To start out, I was a bit apprehensive of the whole let's book a helicopter tour of Maui as I am a bit claustrophobic. Once meeting our pilot(Jacob/Jake?)?) and talking to him I was a bit more relaxed. With the size of the chopper and the number of people, we all had window seats. Is that good or bad? The initial liftoff and hovering was a it to take for me as the helicopter states and continues to wiggle the entire aircraft. Once we were a bit further off the found, it disappeared and I was very comfortable the rest of the flight. The views are simply breathtaking. The pilot kept us in line and takes about the various parts of the island and waters as we flew by them. We've been waking up for days at our condo and looking at Molokai in the distance, it was nice to be able to fly over and see what was actually there . My favorite part was the coral reef. Next was the water fall. I know it's kind of $pendy, but it is worth it. I would do it again in a heartbeat. read more

WOW!!! What an incredible experience. A MUST-DO if you're in Maui!!! My friends and I had Felix as our pilot and he made us feel safe, shared a ton of information about the areas we saw, and communicated everything we'd do and feel clearly. The route he took was one that left us in shock and awe at just how beautiful the islands of Maui and Molokai could be! We ducked into ravines and went beyond where hiking trails go, snuck up and over ridges of volcanoes into the most stunning landscape, and peered down into the tallest waterfall I've ever seen!! An experience you'll never forget. Whatever you do, do this once in your life! You won't regret it!!! read more

The Molokai Voyage tour was incredible. I'd never been on a helicopter before, and though I did get a bit queasy, the sights were absolutely worth it. We saw the coasts, the cliffs, the fields, the ocean, the Wall of Tears (an expanse of wall with who knows how many waterfalls leaking water directly out of the volcanic rock), all beautiful features from a unique perspective. My husband and I had done the Wailea hike and seen a couple of waterfalls, but we'd gotten rained on, and the trail was slippery and treacherous at points. The helicopter ride was an infinitely better way to view all of the waterfalls that you could want. It filled us with awe to see Hawaii in this way. Highly recommend! Just maybe be prepared for some motion sickness. read more

Maverick Helicopters Maui is incredible! I recommend the Molokai tour. It goes to Molokai North Shore and the cliffs are breathtaking! The cliffs were the most amazing part of the trip!!! The untouched, pristine coral reefs in Molokai were stunning. I've never seen anything like it. The entire trip was unforgettable! Totally recommend Maverick Helicopters. Five stars all the way. One of the most memorable things we did in Maui. So much fun to ride in a helicopter. Obviously the seat by the pilot, nothing compares to that. I also wanted to take their tour of the entire island of Maui. But on the morning of, it was cancelled. So just be aware that your helicopter tour can be cancelled due to weather, like fog and visibility. It was a bummer. One day, I'd love to take their tour of the island. I especially would love to get an aerial view of Haleakala. read more

Our second time flying with Maverick. Yesterday we flew to Hana and had the best rainforest experience with Pilot Alex! Took off at Kahului, flew over the ocean and landed on a piece of land in Hana! He was extremely nice to our family especially to our kids. We had the best guava and soursop right off the trees! He explained everything to us, safety, weather, plants and history. Take off and landing were flawless! One of the safest helicopters in the market and they are very VERY well maintained! If you are looking for a helicopter ride experience. I highly recommend this place! read more

Oh my goodness!! You definitely want to go on this helicopter tour. We did the Molokai tour that's one hour. I couldn't believe how fast the time flew by. Our pilot was Tone. He made the trip totally amazing! Great sense of humor and a lot of knowledge about this island. We were worried about the flight being canceled because of the rain but luckily it cleared up. And, the rain helped with the waterfalls. Definitely be sure to wear dark clothing so you don't get any glare with your pictures. I am totally going to do this again!! Check in was very easy as well! AMAZING!!!! Felix was our pilot and he was perfect. This has been the very best tour we have had by far! Now helicopter tours will be a must on our vacations. I get motion sickness and thought for sure I would. The night before I took one dramamine pill and followed up in the morning with another. Our flight was at 8am! On a pretty clear day! We went on the Molokai tour after being told it was the best . I have used this company before in Vegas on the Grand Canyon tour (which was the greatest experience I've ever had to date ) The pilot was a very friendly guy There is a brochure with flight map of what you would see, , on our trip we didn't see what that map showed nor did we fly according to that map we primarily stuck to the coast , great view and we saw a lot but the main reason I took that flight was to see more of the interior of the two islands Pilot was informative with lots of insight, but with the research that I've done and learned previously to this flight I have found that several facts quoted were inaccurate All in all it was an unforgettable experience, You can see the same flights with an island hopper flight from west Maui to Oahu and the air plane flight is cheaper! read more

