Made to order Matcha drinks! This was very tasty and she was able to put it together very quickly. There were also non-dairy milk options, which was wonderful! In the grand scheme of things, I think the pricing was spot on for the size of drink
(+) Lilikoi Matcha Latte (+) Matcha Latte Maui Matcha is an outdoor stand in the middle of the 'Shops at Wailea' shopping mall. A great add to the plaza where sipping on a matcha makes your shopping experience more enjoyable. The woman who took our order and made the matcha was pleasant and helped my wife and I. The menu is straight forward and ordering is easy. Drinks: My wife wanted to try the lilikoi matcha and she really loved it. The lilikoi made the otherwise bitter matcha sweeter and tastier. I thought it had the perfect depiction of lilikoi. They have oat, soy and almond milk available. Overall, I would recommend Maui matcha for your matcha needs. As a California resident and matcha snob, the matcha is better than average and good quality.
I was looking for a store front, haha, I was not expecting it to be a small kiosk booth thingy in the middle of the shopping center! The line for matcha was crazy long, the lady had to break the line in half so she can take her mandated 15 min break. Glad I wasn't part of the second half of the line, hehe. Anyway, it's highly impressive for the drinks to pack so much flavor and have the authentic matcha flavor from a booth. It just proves that you don't need a fancy-schmancy brick and mortar to serve quality stuff! The lady had high spirits and was super friendly, even though she was slammed and solo. Expect to wait in line for a bit, the drinks are made to order and not from a premade mix. Nothing to complain about except that I wish they had more locations around the island!
I ordered the Pistachio Matcha with oat milk, and it was nice that they did not upcharge for an alternative milk (though, for $10/drink, it's probably already hidden in the cost). I was really excited by how vibrantly green the drink was, and it was initially quite yummy, but it got a bit too sweet quickly. I'm not sure if the pistachio flavor was super pistachio-y, moreso just nutty. Overall, not bad if you want a flavored matcha latte, but maybe I would try something else next time in the hopes of it having stronger matcha flavor. Not bad for a small kiosk! The barista was very nice, and she was a real trooper for having to scoop matcha powder into the bowl in the wind!
This matcha stand tucked away in the shops of wailea was a surprising find as a matcha connoisseur! I did not have high hopes to find a good matcha place in Maui coming from Seattle/Bay Area but this stand looked really promising. They offered variety of matcha flavors, including unique seasonal menu items such as the banana bread matcha, which is what we ordered. I was mainly drawn to order some because they offered ceremonial grade matcha. We waited around 20-25 minutes while we shopped around the mall to wait for them to restock ice. Only one person was working at the stand but she was very kind and helpful when describing the different items on the menu. The banana bread matcha was fragrant, and the syrup was the perfect balance of sweetness to the umami of matcha, but the particular brand of oat milk used was a bit overpowering. Overall, I would come back and definitely recommend this place if you need a matcha fix while in Maui!
This review is actually for their Lahaina location. I've had Maui Matcha before at their location in The Shops at Wailea, so I was excited to stumble upon this spot at The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas, Ka'anapali. It's a cute little stand just past the lobby on the right. easy to access whether you're staying at the resort or just stopping by. The menu is simple and straightforward, offering classic matcha drinks along with a few signature options. We tried the Honey Lavender and the Honey Cinnamon, and both were really good. The Honey Lavender stood out--it had a sweet, floral flavor that blended with the matcha in a way that oddly reminded me of Fruity Pebbles (in a good way!). The Honey Cinnamon was tasty too, though the cinnamon was a bit overpowering and took over most of the drink's flavor. The staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations, which made the experience even better. I'd definitely recommend anyone staying at the resort to give it a try and locals should stop by too if you're in the area and craving a solid matcha.
YUM!!! Now THIS is good matcha!! It's made with ceremonial-grade matcha & they hand-whisk it in front of you! The matcha is frothy and creamy and it's a really good comparison to the matchas back home in Los Angeles. I got the Honey Cinnamon flavor, and it's so delicious I still think about it! The stand is small, so they only carry a limited number of items before they sell out. They recommended all of their signature matchas, and after trying the Honey Cinnamon, I totally trust their picks! If you're on this side of the island, I definitely recommend stopping by Maui Matcha. We drove 30 minutes to get here, and it was so worth it!
this matcha was actually really good, definitely better than most matcha i've tried i got the banana matcha since i heard it wasn't too sweet, and i'd say it's right in the middle, not too sweet but still flavorful it was around $10 for a cup which is a bit pricey, but it's hawaii so i didn't mind too much overall, really solid matcha and i'd come back again
We were craving matcha and stopped by because we saw they had good reviews! All of us ordered one of their signature drinks, the pistachio matcha. We were not fans, the pistachio syrup they use didn't taste like pistachio at all (it had a very overwhelming almond extract taste). Maybe it was just that one specific drink that is a miss; they do seem to hand whisk all of their drinks.
Custom Matcha Drink (Double Matcha). Amazing atmosphere and accessible parking. Lots to do in the area (outdoor mall, near beach). The matcha barista/expert was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and had a warm personality. The matcha was high quality, clean, and delicious! Definitely one of the best we have had in recent months!

