So let's get down to basics - it's a convenience store. So does this location live up to that? I can say very much so, in that regard this one is very well situated on what is now a major East-West corridor in the South Valley and is super easy to get in and out of quickly. Service is friendly and it's a clean and generally well laid out store. Definitely one of the better 7-11 locations I've been to, and fairly reasonable prices when it comes to the food and beverage offerings, but for day to day commodities such as milk for example the grocery stores are still generally cheaper. I never get gas at 7-11 so I don't really have a frame of reference for how they compare on that front. Hopefully someone else steps up to review in that regard.

I know this sounds silly, but I get irrationally angry when I can't find the things I'm looking for. My kids know we don't shop at Smiths if we can help it be has nothing makes sense and I can't find what I want. But Lee's makes sense and when I can't find something there is always someone to help. They will even order things to keep in stock for you. I asked for a specific pasta years ago and a few weeks later they had it. They still carry it now! I love the deli and the bakery. Everyone is kind and helpful and everything tastes good. I love the meat department that prepares delicious meals I can take he and cook with no prep. They also always have time to help me find the right type of protein for my meal and are always so kind and happy! I love the man who always tells customers about the good deals or what's coming up on sale. Last year I was told he personally bought holiday treats for the kids so they could have something more than just a candy. He wanted it to be more festive! He makes shopping there feel like home. As do all the friendly employees. And speak of the treats, my kids love finding Buddy and claiming their treat. I specifically go out of my way to this location for Sedona sparkling water--it's that good. I already have other brands at home, but I come here for that one. Today, it wasn't in the cooler. So I took one from the shelf and briefly placed it behind iced tea so it would be cold when I came back after my workout--then checked out and left. While I was checking out, the manager on duty, Steph, was watching me closely. As I was leaving, I saw him holding the drink I had moved. When I asked if that really bothered him, he called it "weird." I asked why it's weird for a customer to want a cold drink, and he repeated it multiple times--calling me "weird" four times and saying, "this isn't your personal refrigerator." Despite being a regular customer, he also claimed he had "never seen me before in his life." The situation escalated to the point where I was escorted out by a police officer. The officer was respectful, but that's beside the point--this never should have escalated at all. I've never been escorted out of a grocery store for wanting a cold drink. Being watched, labeled, and treated as suspicious over something so minor felt wrong, and I can't ignore how it came across. At one point I was told, "this isn't your home." Noted--it's good to know this store doesn't consider itself a place for paying customers from the neighborhood. To make it worse, when I called afterward, the person who answered was laughing about it. This wasn't about policy. It was about how a customer was treated. And it was handled poorly from start to finish.