Amazing and professional! Our pilot Jake was well informed and very friendly. We were supposed to do the Hana jungle flight but Re-routed to Moloka'i due to visibility. Still worth it! One suggestion tho- perhaps suggest to other passengers to wear dark clothin? One of our fellow passengers was wearing white and his shirt reflected into many of my photographs. Many lost opportunities of Maui and Moloka'i 's beauty Mahalo for a great afternoon! read more

Can't say enough good things about our Maverick Helicopters trip! My wife surprised me while on our latest Maui outing, and paid for an aerial tour package. For me, it was the highlight of our vacation, as the experience was above and beyond my expectations. From the moment we stepped in, the service was amazing. The staff at the counter was inviting and truly professional. Facilities were new and well maintained, which puts you at ease that their aircraft are probably serviced at the same level. The helo itself was clean, comfortable, and our pilot talked us through everything. He had a wealth of knowledge about the area as we flew over, and encouraged us to ask questions. It was a relatively cool day when we went up, so the flight was smooth as butter. I was completely shocked when I learned mid-flight that we would be landing at Maverick's private area smack in the middle of the wild. Being able to step out into a jungle paradise was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Surrounded by lush greenery, a cool ocean breeze, and seeing natural waterfalls is quite exhilarating. To top it off, we were served a glass of champagne to toast our excursion. I felt like a rock star. To put it all in a neat little package, Maverick Helicopters completely blew us away. I can't say I would do this every time I come to Maui, as it is pricey, but it's worth every penny. However, for those looking for a unique experience on the island, I would recommend Maverick over any of the other operators! read more

The Maui tour was really amazing. We thought it was really worth it. The view of the rainforest and waterfall was absolutely beautiful. We also saw a full rainbow! The guide was excellent. Very steady ride and he was very engaging throughout the tour. One Star knocked off because the booking experience was quite bad. We booked online and got a call in a few minuets saying that the trip was not available at the time we chose. The woman on the phone was confusing and slow. We spent a long time on the phone with her (at least 30 min) she wanted us to waitlist for the tour on another day then later on she said the tour was available. read more

We had an awesome experience with Maverick. Our party arrived early, as advised by Maverick, and instead of having us all wait in the waiting room for 45 minutes, the pilot took us all out on the tour earlier than scheduled! We took the Maui/Molokai tour and it was incredible! Our pilot took us through the mountains and we saw so many unforgettable views! He was also very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about the area! Definitely an experience you can't skip! read more

We wanted to try something different on this trip to Hawaii and this was just the thing we were looking for. The booking process was easy, I appreciated the confirmation call and staff was very professional, friendly and Covid-compliant. Our pilot was awesome and did a great job explaining things and pointing out landmarks as we went. (This was a perfect way to see the Road to Hana without having to actually drive on the Road to Hana.) Loved the pit stop with celebratory champagne and the amazing scenery. Our helicopter tour of Maui was one of the highlights of our Hawaii trip in June. We chose Maverick Helicopters based on their years of experience and safety ratings as well as the reviews, and we were not disappointed. Our pilot Felix was very professional and knowledgeable and made it a fun trip. The ride was smooth and the views spectacular. The cloud cover prevented us from seeing into the volcano crater, but he flew us around the crater and we had magnificent views of the valleys and waterfalls. SO MUCH FUN! I had never been on a helicopter so I wasn't sure how I would like it. My sister and I took my daughter on a girls trip for her graduation. This was definitely a highlight of our Hawaii vacation! Our pilot was so much fun. We landed in the forest on an old taro plantation to explore and it was really beautiful. This is saying something - I even managed to fall into a stream onto some sharp lava rocks, turns out I had a hairline fracture on my arm, I scraped up my arm and leg, got wet AND ruined my good camera! HOWEVER, I still had the time of my life!! They took good care of me. They can't help it if I'm a bit of a klutz! (The pilot warned me before my graceful fall that he himself had fallen in) This is definitely a great way to see some beautiful scenery, waterfalls, rainforest, cliffs ... and some excitement as well. So much fun on an amazing helicopter ride with Mavrick Helicopter Tours the best on the island!!! We saw a shark, a baby and momma humpback whale, dolphins, manta rays, a submarine, a lot of the island and it's awesome waterfalls ITS JUST BREATHTAKING!!!! Surreal!! This was my favorite thing we did in Hawaii! We did the Rainforest/Molokai tour & it was the BEST! My hubby & I went with another couple & it was a first time for all of us. I had heard that helicopter rides could be very nauseating, so I was a little nervous, particularly for my friend who has vertigo. We did take dramamine & wore a c-band (they sell something similar in their gift shop) & none of us had an issue. The pilot was very skilled with the aircraft & knowledgable about the area- I thought we'd all have tons of questions, but we were all just silent- I think it was because we were all just in such a state of awe. It really is indescribable. To be able to see such beauty up close & from such a vantage point- it was truly amazing-- would absolutely & definitely recommend it & this company. read more