This place was awesome! I came here while visiting from the mainland, and was pleasantly impressed by how high quality the matcha is. As someone who's a matcha connoisseur, I am picky & can safely say that this place exceeded my expectations:) beware that they may run out of supplies later in the day, so getting there when they first open is ideal. read more

Cute set up middle of the mall. Great service although the matcha flavor wasn't really there. Decided to try their ube matcha and neither matcha or ube flavor was really there so was kind of a miss for my personal preference. read more
I'm unfortunately a snob when it comes to matcha.. but especially a snob when it comes to syrups. I have a hard time with the typical Monin and Torani syrups--once I started tasting the artificial flavoring I could not handle having it in my drinks all the time. That brings me to Maui Matcha. Their drinks are delicious because they make their own syrups for the most part, it seems. The matcha is also of nice quality and it's not pre sweetened. I especially cannot do pre sweetened matcha. It's just too much. Maybe I'm aging haha. Anyway I made it a point to visit their location on Maui and I'm sad I won't be able to get it again for a while. Hopefully they can make it back to Nordstrom in Oahu so I can have them again! The girl manning the booth was top notch. Taking orders and making drinks back to back. It's hard work! But it pays off. Ordered the coconut banana bread matcha and the ube matcha with coconut milk. Both were pretty good and really smooth. The coconut milk is a good addition to make it more refreshing. As a Filipino, my one issue is that I overheard the barista explain that ube is a "Hawaiian sweet potato". A very wrong description for ube. It's not Hawaiian at all. Calling it a purple yam would've sufficed. read more

Maui Matcha is a gem! First timer here and drove 1 hour from where we are staying.I had the pistachio matcha with oat milk, and it was absolutely delicious--smooth, lightly sweetened and perfectly balanced. My husband had the ube matcha with oat milk, and he loved it just as much. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and the flavors are so unique and refreshing. Roni helped us and she was warm and welcoming. Whether you're a matcha lover or just looking for a fun, tasty drink on Maui, this spot is a must-try! Located at the Shops at Wailea, this spot offers matcha drinks. They offer only non-dairy milk options (oat, almond, coconut, soy) and additional sweeteners(honey, agave, maple syrup, monk fruit). I was curious to see what this was like so I ordered a regular matcha latte with oat milk and monk fruit as the sweeter. I believe the total came to $12. To my personal preference, this was unfortunately a miss for me and it tasted very much bland even with the added sweeter. I couldn't couldn't grasp any taste of the drink. read more

As a matcha lover, I was so excited to try this place after all the good reviews. It's a cute little cart in The Shops at Wailea. I ordered two iced matcha lattes, one with vanilla and one with honey. Both with oat milk since they are non-dairy. While I could tell they use good matcha, both of these drinks were horrible. Whatever oat milk they are using is probably the worst I've ever had. It tastes grainy and has a weird metallic taste or something. I know I got it with sweetener, but both drinks were also excessively sweet. I don't understand the point of using ceremonial grade matcha if they're just gonna drown it out with tons of sugar and crappy milk alternatives. I would want to give this place another chance, but I typically don't like almond or soy milk. And for $9 each?!? I'd pay that for a good matcha any day but this was definitely not worth it in my opinion. read more

