Mark and his team are fantastic. By far, they were the best movers I've ever hired across many moves in the past 10 years. I hired them to move me from San Francisco to Dallas last week. Mark was quick to respond, and his price was the lowest and simplest (no deposit, etc). Quite honestly, I was a little worried at first, only because he has 100% 5-five star reviews on Yelp (which is rare) and he required no deposit. But I went with my gut and hired them. They were on-time (early, actually) and very quick to move me out of my 2-bedroom apt in SF. His guys were incredibly polite and respectful; no complaining, which I've ever experienced with some other moving companies. He and one other guy drove my things to Dallas in 48 hours and moved me in to a second-floor apt (no elevator) in 105 degree heat in less than 5 hrs. I would recommend this company to anyone; seriously, do not hesitate to hire them for any type of move. Just finished the move this morning. Went from the SF Peninsula to Reno. Mark, the owner, takes care of the customer directly. He's prompt, courteous, and collaborative. His team took great care with my belongings - no breakage or scratching of items, walls, floors. They wasted no time but always slowed down to ask me questions and to treat my items with care. The MAV moving crew saved the day, as I ordered an oversized couch and the contract service company that CB2 uses (and I paid for) left it in the garage when they discovered it was too long to go up through the inside stairs of my townhouse. I put out a request on Yelp and MAV responded immediately, saying that they would send 2 guys and a truck over to hoist the couch over the second story front balcony and guaranteed that if they could not do it there would be no charge. They showed up on time, were super polite, and took great care with the furniture piece. After giving it their very best efforts, they concluded that they would need another person since the couch was so heavy. The next day, they showed up on time as promised with Mark (the owner of MAV). I was amazed at the technique they used to get the couch up onto the roof of the truck and over the railing of the balcony. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat for any move, large or small. Many companies wanted to charge 3x as per hour or have a minimum of 3 hours. Super nice, have great communication and will do what they commit to do when you need it done at a very fair price. Mark and his wonderful team came to the rescue during a week of terrible storms and road closures to move my 95 year old mom. I was worried about what could go wrong but Mark's team was amazing. Not only did they show up early (and I was late - so sorry) but they were incredibly efficient, professional and were so careful with my mother's belongings. They wrapped her furniture so nicely, made sure all boxes were secure and odds and ends were carefully dealt with. They braved the weather beaten highway 17 to move my mom to my house "over the hill" and carefully maneuvered their large truck down my winding narrow street (impressive!).
