It was really impressive to see Russell who was the only person working at the shop, both in the front and in the garage taking care of three customers ( including me) at the same time in a very professional and efficient manner. I made an 8am appt, arrived around 7:53am and store already open, Russell immediately greeted me & get the paperwork started, not only did they fix my tire, they also did tire rotation to ensure my car is balanced. He patiently explained the process & safety reasons. The price is also very reasonable. I was done in an hour! This Mavis is farther from me but i don't mind driving extra 23 mins, as we have very poor experience at the Great Neck location. Hope corporate Mavis would acknowledge & support Russell's team. Went in for a puncture repair on a fairly new tire. They tried to up sell me a brand new tire saying they couldn't repair the tire. I asked them to confirm the damage that couldn't be repaired, they only could showed me that the tire was rubbed on the outside because of the flat. Took my tire to another tire technician and we both inspected inside and outside of tire. The tire was fine and is repaired now. Either Mavis tire of Glen Cove tried to up sell me an unnecessary new tire or they are incompetent. However you look at it, it's not a good place to bring your car. read more

Terrible service!!! I ordered the tires I need and been told to come over at 10:00am next day to change it. After coming a little after 10 they are telling me my tiers won't be there until 4 pm!!!! First of all I totally planned my day and had my friend with to drop me at work after I leave my car there. And now my day is totally ruined! And the other thing I've been told one total price through the phone and now they are telling me it's going to be 100$ more!!! It's ridiculous! Zero Stars! The waiting area is filthy and smells terrible. The employees had on Gators not even proper masks. Horrid customer service from the front desk, I believe Mike. He was EXTREMELY rude to ALL the customers AND technicians. He roughly pushed a tech aside to get to the computer, it was insane! I came in for a flat tire patch. When the tech came back in with my paperwork I had to go up to the guy at the desk to ask what the deal is and I got an off handed curt response, "you need a tire", with no explanation and no options given. I don't trust these guys to fix a hang nail much less a tire! Two people there BOTH had to bring their cars back TWICE because the problem wasn't fixed properly, and both were simple jobs. Went in for a Oil Change on a Sunday. They helped me and did the job and had me in and out fairly quick with a reasonable price. I would have given 5 stars but after I got back in the car my steering wheel had oil on it as the tech did not clean his hands off and also they did not include the typical sticker in the windshield to remind me of the next oil change interval. I needed to replace two tires and Pirelli directed me to Mavis as my closest dealer. They did not have them in stock and arranged for them to be shipped from another branch. I went in three separate times for the 'install' to find the promised tires had not arrived. Even the third and final attempt was a disaster as the tires they had sent were wrong so I had to wait two hours for a redelivery. The icing on the cake was that they tried to charge me $40 more than the price they had quoted. I told them to put the old tires back on and that I would go elsewhere. read more

Brought my car in because the tire light was on. They filled it with air and it seemed ok, but I knew I would need new tires. Sure enough, 2 weeks later the light is on again. Researched tires and went in to ask if I could get all 4 changed. They told me they could give me an even BETTER deal on tires. Ok, so they give me the price and I call my husband. He said no, stick to the tires I want you to get on the car, I like the brand I picked out. I said ok. I tell the guy, sorry, I would like to get the tires I originally wanted (they were MORE money than what I was being offered). Suddenly, they don't have them in stock and say oh, give me your number. I'll call you when they come in, should be a day or two. Well, a WEEK LATER I was still waiting for a call! I figured I would try Mavis by Broadway Mall. I called there and asked for the same tires. I was told to bring the car in on Saturday and I could get them changed (this was a Thursday). I said ok, 2 pm is fine for me. On Friday, Hicksville Mavis calls and says come in around 9 am on Saturday. I said oh great, I'll be done early? He tells me no, the truck with the tires comes at noon!!! I said I would like to wait with the car, so why would I should up hours before the TRUCK arrives? I said can't do it...either I come at 2 pm or I can't bring the car. He said come as close to noon as you can. Fast forward to Sat morning and I'm ironing and doing housework. I get a call at 11 am and they say "the tires are here, are you coming in???" I said ok, I'll be there earlier than 2 pm, but not right now. I managed to get there by about 12:30 pm. I probably waited an hour but they replaced all 4 tires. Needless to say, I am STILL WAITING for the morons at Glen Cove Mavis to call me and let me know my tires are in!! It has been almost 2 months!!!!! read more

I was just in with my Kia Optima today and had amazing help to fix my tire considering I wasn't really prepared to have to run around this morning to get this flat fixed. They took me in quickly and I was out within 2 hours. Five stars for the customer service but I have to say a very disturbing event happened after. I spent $180 in total today just for the mechanic at the end to come up to me and my boyfriend and say he would pay to watch me and him have sex. I SPENT ALL THAT MONEY JUST TO BE TOLD THAT? REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH THAT WAS THE MOST INAPPROPRIATE THING TO EVER BE SAID TO A PAYING CUSTOMER. I was ready to make another appointment for my car but I will NOT be back. Not accommodating and apathetic when something goes wrong. After an oil change that cost more than they quoted, oil leaked on my driveway. The mechanic did not plug it right and also stripped the oil pan screws. . And misdiagnosed as a Quattro malfunction on my Audi when it just needed an alignment and new tires. I went there to get a new tire because my tire had puncture and a spare tire was on my car. They did a good job with changing tire, but forgot to put my spare tire back in the trunk. I didn't notice that the spare tire was missing till about one month later, so I called them. They seemed aware of the fact that they forgot to return the tire.