We did the Molokai Voyage, and it was incredible. The sheer size of the waterfalls on Molokai are breathtaking. We happened to be there during whale season, and we were treated to a pod breaching. Definitely worth the trip back to the airport to do a heli tour. Not sure we would do it a 2nd time (maybe in a couple years), but would definitely recommend going once. read more

Fantastic! Wonderful! Exciting! Educational! Beautiful! The helicopter ride to Hana was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my whole entire life. Thank you Maverick helicopters for providing this wonderful opportunity for people to be able to see such a beautiful landscape that they could not get to by foot. My pilot Jake Harmon was fantastic, wonderful, informational, and super nice. He has been flying for 20 years and he knows what he's doing. I'm afraid of heights but he made me feel 100% comfortable. He seemed to go out of his way to make sure he could do all possible to keep us comfortable with maneuvers and turns. Meet the Business Owner: Greg R.

Maverick Helicopters' founder had the vision to create a company that would provide service at a level not previously offered in the helicopter tour industry. In December 1995, he did just that and formed his business in the Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas, a destination known for VIP and luxury service. There was a hiccup in your booking system, you allowed us to book a tour because you did not close your online reservation window. If you were sold out why did the website allow us to make a reservation? Hence the "hiccup". After we booked the tour, we did move a flight around so this person could make the tour that we had a confirmation email for. Very unprofessional to email the next morning saying you were sold out AFTER we made the booking. Yes we did book late but if you were sold out you shouldn't have allowed us to make the booking plain and simple. We called multiple times because we were asking about pick up arrangements and were told to keep calling back to see when/if the tour filled up, because only then would they be able to tell us what pick up rotation we would be in. I wanted to know what hotel would be the first pick up, etc. I didn't care that our two parties were not on the same bus, which was why I didn't mention it in the booking. 2. Since you claim to have the proof that he wasnt speeding, why dont you show it? It absolutely does corroborate with the Google maps picture. I did move the camera to get a video of how bumpy the bus was DUE TO HOW FAST THE DRIVER WAS SPEEDING! But I'll include another video straight ahead where you can see how fast he flies past the mountain. As for your lies, you need to come up with better ones. I asked for a Spanish translator due to the fact only ONE person in our party spoke Spanish. The fact that you guys said we were speaking Spanish all day is hilarious because NO ONE IN OUR PARTY SPEAKS SPANISH except my mother in law, who didn't speak the whole trip. Let's add more proof that you guys are racist - when the driver picked us up II asked about the Spanish ear piece translator before my mother in law was there. We didn't ask the tour driver for ONE illegal thing AT ALL. Due to the fact he was an arrested convict (which you can find proof of by googling it) he made illegal stops on his own! He even mentioned how the rangers loved him and when HE chose to make the illegal stop in front of the waterfalls, the ranger allowed it bc they told him make it quick. Let me also add one thing I forgot to the review someone in your company gave our tour guide my number and he texted me twice asking me for his tip which was EXTREMELY unprofessional. This is an extreme safety violation. He unprofessionally texted me "This ***** Just making sure I did venmo right.. If sent tip, I have not recieved..." at 7:27pm. And "If you could let me know.." at 7:56pm. For my safety, I should NEVER have received text asking about a TIP! Even if he was wondering about the tip because he wasn't used to electronics, you still should never text someones personal cell phone number. Since he did mention multiple times that he was a liability I was scared he was going to show up to our hotel since he knew my number, hotel location, etc. Where is the response to the bulk of my review??? Do you have an explanation for how we know all this information about him being fired from his last tour job? How the current owner was only allowing him to drive as a fill in driver as a favor? Why was he a liability? Bc he speeds and risks the lives of passengers? In one of my videos I do have him talking about the story of how his dad gave him money and guns to illegally transport. The answer was Yes, one can change into swimsuits during lunch before the black sand beach visit and then change out of them at a stop after the waterfall stop to be dry for the ride back to the hotels. A few days before our tour I received an email confirmation that included other useful information, such as bring along swimwear, towels, water shoes and a light jacket for the air conditioned van. I had not considered the A/C and I'm always cold, so that is a very welcome heads-up. On the day of our tour we received texts that the driver was on his way. Pretty close to the scheduled meeting time the van pulled up to our resort. The van was spacious with huge windows. Our tour was full with all 12 passenger seats occupied. Our driver/guide was Travis. He was born and raised in Hana and was a wealth of knowledge about Hana, Maui, and Hawaii. He seemed to be related to all the locals he passed on the road. There was not dull moment. Among the stops along the way were Maui Tropical Plantation for breakfast, Auntie Sandy's Banana Bread stand for those that wished to purchase, Wai'anapanapa State Park (black sand beach, also with a lava tube and a blow hole), Pua'a Ka'a State Wayside Park (usually calm enough to swim but the falls were roaring due to rain earlier in the day), and Ho'okipa Beach with turtles on the beach. Travis was an excellent driver and guide. We got great value from the cost of the excursion. One minor thing did bother us. We are Jewish and were uncomfortable during the praising Jesus sing-along. Regardless, we recommend this tour and especially Travis as a guide.