They have a great product and I visit every time I come to Maui. It's one of the things I look forward to the most. The Matcha is ceremonial graded and organic. They offer several options from pistachio to plain and even have seasonal flavors like Blue Lotus and Strawberry! The service is amazing. Michelle is really nice and has lots of information on each flavor so she can help you decide which drink would best fit your taste buds. The drink is handmade right in front of you as well. Not by a machine! It's located on the bottom floor near the The Shoppes stage where live entertainment can be found, so it makes sense to grab a matcha and enjoy the entertainment. read more

So good. My barista was legit. I haven't had this good of a matcha latte in awhile! I got the banana bread matcha latte with coconut milk and it was so smooth and tasted just like banana bread! Even my non matcha husband was impressed. It's a stand not a shop. Ground level. Near sunglass hut. Line can get long but they try to go fast! read more

I cannot recommend this place enough. Small stand in the middle of shops at Wailea with one woman on shift. I tried the blue lotus matcha first and immediately needed to get another drink afterwards. I tried the banana bread one which was smooth and sweet. Only milk alternatives which is my normal -- get it with oat! I've tried matcha from 4 other places on Maui and this is hands down the place to go read more
located in the outdoor mall. we got here on a Saturday at around 2PM and there was a long line. there is only one person working, so it took some time to order & get our drinks. we ordered the classic, ube, & banana matchas. they all tasted so good! it was really unique to watch the individual making the matcha right in front of us. read more

The best Matcha stand on island... EASY!! The ladies who work here are so friendly and wonderful also :) Every drink has been made to perfection. They used to have a store but it burned down after the fires. The stand at the Wailea Shops is adorable only downfall is that it's not a restaurant but the shops have plenty of places to sit, chat, and enjoy the beauty of the area. read more

Loved the banana bread matcha! had it with coconut milk. The banana flavor was very apparent and lightly sweetened. We also got the ube matcha with coconut milk. It was good but wasn't impressed with the flavor. We couldn't really taste anything outside of the matcha. It was fun watching them make the matchas in front of you. What a beautiful little matcha bar! It's exactly what you need on a hot day. They had plenty of alternative milk options and lots of variation to their menu! Their menu was colorful and creative. I opted for the Honey Cinnamon Matcha latte with coconut milk (absolutely delicious) The focal point of their menu is their Uji Ceremonial Matcha; deliciously light with hints of chamomile flower and grassiness. It was so bright and flavorful! They know exactly what they're doing down to their dosage and temperature control. As someone who's worked in the food and beverage industry and within specialty teas and coffees, it was a pleasure to observe and talk about the craft and care behind their drinks. They use high quality equipment from Fellow's kettles to Acacia lunar scales, and a beautiful chawan, to name a few. I was helped by Christina, an equally lovely individual with a beautiful personality! She had a lot of knowledge and diligence in her craft. Talking to her was exciting! It was wonderful to watch my drink all be done in front of me. I would 100000% revisit if in Maui again!! read more

Maui Matcha is a little gem tucked inside The Shops at Wailea, and it quickly became one of my favorite stops on our trip! I had the classic matcha latte iced with coconut milk and monk fruit sweetener, and it was absolutely delicious--smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. Bonus points for offering different sweetener options, especially monk fruit, which can be hard to find and is such a thoughtful touch. The kiosk may be small, but it's charming and well-designed. I loved that you can watch the barista prepare the matcha traditionally with a bowl and bamboo whisk--it really speaks to the care and quality that goes into each drink. I'll definitely be back on my next visit to Maui, and I'm already hoping their permanent storefront will be up and running by then. If you love matcha or just want a refreshing treat with intention behind it, Maui Matcha is a must-visit! read more

I cannot say enough great things about this place!!! Maui Matcha is QUALITY ceremonial grade matcha that is prepared with so much finesse, it has love in every sip! I love how each drink on the menu is carefully thought out and each drink is soooo beautifully mouthwatering! I have been a longtime fan and typically get Maui Matcha from First Wave as I work in town, however this little kiosk is so lovely and Michelle the owner is so warm and friendly! It's the perfect sweet afternoon pick me up prior to a shopping spree or boardwalk stroll. I can't wait to be a proud owner of one of their home kits as their only downside is their hours are limited in the mornings prior to typical working hours. (: read more
