Got the pick your poison latte (vanilla and caramel, oat milk) in 16 oz. The workers were friendly and the drink came out quickly. The drink was just ok and I'm pretty sure we just got normal ice cubes, not the coffee ones that they seem to be famous for. Did I need to have requested that ice specifically? The price was a bit more justifiable with the special ice. Edit to reply: Pick your potion latte iced doesn't automatically come with coffee cubes even thought the "Get your latte hot or over coffee ice cubes" note is at the bottom of the pick your potion section of the menu ? Confusing

If your Asian mom is busy terrorizing the sales associates at Tommy Bahama and you have an hour to kill, get a latte from the Mauna Lani Coffee Co. and walk around Foodland. Everyone will ask you where you got that coffee while you pick up some Maui chips and floral print aprons.

Macadamia oatmilk latte with coffee ice cubes

Really quality coffee. I loved the option of coffee ice cubes as well so it doesn't end up watered down. Favorite coffee spot while we were on vacation!

Tried the King Tide (Mocha with mac nut and caramel) Ordered half sweet. Drink was delicious! Photo taken back at hotel.

As we were on our 2 hr drive across the island, our car mentioned for us to stop and grab coffee. We didn't regret it. Service was quick and simple. Ordered a late with oat milk. It was on the stronger side. The food was yummy. Croissant was buttery and crunchy. The sandwich was so refreshing and filling. The 3rd item was the avocado sandwich which I hoped had a little more seasoning. Over all we grabbed our food to go and enjoyed on the drive to Hilo Hawai'i. There are spots inside and outside where you can sit and enjoy the market area. Mahalo.

Service? Great! Coffee? Great! Price?... not great.

Located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. Interior was nicely decorated filled with merchandise and snacks. There is also a spot to take selfies or just a photo of your coffee fix. Service was great! Coffee and the bake goods were delicious! The jalapeño scone didn't have the texture of a scone...but regardless, it was tasty and savory. The King's tide was perfectly balanced, flavored with coconut, mocha, and caramel. The pricing though...it is shocking. I never spent that much on an ice coffee before.

12oz iced chai latte with soy milk & a shot of espresso
    Madison M.

Holy moly, this might be the best chai latte i've ever had! I got it with soy milk and a shot of espresso and wow, "obsessed" is an understatement! I might have to go back every single day while we're visiting the area. The shop had a wonderful musician playing and singing, adding to the already very pleasant atmosphere. I love to support business that also support local artists, so that was a plus The shop was busy, but my drinks were ready MUCH quicker than I expected them to be. A wait wouldn't have bothered me regardless, but it was a quick in and out trip.

"Dawn Patrol" -- white mocha macadamia nut latte

Wonderful vibes, even better coffee! The white mocha macadamia nut iced latte has coffee ice which doesn't water down your coffee as your day goes on! What a fabulous concept to used in your iced drinks. It's the little things that make all the difference in your coffee. Bold flavor, yummy taste. Highly recommend if you're nearby.

Gluten free Avocado toast and Ham&Cheese Bagel. Pretty but lacking flavor and value
    Kaeleigh S.

The baristas were all super nice and helpful, answered our questions and ensured a gluten allergy was noted for my food. So there definitely was no issue with service. They seemed to be doing their best. Unfortunately the food and coffee were just not great, and it was pretty dang expensive. I got the avocado toast made gluten free and it was also dairy free. The bread definitely needed to be toasted longer but was dry as sawdust either way. The toast itself was lacking in flavor, albeit it was very fresh and nicely made. Some salt or seasoning would help a lot. My husband got a ham and cheese bagel which did not come with egg as he had assumed and it was not substantial at all. The value was not great given what we got and what we had paid. I got a vanilla latte with mac nut milk and it was super watery and bitter. I didn't drink it. On the other hand, my husband got the cold brew and had no complaints about it. So maybe part of it is about what you order, but overall we were not satisfied and kind of felt like we wasted a decent sum of money.