This was the most memorable excursion from our Honeymoon. I spent decades in Helicopters and have become pretty resilient from riding in them over the years. I must say this is one of the best rides I had. The views were breathtaking and we were able to see many attractions throughout the island that we would otherwise not have the time to see. For my wife, it was her first time in a Helicopter. She has severe anxiety. I think i still have her nail marks in me somewhere from the beginning of the flight. About 10 minutes into flight, the beauty of the lanscape overcame her anxiety and she we totally calm. The pilot explained the process prior to departure and conducted a safety briefing. The staff was very friendly and helpful before we departed. The pilot was very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained history of the island and what it has to offer. His knowledge of the island and geological data far exceeded our expectations. We had plans after the flight to visit and hike the mountains (for sightseeing), but after the flight, we seen so many areas that we decided not to go because the flight had satisfied all those needs Once we landed, staff was ready to direct us off safety and also took our picture in front of the aircraft. I would recommend this for anyone visiting the island. read more

Spectacular! Awesome! Magnificent! We were scheduled for the Hana, Haleakala Crater, however the crater was fogged in. As a "substitute" our pilot suggested an alternate route and we were bumped up to the Hana, Molokai Island tour! What a ride! Cannot say enough about the pilot! Our pilot Felix was outstanding! Informative, engaging, personable, very knowledgeable and professional! Maverick is the only helicopter tour company that shuts off the aircraft while boarding (no blades spinning) and also only one of two, that have mics for all passengers, which means you can talk to the pilot and amongst each other. Large viewing windows. ( I did my research before choosing ) We were astounded at the views of the landscape, especially being down in the volcano, seeing the thousand foot waterfall and the wildlife that Felix pointed out, while piloting. Superb! We saw several whales, Manta-rays, sea-turtles and of course the goats on the cliffsides of Molokai! Take the ride! You will not regret it! Fantastic!! read more

