Located inside Island Gourmet Markets at the Queens Marketplace shopping center, this place advertises to be the 'First Brewed-To-Order Boba Milk Tea & Organic Beverages in Hawaii'. We were excited to try a few drinks and heres the rundown: Waikiki Sunset Organic Lemonade - Looked pretty but was so overly sweetened with syrup I could not drink it. 1/5 stars Mango Green tea - Under-sweetened. Like watered down mango snapple. 2/5 stars Thai milk tea - This was the favorite. Tasted freshly brewed. Smooth and Refreshing. Perfectly sweetened. 5/5 stars. Winter melon milk tea - sampled this flavor and also tasted smooth. You can taste the winter melon. Good as well. 4/5 stars Boba - chewy soft but not really sweet. 3/5 stars. It seems they struggle with the sweetness levels of their lemonades/iced teas but the milk teas is where they get it right. My advice- go less sweet on lemonades and more sweet on iced teas if possible. Otherwise avoid. Milk teas on point. Price is $4.99 per drink which is about average. I was craving for a smoothie and decided to come here since it's close to the resort and it's a new place. I figured, if this island is all about tropical fruits then maybe I can try something exotic and quench my craving. Smoothies are $6.99, one size. I picked the Pink dragon over the Strawbananarama-ade because I wanted an exotic fruit. The pink dragon is dragon fruit, sorbet, soy milk, and banana. First there was not really a line but a bunch of people standing in front. I had to ask if they were waiting for their drink or pick up. Turns out only one person was ahead of me. She was there for awhile. It took another while before we were acknowledged and our orders were taken at the same time. I was given a yellow receipt and you take that to the register to pay where they mark it before you come back to claim your drink. When I got my drink, I took my first sip and it tasted like something I couldn't remember at the moment. Then I realized the best way to describe the flavor is Bubble Yum! It tasted like bubble yum! I was expecting freshness with more dragon fruit but you can tell it was mainly sorbet and rich in thickness with the ice. Based on this, I would have give a 3 since I have nothing else to compare it to. Although their bowls look good with offering only two flavors. Açaí and Pitaya. There's happy hour promotion from 4pm to 6pm until Sep 5 for 10% off $7.99. They also claim to be the first and ONLY freshly brewed made to order service on the island. So I would like to give them another chance and try their milk teas and lemonade. I was excited to see a large selection of teas to choose from, but was quickly disappointed that my drink (genmaicha) and others were made from powder. Even after mixing thoroughly there were still powder bits. Also, don't get the boba. While reasonably priced (75 cents), they were completely rock solid. Based on other reviews it doesn't seem the boba was a one off bad batch. That said staff were friendly and prompt. Service was quick, just quality of the tea was not great. read more

I ordered 3 drinks and asked for light ice which is pictured below. The lady told me since I ordered light ice, this is what I'll be getting. I can't believe it's only 90% full. I came here two days ago after I landed and thought it was decent, so I came back here to receive this kind of service. I guess it's my fault to ask for light ice because I didn't want the ice to water down the drink. I honestly don't even consider this light ice. The drinks here are definitely half milk tea and half ice just from the picture below. I might've been a little too desperate for this. Will I come back again for the third time? Probably not, I rather drive 40mins to Kona for milk tea. Hopefully, they will change their service and live up to their award title. read more

Boba is life. And there is finally life on the West side of the Big Island. I can't speak for the Hilo side, but Kona has never had a decent boba spot.....ever. Enter Teapresso Bar. 100% legit milk tea / boba joint. This is the good stuff. I live 80+ min away from Waikoloa, and always hated driving there unless I had to. Now I look forward to the weekend, to drive there JUST for milk tea. A store-within a store, Teapresso is a corner of the deli of Island Gourmet Markets, which is an anchor store at Waikoloa Queen's Shops. Whoever decided to buy some milk tea equipment and teach the deli workers how to make the drinks- I thank you. Each drink is 24 oz, and milk teas are the standard base. From there, you can choose what type of tea as well as any add-ons (boba, coffee, rainbow or lychee jelly; .50 each). Each tea has a sweetness level next to it, if available as an option (0-100%). My favorites are the Signature milk tea with 0% sweetness, and an add on (boba or jelly). They balance each other out and isn't too sweet. Honeydew milk tea is very very good, but you can only get a minimum sweetness of 50%, so that may be too sweet for some. I usually rotate between honeydew and signature, each time. I also sit around long enough to drink two of them each trip. 10 drinks on your stamp card gets you a free one. I have two free ones in 6 trips I usually like plantation iced tea and gave it a shot here. I didn't care for it. It tasted almost carbonated, and tasted more like lilikoi/lemonade instead of iced tea/pineapple juice. I don't think I'll be trying again. Other teas I have had and enjoyed were the jasmine, hojicha and genmaicha. Service is always good. The workers are friendly and I often ask them what their favorites are. Honeydew has been the most common reply. Someone else has mentioned this, but the ordering protocol here is a little funky at first. You will probably see people standing around, hovering near the counter. Once you figure out who is and isn't in line, you place your order at the counter. You are then issued a yellow receipt which you then take to a register within the bigger store. Once you pay (big fat red stamp that says PAID on your yellow receipt), you then take it back to Teapresso counter. Weird, but all good. I can't wait til I'm back for more. What used to be a dreaded drive to Waikoloa is now joyous. Maybe I'm glad Teapresso isn't in Kona town. I would possibly be there daily. Yikes read more

I was so happy to have a milk tea boba option in the Waikoloa resort area. The tea was surprisingly good! I like milk teas that have a strong tea flavor and I got lucky today cuz this place delivered. Boba was good too, a little al dente but I'll take it since options are slim. Teaspresso is located in Island Gourmet. Nobody stands there waiting for customers; it is manned by the deli attendants. There is a new plexiglass guard at the counter. Came at 6:00PM on a Thursday. I asked the worker who was making drinks where to order as there was a sign to go to a different register. She said very rudely, "look at the sign. I'm closed." So I asked if I should order at a different register. She very loudly (I don't want to say yelled, but...) said, "I'm closed!" I said it was only 6:00 and she was making drinks, but she dead stared at me, shook her head, and ignored me. Ok! Hours are posted as closing at 9:00pm, and the rest of the place was still open.
