The LA Fitness at 4454 Hollywood Blvd in West Melbourne has seriously deteriorated and is now…read moreunacceptable due to persistent, unsanitary conditions that management consistently ignores. For months, the bathrooms have been revolting: toilets frequently overflow, sewage and filth get tracked across the locker rooms and even into the turf and workout areas, creating a clear health risk. Showers often lack hot water entirely or provide only inconsistent warmth, while the hot tub has been out of service or barely lukewarm for just as long. Members have repeatedly reported these exact issues--through the app, emails, and directly to staff--yet nothing improves. Maintenance requests sit "in progress" for nearly two months, with empty promises of fixes that never materialize. Staff seem indifferent or unresponsive, and the overall decline continues despite the membership dues we pay. Expecting basic cleanliness, reliable hot water, and a hygienic environment isn't asking too much--it's the absolute minimum any gym should provide. If you're thinking about joining this location, look elsewhere until they finally take member complaints and basic upkeep seriously. This place has gone downhill fast, and it's obvious that cleanliness and accountability aren't priorities here. Disgusted and extremely disappointed--1 star is being generous.

UPDATE: They lost their stars due to their lying corporate business practices. I got a 3-day guest…read morepass through my mother that expired after 2 days. It literally does not make sense except as a means to get more memberships. This kind of underhanded, lying greedy practices should not be rewarded (this hurts as someone from L.A.!) Standardbearer of what amenities and services a gym should have: pool, changing rooms, saunas, cycling room, dance hall, gym, plenty of machines, and a personal training area. The staff is friendly enough and the instructors energetic and fun at what they do. Only star demerit is that it has no smoothie stand and its design is too suburban-oriented - it will ever not be absurd that people drive to the gym instead of bike and walk.

This is the perfect gym for anyone into powerlifting, olympic lifting, strongman, and strength…read moresports. They have all the equipment you would ever need including competition powerlifting plates, KG and LB bumper plates, Texas Bars, IPF bench and squat setups, mens and women's olympic lifting bars (Eleiko), jerk blocks, all kinds of strongman equipment, and a full rack of DBs and accessory equipment. Best of all, there is an inviting community inside of the gym. Mike is the owner and head coach here. He is a lifter himself and owns a few powerlifting state records. He runs a great gym and is really inviting to anyone looking to join. A bonus is that this place is 24hr and $50 a month. This is the best value for your $ in the Space Coast region. If you come at off-hours, the gym is yours, and even during busy hours everyone is really accommodating. This is a really great gym if you are looking to excel in any strength sport or learn how to lift/compete for the first time.

I have been a part of multiple gyms throughout brevard. Out of all of them, Recruit Strength takes…read morethe cake. If you are looking for a place where you can let the true strength athlete in you shine, this is the place for you. Recruit Strength offers a gym where you can blast music as loud as necessary, get dirty in the chalk bowl, and not worry about offending people while you lift heavy on the deadlift platform. Everybody in the gym is friendly and supportive to promoting each others growth in their respective strength sports. Mike and Jenn (the owners) are some of the nicest people you will meet. They have provided strength athletes of Brevard with a competitive and encouraging gym atmosphere, the only one of it's kind in the area. Two deadlifting platforms, olympic lifting platform, three squat racks, two benches, a thompson fat pad, lat pull, leg press, leg extension, reverse hyper, glute ham raise, atlas stones, yoke carries, kegs, circus dumbbells, log presses, accompanied with any specialty barbell/accessory equipment you could want (and more!).