We decided to book the Hana tour for one of our Honeymoon excursions. It was not only the highlight excursion of our Honeymoon, it was a trip of a lifetime. Everyone at Maverick is professional, welcoming and pleasant. The facility where we checked in was clean and organized. Captain Nick Taylor was amazing. None of the passengers aboard, including us, had ever been on a helicopter and he explained everything to us before we boarded and during the flight. It was SMOOTH and incredible. His narrative during the flight and knowledge of the island and area was educational and engaging. Then, we landed in their private landing zone in the forest meticulously maintained and preserved with respect to the area and the island. A glass of champagne, fresh fruit from the property, more history and we are back on our way seeing waterfalls and terrain likely only viewable from the air. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Hawaii! My mom and I get car sick, and weren't interested in driving the road to Hana. But we got even better views from the helicopter and saw way more waterfalls than can be seen on the road! The helicopters have lots of glass so you can see things very well from all different angles. It was a smooth and comfortable ride. I also loved stopping in the plantation. Absolutely unforgettable experience! The helicopter tour with the landing in the Rainforest was breathtaking -- the views were out of this world. Even small things -- like tasting fruit straight from a cacao tree -- made the experience extra special! Our pilot, John, was incredibly friendly, professional, and shared so many interesting facts along the way. It felt safe, smooth, and magical from start to finish. We took the West Maui / Moloka'i with Maverick and was very impressed with the entire operation of the company - from ticket booking to our pilot Alex - our trip was the highlight of our Hawaii vacation!! Alex was a very skilled pilot and provided an amazing tour. Our trip was beautiful and can't wait to come back during the whale season! We flew with Eddie today and the trip was amazing! He took us up into some valleys that cannot be accessed by land. We saw sights that I have only seen in movies before this!!! Went on a Whale watching kayaking tour last Saturday and had a BLAST! Our tour guide, Kris, was…read moreawesome!! She did a thorough introduction before we went out on the water, helped us get on/off our kayaks with ease, and made sure we were all safe while respecting the Hawaiian waters and their majestic creatures. We saw so many whales breach in every direction, heard their songs clearly above water and under water with the paddle trick. Kris also took a few photos of us while we were out there! It can be a little difficult to hear out there on the water, so be sure to speak up and ask your tour guide to repeat if needed. Would have loved to hear more about facts about the whales and Maui in general, and it'd be cool if the tour guides used Hawaiian words like "Huli" which means "flip over". Luckily we didn't huli! Tip: Be sure to hydrate, eat a snack, wear reef safe sunscreen, long sleeves if it looks cold, stretch your hammies, and use the restroom beforehand as they don't offer these during the tour. I wish I brought my hydroflask, but I survived! Also, help out your locals and leave a tip if they meet your expectations! No need to bring cash unless you have a place for it, they'll email you with the photos and their Venmo to optionally tip.

I emailed the owner, and…read moreshe responded quickly with several date and time options that fit perfectly into our schedule. She was extremely thorough about safety (huge priority for us. We have two kids, 10 yo and 7 yo) and took detailed measurements to ensure we had the right wetsuits, snorkels, and fins. Our experience was amazing. She educated us about the reef's habitats and the aquatic life we were likely to see. We even got to see an octopus and several sea turtles! My husband and kids absolutely loved it. It was truly a highlight of our trip.

We found Maui kayak through a search and Maui Kayak Adv. had great reviews and it seemed to be on the side of the island we were on. Bonus... they are a B Corp. (look that up if you don't know) A company who gives back is super important and they are a small business, extra bonus. We had reservations for one day but the swells were a little "extra" so they called us to reschedule for another day. We had a little wiggle room and I appreciate that they cared about safety and even visibility in the water. Communication was super easy either via call or text and I was always updated on location of meet up. We were super lucky to have Heather as our guide. She was super nice and had great vibes and was super knowledgeable about the ocean life and geography around us. She took us to great spots and we saw tons of turtles amongst all of the other tropical fishes both shy and "brave" She even took amazing pictures for us of creatures up close by free diving and we got to download them later. Out of our on of our water snorkel adventures on our trip this was our fave: Heather was just all around rad. So support a small business who gives back to the community, and the environment and has amazing customer service and experience. Paul and Travis gave us such a memorable experience during the Outrigger tour. Paul gave us a…read morethroughout history lesson, and was so knowledgeable of Wailea, and the surrounding areas. He left me yearning to know more of this magnificent place. Travis was at the helm, pointing out places that Paul was mentioning, and also his keen eyes spotted a whale on our journey. If you are staying at Four Seasons Maui, this is a must do. Make sure to make reservations, they go out at 7:00am, 8:00am, and 9:00am. We took the 9:00am, and we're grateful since the 7:00am was canceled due to the waves being too uncharacteristically choppy. Mahalo to Paul and Travis for an amazing adventure, and wonderful experience!

This tour was not as it was described at all. It was barely…read more45 minutes and they didn't paddle to see anything. We booked this trip for our mom whom is a good paddler but wanted to go with a group. There was no descriptions of cultural anything, they saw nothing. They barely left shore. We've seen the outriggers before pretty far out seeing the whales while we are out paddle boarding. But this was not as described at all. It saddens me to even write this review.