We were only $20 short of reaching the $300 spending requirement for the free gifts, which should speak to how frequently we visited and how much money we spent at this store. Despite being repeat customers, every visit was met with the same poor customer service. All of the cashiers who helped us were rude, curt, and could not even acknowledge the smallest greetings. The customer service was so unpleasant that it was not worth the experience. The food is not amazing, the prices are not great, and the only thing this place has is convenience--nothing more to offer. In one instance, I got a burger and a black milk tea with boba. I specifically told the cashier that I wanted boba, but she did not ring it up. When I inquired about the missing boba, a young employee addressed the matter with the cashier. They talked, and I said that if it cost more, I could pay for it. She rang up the boba with zero acknowledgment of her mistake. Nothing came out of her mouth. Complete silence. In another instance, I asked a cashier what the gifts were if we reached $300 in purchases. She did not say a word. She simply reached for a card with images of the gifts and placed it on the opposite side of where I was standing. She said nothing. I asked if those were the gifts, and she said yes. She then pulled out her phone while I looked at the card, and I simply said, "Okay, thank you." These are just a few examples of the many disturbing encounters we had with all of the cashiers. While on vacation in a tourist area, this is not the type of conduct or customer service one expects to experience. It was disturbing, and we dreaded going there despite the convenience.

The restaurant is located inside the Mauna Kea Resort and just above the beautiful Mauna Kea Beach. They have a nearby location where you can see Manta Rays at night. The service is always very good at this restaurant and the food is amazing. During my last trip I got many fish dishes in Hawaii and they didn't exactly impress me so this trip I am going for other proteins. I got the bone in New York Strip and my wife got the dried aged pork chop. Our server recommended the pork chop to be cook medium and I already knew it'll be pretty good. My ribeye was very good. It was perfectly cooked to medium rare and it comes with a side of purple sweet mashed potato. However, my wife's pork chop was the most impressive dish. It was tender, sweet, and savory. I had some of her pork chop and I wish I ordered one too. I stripped that pork chop bone clean. The dessert was pretty good but I do wish there were other options. We ordered the Soufflé and the Chocolate Mille-Feuille. The Soufflé was very good but the Chocolate Mille-Feuille was just ok. Our server did recommended us to get the Bombe Alaska but I already tried it during my last trip. After dinner we all went to the cliff to watch the Manta Rays. The kids especially enjoyed this activity. I am not sure when I'll return to the Big Island but if I do, I'll probably be visiting Manta again.

We planned this evening well in advance, making reservations over a month ago and explicitly noting the milestone celebration. My husband even called ahead of time to confirm, and the staff assured us they would do something special for them. The letdown began right at arrival. The hostess was passive and asked our table, "Who is celebrating their anniversary?" Given that our party consisted of two couples under 40 and my in-laws, it felt incredibly unobservant and careless for a luxury resort host team. Later in the meal, my husband quietly asked our server if anything special was planned for the occasion, only to be told, "No, we don't do that." Beyond a casual, passing verbal acknowledgment, absolutely nothing was done. The only true highlight of the evening was the beautiful view. Our server was friendly, though a bit awkward, but the kitchen and bar execution were highly disappointing: * **The Drinks:** Highly overpriced for the size, lacking in flavor, and tasted noticeably watered down. * **The Pacing:** While thankfully, we were in no rush, it took a tremendous amount of time to receive our appetizers and salads, though the entrees did arrive quickly after. * **The Food:** Every dish was exceptionally expensive, yet the portion sizes were minuscule and entirely flavorless. The Caesar salad, in particular, had a very strange, off-putting flavor profile. * **Dessert:** We ordered the $17 cheesecake, which was absolutely tiny. For a premium dining experience on the coast at a luxury resort, you expect a balance of ambiance, culinary excellence, and attentive service. While Manta has the ambiance down, the food and hospitality were entirely lacking. We left the restaurant hungry, deeply disappointed, and feeling that our family's major milestone deserved a much higher level of care than what we received.
