I have only been coming to this STS center for the last year but I have nothing but great things to say! I've been in some terrible situations with a couple cars within this last year and every time STS has been there to save the day! Every time I've come in for a repair they get started right away and by 10am-11am I get a call explaining exactly whats wrong and what needs to be done and an estimate for the repairs and by 5-6pm it has always been ready! I have to say that every estimate I've gotten from these guys has been very reasonable and never caused my jaw to drop which is always nice when it comes to auto repairs. In my experience I've never had to make an appointment, just called the night before or even the morning of and said whats wrong and been able to bring my car in immediately! 3 years ago, my family and I were driving back from New York City when we got a flat tire and then we got lost in New Jersey (I'm now convinced you cannot get out of New Jersey once you get lost there and NOBODY knows how to get out either) which was very stressful, and the only bright light of this was this tire place. First of all, this location over charges customers. I had to bring my car into the shop 3 times to get it fixed. They did not provide me with any reimbursement for the inconvenience. I was very disappointed. I will be going to the Pennington shop from now on. read more

So I have been coming here since I bought my car (approximately 9 years). During that time they have done a fantastic job in what I asked. They also suggest other things that I may want done( some people see this as a way to get more money from you but all you really have to say is no and I will think about it, then the topics will be overlooked). I had my car in a really bad situation( breaks failing, axil failing, exhaust failing) and they used discounts to help lower my final pricing. Overall I recommend coming here. I could get a free oil change at my local Honda dealer but they take HOURS to get it done. I have a long commute on weekdays with little time on weekends for errands, so I pay to get my oil changed at the Mavis Tire (formerly STS) on Rt 206. They are fast, friendly, and don't pressure me into a lot of other stuff as they try to do at Jiffy Lube, etc. I have been taking my cars there for well over a decade. read more

I scheduled an oil change and tire rotation days in advance, and yet I have been sitting here for over an hour and the car is still up on the lift. If I schedule an appointment for 9:30, I'm assuming that's an option because it's an open slot. I'm sorry the computer doesn't know about people that called in for an appointment, but maybe you should update your system. Or put people with appointments in front of walk ins. I have a life. I do not have an hour and fifteen minutes to sit here and wait for a service that should take 45 minutes tops. My brother is an auto mechanic and I'm not an idiot. If only i could walk off without paying. Unacceptable. read more

A nice gentleman on the phone for sure. BUT- when my child's car was towed in there for repair I think he must have thought he had someone without options there. When he gave me the estimate I called our own mechanic to find out he was charging me twice the amount needed for each part, and my mechanic was pretty skeptical both parts would go at the same time. He estimated about 30 mins to repair, STS charged me for two hours- fair enough, they didn't know the car as well. At the end of the day....the original estimate for repair was $1300, and because I questioned it and had an authority on the other end it cost me $820 in the end. Buyers beware- go into educated and they will work with you, but if you just take it you'll be paying it! read more

Horrible service. Both times I've been there were bad. First time I took a car I was buying to get it checked out. They said it would be $60, which I accepted. I come back and they invoiced me for the $60 plus an additional $50 oil change that I didn't ask for. I told them to take the charge off, but they refused since the service had already been done. I pay the $110 + tax and get in the car to find out that they broke the side mirror. I go back and tell them and they said "oh, it was like that when we got it". TOTAL BS. Second time, I took another car to get the brakes changed. They said they had to replace ALL brake pads, rotors and calipers. I told them to change just the brake pads for now but they refused. Since I was in a hurry, I said ok to everything. After the fact I did some research and find out that calipers do not all need to be changed when only 1 malfunctions. Ripoff! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. read more

My TPMS light was on so I made a 3:30pm appointment for them to check it out and see if perhaps I had a slow leak in one of my tires. Ninety minutes later, I was told that nothing was wrong with any of my tires. They then proceeded to give me a rundown of the recommended repairs and preventative maintenance I should get on my car, but never told me the reason as to why my TPMS light is (still) on. I wanted to give this place a try, but truthfully, I feel that it was a total waste of my time. Now, I will likely be going to the dealership where I am certain they will be able to rectify the problem. I don't intend on coming back here. Wish I had a better experience. read more

My breaks were grinding when I brought the car in to see the experts at STS. I ended up with two tires and a very fast brake replacement and the cost was less than I expected. Now the car drives smoothly and I have good brakes and great tires. I can't believe how good their technicians (mechanics) are at diagnosing and fixing automotive problems. read more
