wonderful experience? They do some strange give you free stuff giveaway that I won for being like the 20th customer. I literally got $4.20 off my bill, which was already cheap (like under $10 for two big kombuchas). Yes, I spent like $4 for my two drinks. I tipped the "discount" and walked out a happy guy. Okay, I see now why this little place gets such big reviews. Food, Kombucha, and service are the BEST! The bagels were absolutely delicious. Acai bowl was over the top. They pride themselves in making food with love. I can completely agree with that. We've gone there every morning this week, and everything has been consistently wonderful, including the friendly faces and kindness from the people who work there. Wonderful casual restaurant with fresh and healthy selection. Great desserts, I had the acai pie. My main course was bowl of flavored and very tasty... I forget the name. By far the most amazing, raw, vegan food I could find on the island. I went twice and munched on the raw bagels with chive and onion cream cheese and the matcha. The cream cheese was so amazing, I could barely tell the different between regular cream cheese (honestly even better). The next time I went, I had the raw pizza which also had the cheese on it and other veggies. Along with their raw kombucha. We went here on vacation because I'm a kombucha fan. I had a small taste of all 3 on tap and they were all great. I bought some jasmine love to enjoy for the rest of my trip. I was NOT a Kombucha beverage person until I started joining my 17 year old daughter there and was amazed how I actually enjoyed their fresh brewed Kombucha and not drinking Alcohol was a good reason to lead by example for my daughter. I actually gained 10 pounds in 1 week from eating their Home Made Pies and their desserts are to die for :))). I guess everything in moderations. Okay so this place is AMAZING! We had an early morning on Haleakala and needed some food on our way back down. Acai bowls, smoothies, juices, pre made salads and delicious desserts! They make delicious cold pressed coffee that was delicious and smooth. They also have a custom made juice and smoothie option which is great for those with allergies, blood sugar issues or other things. The staff was so friendly and knowledgable. This was such a nice way to start our day. My girlfriend and I heard it was vegan, but had no idea it was raw. We had the A.L.T Flat bread sand which and the La Tort De Cin. Both were delicious, but the the Tort was dangerously good. I could have eaten slice after slice of that. It was so sweet and creamy and had so much flavor. Life on Maui is so much better with Maui Kombucha! Have taken clients, friends, family and we are always treated royally. Never could drink store bottled Kombucha before due to all the vinegar which is too strong for me, but these guys use fresh, local, organic stuff and no vinegar- yay! There are things I genuinely love about this place. The key-lime-pie, the coconut-fruit-parfait, the Hawaiian-toast, the kombucha is definitely more drinkable and less vinegary then many others I have tried, the cold-pressed coffee drinks are good, and the salads and pizzas/save the tunas are really quite tasty also. Even if you aren't raw-vegan- those are things that most anyone would like. So, what I don't like, is yes, somehow it always ends up more expensive then it should be. I think most people are on a yoga-high and get totally buzzed on the booch that they don't really mind. I too have been charged for samples without knowing, and their deals change often enough that you end up getting screwed. ("Wait but isn't it happy hour- $1 cups of booch with a meal or something). The other thing that could use some work is the service. It is too small of a joint to be rude, and just because you are a booch barista does not mean that you get to act like Maui's version of a Portland Hipster. Be cool, be friendly, and for-gods-sakes don't chit-chat with all the customers as you are ringing them up and there is a clusterfuck of hippies trying to figure out where the line ends. Just get everyone served or figure out a better system for orders and taking money, and then feel free to chit-chat after the line has died down and they are sitting at the counter in front of you. Yes, the decor needs some work, the colors and artwork just barely don't work- they are close though and honestly they do a good job for such a small establishment. I do hope that they will eventually buy a larger place like where Lilikoi Grill use to be. Would be great to have them expand, get more room to move around and watch the hippies go about their days. read more

What happened to Maui Kombucha? We used to really enjoy their Kombucha and then something happened! All of the flavors started tasting the same. We would pour different flavors into different cups and then ask our friends if they could tell the difference and nobody could! This is so disappointing because we used to like it so much and now it tastes like some kind of chemical has been added to it. I can't even finish a 12 oz cup of it anymore. We have tried it at Whole Foods and at Mana Foods on tap and it is the same thing. I actually ordered a ginger turmeric and took it back because I thought they gave me the wrong flavor. But as it turned out it was because both of the flavors there tasted the same and still had that same chemically mixed taste in it. Who would have known that on our way back from the magical Forrest and black sand beaches of Hana, that we could have another out of body experience... And with food nonetheless. Thank you to the amazing chef who gave my husband and I the best raw dish we've ever tasted... And the other items were yummy too. If you can grab it, the live-lasagna is wonderful! Great place to hang out in Haiku. Tasty kombucha and yammy raw food. I especially love their raw deserts. You get free samples of kombucha (they have several flavors every day). I love the atmosphere, it's like a bar, but you drink kombucha instead of beer. Great place for socializing or hanging out with friends. Although I am not a vegan, I enjoy vegan food. I mainly come to this place for their desserts. Some of them are heavenly good. I tried a lot of items from their menu and they were good, but I would not have to eat them again. I also tried their cold press coffee and it was one of the best coffees on Maui.
